I have two answers to this question, partly because of the sheer amount of DHs in my den ;-;
Under normal circumstances, I'd look for specifically DH. Sometimes other battle boosts like ES and HH are really nice too.
But I have a massive DH imbalance in my den right now, and most of my battle wolves are DH because of this exact reason. And I look for a balance of DH and non-boost for WoW. Which means in my currenct circumstances I don't want DH battle wolves because I have about three times as many DH battle wolves than I do non-boost e.e
So in answer to this question I'd say strike a balance between young DH and non-boost (or useless boosts are quite a nice touch, like ST, AP, NF etc) wolves in terms of training. I don't entirely care about weight because it doesn't affect PvP, and vitals aren't a dealbreaker unless they're hugely negative. Rarity and pelt defects is not even a consideration for me (it's a battle wolf not a breeder after all), and attributes like Obd are nice but again, not a dealbreaker. Ditto with talents.
In fact the only dealbreaking thing for me is age. I want to be able to use the wolf for a long time, not five days before they get taken by DS. Age is the only dealbreaker - and sometimes also if they have DH or not when I have an imbalance of PvP wolves. Other than that, personally nothing else really matters.
