The Native Species

There is very little known about the species. They have been identified as the Luorig species - a human-like animal with more beastly tendencies. Most would compare them to apes. They have plenty of their own beliefs, believe in multiple gods, and are obviously very alien. Because a lot of Earth 2 is jungle, they have taken on the color of it. They are normally green, some a bit blue as well, and have very light, spotty markings to mimick the canopies of trees. They stand at roughly 6-10 feet tall depending on age and gender, and although they do possess five fingers and toes, they are quite wide, making their hands huge and making it easier for them to climb through the jungle. They reside in what they call sahupla, though humans simply call them packs or clans. This species is obviously very much in touch with their surroundings, so unlike humans, they basically do all of their living off the land. Their world is untouched, if touched at all, and everything within it had a meaning.

They do not speak English, therefore communication is limited.

soooo i'm thinking for elias;
-he views melody as a risk but can respect her loyalty and wanting to learn. he understands her loss as it was everyone's, but doesn't quite see eye-to-eye with her being lost when there's a bigger task at hand (which is getting home).

-he respects taelor considering he a) was in the military and b) is a pilot which is useful. the two seem to be quite similar, so he hasn't gotten to know him but is quite passive towards him. i can imagine them sometimes butting heads because of how much they're alike, causing some drama (perhaps even a.... relationship >.> gay military men B))

-i think when elias and charlie meet it would be interesting if they're both a bit tempered and blunt. apart from that it could be interesting? i'm not sure about what else since elias has yet to be used in action lol

and clarke
-she's very patient with melody and tries to help her, but only to an extent as she is the only one who can technologically help the team the most. she kind of takes on a sister role with her but from a distance i'd imagine

-again, she respect taelor but i can't imagine the two always getting along because of how extroverted clarke is. she'd probably annoy both him and elias at the same time pfft

-clarke would see charlie and feel some sort of comfort probably because he doesn't seem to be outright insane. she wouldn't immediately trust him, but i could see her trying to be some sort of peacemaker between all the men and on top of that helping melody when they all meet lmao

and also for my other character;
i was kind of thinking a more gentle woman but with spontaneous ideas? like she means no harm but accidentally causes it and just deals with the consequences later. i'd imagine her being a bit unhinged lol but a fun character. but she also knows that there are certain times for somethings, so she's not like,,, ,crazy insane or anything just a bit out there B)

- Elias probably wouldn't know about Melody's loyal side just because it usually only comes up when there's a life or death situation, but otherwise, I agree on everything eles ;)

- I know, right? They really are quite similar xD I only realized that after I had posted Taelor. But yeah, I think Taelor probably wouldn't know him but would respect him since he's focused on getting out of there. That is to say Taelor is also gonna really dislike Melody XD

- I can see that. Charlie will be a bit possessive of his new home because he doesn't want others to come and make rules XD He'll probably find Elias a bit annoying.

sorry for a delay >:( had some life stuff so i couldn't respond or post

everything there works for me. and as for the native species - they can sorta just be there. they know that the area they crashed in is full of them but i'm sure they would be quite timid at first but their first encounter would be hostile. the previous team could help them if we go that route ^^

so the native species probably won't be introduced until the starstruck team runs into them later on, which would most likely be a hostile encounter. the second team could help them, maybe helping them trust one another?
