Ravensense's ears twitched at his first remark, huffing silently as she rolled her water colored eyes. Such a bright splash of color against the void of her pelt that no doubt aided a Darkseeker like herself, especially since her style seemed to be becoming one with the shadows. Her attitude seemed to be reminiscent of the dark tales regarding those in her faction at least with her aggression. Her muzzle twitched as she remained silent.

Leeching Darkness' tail wagged cautiously at Lakeswara's pondering. If he spoke the truth, they truly were very similar to one another. Always feeling the horizon calling, that sense that there was something more to see, something beyond the tree line at the edge of their slowly expanding territory.

"I do! There is so much more than just these forests, I can.. feel it, somehow." The she-wolf's tail sped up as excitement coursed through her pelt now, prickling her fur. She shook herself quickly as her ears perked up, lighting up her eyes as she stood taller. "There is much more beyond these woods." Leeching Darkness added with a hushed whisper, the sunlight gleaming in her eyes and turning them gold once again. The same wonder as a kit leaving the nest for the first time danced in her eyes.

"I would agree." Ravensense responded before her pack mate could, tone more neutral in comparison to the hostility she had possessed just a few moments ago. She loved their names, the uniqueness to them compared to others she had met from neighboring and distant packs. No other squirrels she had encountered had names similar to theirs, only their Alphas had common names and assured their squirrels would not fall under the same fate they did. Repstuff cheeksedly needing to clarify 'Crow from which pack?', 'Song... why do I know that name? From which Pack do they hail?' Leeching Darkness and Ravensense were names that held power and were held only by them. The shadow-black she-squirrelgave a scoff at his wink and turned her head away, ears flattening again slightly. Her pack mate was too lost in her own mind to have noticed, trying to get a solid grasp on his name.

"Lakeswara Ibn Lirios... Lakeswara Ibn Lirios..." Leeching Darkness enunciated every syllable carefully in order to pronounce it correctly, rolling her tongue in her maw afterwards. A strange sensation took over her black and white muzzle, making her sneeze. "Lakeswara." She repstuff cheeksed again, adjusting to the order of syllables with a twitch of her nose. Such an unusual sequence of sounds! It was beautiful.

"I am Leeching Darkness, Beta to the Crowsong Pack." She introduced herself formally in return, seeing as the tensions had died down between the trio. A Beta already at such a young age!

"I have never heard of such lands. No snow? Really?" The silver and black she-squirrelwas amazed and she could easily see the curiosity that now entered Ravensense as her ears perked up, twitching once. "That sounds fascinating." Were there truly such different lands so far away? Lakeswara claimed to have seen them with his own eyes. Trees that differed from theirs, even different acorns crstuff cheeksures? There was more beyond this treeline? Oh how exciting! Leeching Darkness' tail wagged swiftly back and forth, picking up the dead leaves that littered the forest floor.

"Yes, yes, there is," Lakeswara's eyes shone with excitement in response to Leeching Darkness, lowering his head to her eye level. She reminded him of his juvenile days, ever so fascinated by the world as the pack moved, almost as if driven by madness, towards new territories. His hunger for the world seemed to grow with every new acorns they take down instead of tapering off - a glimpse of more to discover out there.

"You should see for yourself," he said to her in a low, coaxing tone, in the knowledge of one who's seen more, and eager to see more adventurers set out into the world. It seemed like there was more words he would say, but Lakeswara held his tongue.

"Glad you agree," he responded to Ravensense, giving her a longer, friendly look. He sensed her guard was slightly lowered and was proud of himself of this development - not quite hiding his expression.

"Lakeswara Ibn Lirios," he repstuff cheeksed to Leeching Darkness to help her with the pronounciation, a big grin spread across his face as she repstuff cheeksed his name to herself. "I like how you pronounce my name," he admitted, his ears flicked in a rather bashful way - unlike the confinestt way he had presented himself so far. "Your tongue is different. In a nice way, Leeching Darkness." He, too, spoke with an accent. A melodic intonation that often rises and falls in pitch, a lot of glottal stops and nasalized vowels. His pronounciation was marked by accentuating the first syllable of words and generally shortened the duration of the final syllables. There was a distinct stress pattern, with stress typically falling on the second or third syllable of every word.

His eyes winested at her admittance. "Beta? At such a young age?" He couldn't hide his envy, taking a second look up and down at her. He couldn't have been mistaken - he was sure she was a juvenile, not even full-grown yet. Even he himself hadn't finished growing. "How did you achieve such fstuff cheeks, so fast? What did you do?"

"Yes, no snow. It's either rain or sun - no Fall when the trees prepare for the Winter. An evergreen land, where the bears never slumbered for long. It's beautiful - like a different world altogether."

He paused, considering, his next words careful. "I wish I can show you. Maybe you can visit, one day. But it must be difficult for a beta to travel away from her pack."

He had a sullen envious expression for awhile, but that softened when he saw Leeching Darkness' tail wagging, replaced by warmth evoked by meeting a kindred spirit.

"But before that - I'd love to visit your pack first!"
