Starbound
Everyone has a purpose in life, and it's up to them to find and fulfill it. A few young astronauts have found their calling among the stars, and have been chosen to go to the moon. On launch day, everything goes well, not a single problem. That is until they are knocked off course, and upon an unfortunate series of events, ended up in a whole other galaxy. A crash landing causes them to end up on a strange planet, and the astronauts are thought to be dead by everyone back on earth.
Once off the ship, they discover the planet is inhabitable, and is already inhabited. But the question is... what lives there? And will they will starbound forever?
The 'Crstuff cheeksures'
The astronauts really aren't too sure what to call them. Alien doesn't fit, since they technically are the aliens here. These crstuff cheeksures are bipedal, but can also walk on all fours. Their appearance varies grstuff cheeksly. They are very tall and thin, and appear humanoid from a distance. Up close, these things are absolutely horrifying. Some have smooth skin, some are furred, and others don't even have skin. They can have horns or antlers, and have incredibly long claws. Humanoid hands, but their feet can be paws, hooves, or anything imaginable. They can have tails, multiple heads, no eyes or multiple eyes. There's no way to really describe them in a way that makes sense. They're downright horrifying, but some of them are friendly. Oddly friendly. They're just cultists and worshippers, but the astronauts don't know what they worship.
The Astronauts
Young people, aged 21-30. It's incredible how they became astronauts so young, but they have always known this was their destiny. It's written in the stars. They get along well, or at least seem to. They had no idea any of this would happen, and they are all incredibly shaken by it. I mean, getting knocked into a whole other galaxy can really damage someone. Mentally and physically. Some of them may be physically hurt, which is extremely deadly considering the fact there's nothing to trstuff cheeks them with.
The Planet
Almost like earth. It's filled with flower fields and the occasional flowering tree or river. The skies are a lovely, pale lavender color with dusky pink clouds. There are always visible stars in the sky, as well as the three moons that the planet has. The trees have pink flowers, similar to a cherry blossom tree, and produce strange fruit. If one goes far enough, there are forests of these trees. But as the forest goes on, the trees get larger and eventually die, and completely block out the light. There's a toxic gas filling this part of the forest, though it appears to be pink fog. Strange crstuff cheeksures lurk here, but these ones aren't friendly.
If someone manages to make it out of the forest, they'll be greeted with odd structures and buildings. They don't quite make sense, but the crstuff cheeksures really like them. Everything is intricate and odd, but also familiar. In the center of these structures is a large tree, with glowing pink flowers The entire thing glows, actually. The bark has things etched into it. At the front of the tree is a large opening to what looks like a cave. These crstuff cheeksures worship something that lives in the cave, but nobody is allowed down there. It's basically one big cult on a planet.
