I think that's just a pineapple thing. I heard because of the acid, pineapple basically eats you while you eat it.

I tend to donate all 1 and 2 feedings prey, use the 3 and 4, and sell anything greater than 5. I do have some elephants buried for when I need food after a hiatus lol
