Just wanted to post a happy life update. I graduate college in 22 days, and I am beyond stoked. I've been stressing over a job for months at this point (I certainly started looking a little bit too early) but I finally got one!
I applied for an animal care tech I position because it was all this company had open, and I don't mind that at all - animal care is what I've always done. But this company has so many opportunities for growth, including stem cell research, which is what I really want to do, and it has full benefits plus a bunch of extras. Went and did my interview, and a few days later they called me back and offered me a tech II position from the start, which pays better and is a stepping stone I can now skip, since the jump from I to II can take some time. I start that job in a month now, and I just feel like for once, everything is falling into place. The past few months have been nothing short of horrible, and I just feel like a massive weight has been taken off my chest.
