BackGround:
Hollowmere was once a city of scholars and mages—known for its necropolises, moonstone towers, and devotion to the Veil: the sacred border between life and what lies beyond. It stood for a thousand years… until the priests of the Hollow Flame attempted to “pierce the Veil” and summon their god.
They failed.
A rift opened. The stars went silent. The city was swallowed in a night that lasted three days.
When the dust settled, the only living soul found was a child—Nymera—curled in the ruins of the moon chapel, perfectly unharmed. She had no memory. No name. Her heartbeat echoed with something other.
The Temple declared her cursed. The last priestess of Hollowmere branded her “Vex,” meaning “wound.”
She was raised in the outer chambers of the Moon Temple—not in the light of the goddess, but in its forgotten basement libraries. She was taught to read, translate, recite prophecies, and pray for a forgiveness she didn’t understand.
At night, she read the banned tomes. She memorized the bones of the world. She studied how the gods lied.
At 14, she vanished for two years.When she returned, she remembered nothing… except the phrase “The stars remember me.”
