The most beautiful wolf I have ever seen. Probably going to keep her around for a while! Lost track of how many DGs I've trained and in what order, but she was in the top 10 for sure.
Grace knew she was pretty. Ever since she had been a pup, Grace had been receiving comments about her appearance and beautiful pelt. The remarks had only increased as Grace matured into a fine young she-wolf, and heads would turn and whispers would follow everywhere she went. With her black and white marble piebald fur Grace looked like a cross between Gemini and Venus, the spray of speckles from her back to flank like stars of a heavenly body, and two piercing glittering green eyes like viridian gems that could see straight through your soul, Grace was a goddess shackled to the earth in the form of a wolf.
Okay. Maybe pretty was an understatement. Grace was gorgeous and she knew it. Growing up with constant praise to her physical attributes made Grace terribly vain and a little bit cruel, unfortunately mostly to those who weren't as fortunate. She accumulated a cult following, a small pack who would shower her with worship, and she basked in the glory. Grace's beauty became her identity, and she loved it. But as time went on, Grace became to realize that aside from her magnificent decor, there was nothing else to her, and in turn the only reason why wolves loved her so much was for her appearance. Once she became old, white, and balding, all the attention would go away, and she would have nothing left.
So, Grace left her cult, and set out to find a greater purpose to life, and herself. She trekked on for miles and miles, until she stumbled across Black Swan pack. There, she became close friends with the girls, and over time established herself as not just beauty and grace, but a strong and deadly she-wolf that can tear off your face. She retitled herself 'Coup de Grace', meaning 'death stroke' or a 'mercy blow' to end the suffering of a dying creature, appropriate to ending the suffering she didn't even realize she was going through. She still goes by Grace however, Grace just has a different meaning to her now.
Coup de Grace entered the pack a shallow, vain, and cruel she-wolf incapable of relating to anyone else, and possessing a holier-than-thou god-complex like never seen before. However, she joined with good intentions and a good heart, and so Grace has made excellent progress on her personality. She is now much less vain and privileged, but still no less a majestic creature, although now Grace glows with self-respect and fulfilment instead of pride.
As much as Grace could boast change since she joined Black Swan pack, there are still some old habits she hasn't been able to shake, namely her compulsion to keep her pelt as pristine and clean as possible at all times. Her beauty is her pride and joy, just not as much as it used to be. After every hunt, she will diligently clean herself from nose to tail, and unconsciously avoids any situations that would sully her fur, such as wrestling in the mud in the rain, and submitting to any of Chicago and Astrid's shenanigans. She visits the nearby stream to check up on her appearance once in a while, but her visits are growing small and in between as the months wear on.
Grace is the head of border patrol, as well as the more unsavory of the pack tasks to be done in the shadows, such as the relief of pups when there isn't enough space to go around, and the dispatch of enemy wolves that threaten the well-being of the pack. She figures seeing a pretty face right before you die is a mercy, right?
Grace also discovered that in addition to a beautiful pelt she has a beautiful voice. She enjoys singing with her daughter, Odette, whom far surpasses her in skill.
