Wolf Play : design marking help

With all the pups my pack breeds I'm frequently sorting through pups while more are coming in. Interestingly, the pups appear just before the labor alert (which is really a birth notification). And for that first minute or so they each show up as rarity score: 0, generation: 0.... before their actual stats have time to load and the labor alert comes through.

kinda self explanatory. i need some help thinking of some types of markings that can be found in an original species that i'm working on.

the themes are:

- ocean

- water

- waves

- fish

Color changing markings. So only the markings change color, kinda like a chameleon. The more dynamic markings it has, the rarer?

Fin markings. This one is kinda limited to the spieces, but it sounds kinda cool, i dont even know if it has fins but heck it. When the fin is "out", there's no marking. But the fin can change into a marking so it's "hidden". Can also be done with like add ons, for example those angler fish things.

Panda like markings?

Markings that get bigger, or smaller depending on age.

Markings that change depending on where you look at them. Now this is a rather complicated idea, so i dont know how it would exactly work oof :'D

Freckles, spots, splotches, etc.

Yikes I forgot to subscribe so I didn't notice questions. I meant mostly marking wise. The color part will depend on where the species come from in the ocean
