Right, right. Mind your toes, we got a big package of art here.
I've had pretty major art block as of late. Like major. Not been grstuff cheeks. We're working through it.

Some exciiiting news though, my sister gave me her old [very VERY smashed] ipad, so I've been trying that out! Taking it to get the screen repaired tomorrow and I'm waiting on a second hand pencil for it at the moment :D
An ipad will never replace my primary setup [Cintiq 22 + Photoshop] but I do like to draw on the go and the portability of an ipad is kinda unbstuff cheeksable!

So, to start us off here's some doodles on the ipad :]

Here's #1. I did this with my finger so it's uh,, yeah. Also tomatodoes that thing where it hates pngs for some reason, ugh.


Here's a WIP using a knockoff pencil, so no pen pressure
Yes, this is a picture of the ipad I was too lazy to save. Fun fact, this is the least smashed bit. I've had several glass shards in my finger from this LOL.

annnd here's another piece with the same knockoff pencil :0 really trying to get a feel for Procrstuff cheekse again. Might put this one on the free to use avatar thread once I've made the credits a bit clearer :]

Lowkey though,, I'm not sure if I like these ones. Might try a different pixel style? They're too uh,, noisy next to each other. Might make the animation less constant? We'll see!

Okay, okay. Another art dump.
SO! An update, my iPad's screen is now fixed. Turns out the drop also damaged one of the internal components so the replacement cost me a sexy £260 in total. Ouch. Buuut I did also obtain a second hand tomatoPencil so I now have been blessed with pen pressure! :D
If anyone has tips and tricks for Procrstuff cheekse I'd love to hear them, this program has lowkey been putting me through my paces </33 It just feels hard to have control over my brush strokes. So slippery. I don't know.
Drawing on a glossy screen and on such a small one is a big change! Might look into getting one of those paperlike screen covers. We shall see,,,

Here's some doodles from before I had the tomatopencil, these were done with a lil knockoff stylus :] Just trying to get a feel for the program and how it works,,

Annnd some random portrait. Imported my Photoshop brushes over but they work so differently :[ will have to fiddle with the settings.
Eyes are diff sizes/too far apart but I'm too lazy to adjust.

Annnd another Indriel. This was done on my graphics tablet! :D
Indri's design is still gonna change a bit but y'know, problem for future me.



More rambles/thoughts, feel free to skip
At the moment it feels pretty uh,, difficult to finish things on the iPad/Procrstuff cheekse. Something about it just feels better suited to sketching. I do find my urge to doodle is a lot higher on the ipad though, which is nice! It's nice to just draw whatever rather than sitting down with something in mind to draw. Most of the things I draw these days have an intention in mind - it's an OC idea or classwork or something for a friend,, something intentional. I don't do much random doodling just to draw anymore and I don't think that's grstuff cheeks. I do feel like the ipad lends itself to that kinda artwork more.

I'm still struggling to detail things and have any precision on the ipad but it's literally been less than a week of use, so I think that'll come with time. I got a lot to learn with it and it's SO nice to be able to sit in bed or in the living room and be able to draw. It's very nice to not be tied to my desk :]

The colouring and shading is so pretty and soft on the eyes, i love it so much. The cow is absolutely adorable and Helios with the plant is so cute too :]

Procrstuff cheekse uh. DEFINITELY has a learning curve. But when you find the right brushes it is so nice <3 I also found the glassy textureless screen a bit challenging first but I definitely got used to it at some point! Though I know many people also have the textured screen protector, I actually find that it's hard to find an iPad screen protector that doesn't massively impair its touch sensitivity to a point where it stops registering 30 percent of your normal finger touches </3

And I definitely agree, doodling on an iPad sitting wherever is so much nicer than having to be stationed somewhere!! :3 I always sit in bed when drawing LOL
