Ooh dragon questions would be cool! Bit of a general question, are riders able to ACTUALLY talk with dragons at all? Out loud, mind linked, etc? I'm sure after enough time together they can read the body language of their dragon and "communicate" that way but I was just curious if there was any actual chitchat between then |

I don't have any plans for Urchin to be able to actually speak, though she can kinda half communicate mentally with people around her. [Limited to mostly saying short words or broken sentences, usually relating to emotions or feelings.]
Nothing creepier than the pitch black of space, tryna sleep and suddenly just hearing 'hungry' echo around in your head 😭
I don't see a problem with some variation in how/if the dragons can communicate :0 I think some being able to talk and some not being able to would actually be quite interesting. |

Honestly it's totally up to y'all! Right now, I've got Vel being completely mute. He doesn't make any noise whatsoever. |

Java cannot speak Human, but Dally can speak Dragon. I would limit Dally's "dialect" to just Java, or Dragons like Java that are more of the earthy type so that he cannot speak to all dragons. T.T Just sitting there minding you own business when all of a sudden- "FOOD NOW" - I think I'm probably stick to a similar vein with Halcyon. Not exactly fluent, but he can speak to Charlie (and the others if he wants) in her mind with shorter sentences and emotions he wants to push through |
