Sky pulled away from the kiss when he felt Alex start to move. He watched as Alex straddled his lap. His head followed Alex's movements before looking him up and down. Hesitantly, he moved his hands to rest on both of Alex's thighs. Slowly, he moved them up to his waist. "Alex" Sky breathed quietly, his voice low. He tilted his head up to get a better look at Alex's face. After last night, he really didn't expect Alex to act like this. He liked what was happening, but it felt weird knowing how poorly Sky had acted the night before. How could Alex forgive him like that? It confused Sky, which was causing him to be hesitant.

Alex nearly groaned when Skylar pulled away after he'd moved onto his lap. He didn't want the kiss to end, and considering how deeply Skylar had been kissing him only moments before, he wasn't at all sure why he was stopping now. When he heard his name, Alex slowly opened his eyes and let his blue hues meet Skylar's green gaze. His hesitation and confusion became painfully clear then, and Alex frowned. Lifting his arms, he wrapped them around Skylar's neck and moved to run his fingers up into his hair. His confusion was understandable, and as much as Alex hated to admit it, so was his hesitation. Given his past behavior, and after what had taken place last night, skipping school and kissing Skylar like this was probably the last thing he should be doing. He should be trying to appease his parents by going to school, diving into his studies, and not showing any sign of disobedience. He should be staying away from Skylar both because it's what his parents would expect, and also because he should still be furious about last night. But he didn't want to stay stuck at a desk where his thoughts could torment him, or stay away from Skylar, the only person he could be himself around. Last night had left him feeling a great many things, but shame and disgust had been at the forefront of his mind. Those feelings weren't directed at anyone but himself and had kept him up all night. He hated how he'd cowered beneath his father's gaze, how he hadn't been able to say anything when his father had said all those horrible things to Skylar. He was ashamed of the fact that he had come home after taking Skylar home only to lie and place himself back in the confines of the expectations his parents had for him. He wanted to escape those feelings and the thoughts that accompanied them, and so here he was, throwing caution to the wind and desperately trying to focus on anything else. "What?" He asked, his own voice low and barely above a whisper as he looked down at Skylar.

Skylar's heart sped up again, and for a completely different reason. He was becoming nervous about what Alex was gonna say. He wanted to be relaxed, let the alcohol consume him, but perhaps he didn't drink enough. Would he be able to slyly make another drink? The fact that Skylar was even thinking about this made him feel guilty and a little upset. He wanted to be a good boyfriend, but found himself doing the exact opposite almost everyday. Shaking his head slightly at his own thoughts, he looked down momentarily. His eyes met Alex's after hearing his low voice. "What are you doing?" He questioned, his voice barely above a whisper.

Alex kept his gaze on Skylar as he waited for him to answer. His fingers continued to run through his hair. When the answer came, but in the form of a question, Alex paused. The movement of his fingers stilled as he looked at him. What was he doing? "I would have thought that was obvious." He responded as he continued to look down at Skylar. "I'm enjoying a hot make-out session with my boyfriend." He answered, his brows furrowing slightly. "Why? Do you not like it?" He questioned, biting the inside of his cheek slightly. He kept his eyes fixed on Skylar's own but found himself moving to drop his arms from around his neck and pull back a little. He didn't try to get off of Sky's lap for the time being, instead waiting for the answer before deciding whether he wanted to pull entirely away or not. Edited at August 7, 2025 03:57 AM by Outlander

Sky swallowed thickly when he felt Alex's movements still. Shit, maybe saying that was wrong, but continuing to kiss like nothing happened also felt wrong. Sky shook his head and let out a sigh before talking. "It's not that I don't like it..." He began, looking up at Alex. Feeling his arms leave his neck, Sky moved his hands down to Alex's thighs. "It just feels wrong after last night." Sky finished, his voice still low, but a little louder now. Sky rubbing his thumbs against Alex's thighs, hoping it would reassure him.

Alex felt a great deal of apprehension as he watched Skylar and once more waited for him to answer. His heart felt as though it were both beating wildly and frozen in his place, and his stomach felt tight with nerves. When Sky began to talk, starting to give his question an answer, Alex remained still as he listened to him. He swallowed thickly upon feeling as Sky's hands moved to his thighs and how he began rubbing his thumbs against his thighs in what, at any other time, would have been reassuring. Instead, it only seemed to put Alex more on edge. Or perhaps it was hearing him state that, after last night, kissing like this felt wrong. Why? Why did it have to feel wrong now? "Why?" He asked before he could stop himself. "Is it because of what my dad said...?" He questioned, his voice thick with tension. He wanted to pretend like last night had never happened, to escape the shadow of it by enjoying his time with Skylar... but if it had somehow made a mark on their relationship. If what had happened last night had made simply kissing him uncomfortable for Skylar... what was he supposed to do then?

Sky looked down at their body's together, avoiding eye contact after saying that. He found his heart hammering in his chest, scared of what Alex would say. He wasn't nearly as wasted as he wished he was. It was so tempting to get up and get a drink, so tempting that he almost found himself getting up after Alex's next question. "No, fuck what your dad said. It's how you're pretending like last night didn't happen." Skylar replied, finally looking back up. He found himself slowly pulling his hands away from Alex's body, despite wanting to cling onto the closeness. Reaching Alex's knees, his touch lingered for a while before he fully withdrew his touch. Alex felt as though he were going to be sick from all the tension that had settled in his stomach as he waited for Skylar to answer him. Honestly, he wasn't sure what he was going to do if the events of last night had marred his relationship with Skylar. Swallowing thickly, he fought the urge to look away and instead kept his gaze on Skylar. When he first spoke, Alex felt a rush of relief that nearly had him exhaling a relieved sigh. So it wasn't because of his father? But the relief that he felt was short-lived, and just as swiftly as it had come, it vanished upon hearing his next sentence. Kissing him felt wrong because he was pretending like last night hadn't happened? For a moment, he was silent and still in stunned surprise at that, but he was pulled from it when he felt Skylar pull away from him entirely. He watched him for a long moment before he furrowed his brow slightly and gave him a slight look of confusion mixed with disbelief. Moving to get off of Skylar's lap, he took a step back from him and the bed. "Why can't I pretend like last night didn't happen?" He asked as he looked at him. "Would you prefer that I get angry, or cry, or complain about how fucked up last night was?" He asked, his voice low. Edited at August 7, 2025 04:53 AM by Outlander
