In case you want to make an OC ask youtube for some adivce :3 there are some funny, but at the same time informative videos.
I don't think OC is bad just cause it's simple or there are many similar to it ^^ it's your OC and has some meaning for you, like book Little Prince and his rose. Originality is probably not something achieveable.
Your pick of colors in interesting, smart also, since blue and purple so well together while warm orange contrasts them both. Coloring is bit messy on her front leg-doesn't fill in how it should.
You can work on your OC, imporve it if you want or keep it like this :3 whichever you prefer. Here let me show you one of my favourite OCs.
Meet Cherry ^^
As simple as and common as they get XD she is soe shade of sakura pink and has ocean blue eyes. Also Cherry is in top 3 name for any pink character I guess XD but I still like her a loooooooooooooooooooooooot <3
Why such simple name? Some of us like simplicity and names that you think of just by looking at something-not the great peace bringer or something with hidden meanings pulled from some barerly used language, no offense to languages, but just cause it sounds weird doesn't mean it's unique nor really that awsome. But I might be biased, I love my language and so I orbit around it a lot X3 Cherry is actually from Mon Cheri, some other OC from RP and person playing it and me just finished each other thoughts and it was great, but sadl short time since they left WP. I got this OC around that time so Cherry is also memento, beside it being cute and sweet ^^
Personality I think plays bigger role. And having simple OCs to doddle of wheny you have art troubles really comes in handy.
