My names meanest 'The One', but I the truth is, I'm not special.

I look into the eyes of my enemies and see them shrink lower towards the ground.
I feel their fear growing stronger and larger.
As they wait for me to end them, I don't. Because I'm merciful.
I simply sit down and wait for them to flee.
Some judge me by my name.

Now here's my story.

Father growled softly, pacing anxiously. Mother sighed as she gazed down at me.
I looked up, meeting Father's fierce gaze and Mother's anxious eyes.
I felt a jolt of pain sear through my stomach and I vomited, yelping. Suddenly, I seemed to know. I was sick. That's why Mother and Father were so anxious.
"He can't possibly be the next alpha of the pack!" Father scoffed, though I could tell he desperately wanted me to live. "There's nothing wrong with him!" Mother snarled, instantly turning on Father, "He'll get better."
Father turned his hard gaze towards me and growled, walking away.
Mother stared at me, sadness clouding her gaze as she carried me and trotted after Father.

(A couple years later)

I rested my cool yellow gaze on the omega. I would take over the pack one day and I needed to establish my dominance.
"Omega, come here," I commanded, a slight snarl in my tone. The omega glanced at me, irritation flashing in his eyes.
"Yes, Beta?" Omega asked, his brow furrowing. I growled again.
"Go hunting with Alpha," I suddenly remembered Father asking me to assign a wolf to go hunting.
Omega nodded and walked away.
