Name: Cyra'analeth
Age: 250
Gender: Female
Species: Fire Dragon
Rank: Student (ew)
Rider: Open

Cyra is a decently sized creature, reaching 15' at shoulder and 30' long from tip to tail. She has a lean, sinewy body that resembles the shape of a greyhound's; long front limbs also function as her wings, though she is capable of using them to run, grab, and reach. She has a full hand at the end of each with razor sharp claws. Her hind legs are stereotypical ones with powerful haunches and raptor-like feet. She has one raised toe and claw on each of them. Her whiplike tail has a thick, downy tuft of fur along the end, like a lion's, that can catch fire but will not burn or singe.

Her scales are tight and smooth, almost snakelike but with more definition. Her base color is a golden one, and she has a red-orange shimmer akin to watching dancing flames. Along Cyra's dorsal line, her scales are more red, and her underside is lighter. A pair of thick, white, slightly curved horns shoot out of her skull in a streamlined fashion. Small, sharp, bony protrusions decorate the middle ridge of her face and, once they hit her neck, transition into a sort of exoskeleton of mirrored vertebrae. Hooked, riblike braces curve down from them, providing some extra protection to her neck and raising the fear factor.

Her head is long and refined with a slight point at the tip of her upper lip beneath her nostrils. Her upper canines protrude slightly, and her mouth is turned into a faint, wicked smile. Cyra'analeth's eyes lack pupils. Rather, they are a glowing white void. Staring into them is peering into the soul of the burning furnace that will incinerate you. Because of their nature, it's basically impossible for anyone to gauge her emotions by looking at her eyes, and her tone of voice or body language must be used as a guide instead.

Her voice is low and sultry, with a snakelike hiss underlying it. Her words are almost crooning, unsettling and promising poison instead of sweetness. Her movements are strong and predatory as well; she is not a dragon to be messed with. The discomfort she brings strangers in close proximity is enhanced by the heat and glow she normally radiates.

Personality

Fiery || Aloof || Stubborn || Bloodthirsty || Blunt || Plotter || Surprisingly Maternal || Vengeful || Observant || Composed || Bends Rules || Territorial || Loyal || Protective || A Bit Sadistic

Her hot temper matches the stereotypical fire-type dragon classes. She is feisty and a bit snappish, purring out death threats that nobody knows whether or not to take seriously. Her sense of humor is fairly morbid, though more innocent topics may still amuse her. She is not a social creature; being around others is draining, and it doesn't take much to get on her nerves. While Cyra'analeth could wait centuries to win a battle or lie in wait for an enemy, this uncanny patience does not extend to other dragons or people. She is not tactful in her words and does not spare anyone's feelings; her philosophy is to say it like it is and not waste time.

She is also extremely stubborn and difficult to persuade. This female remains fairly neutral in many things, but when she is set in one direction, that is the direction and it will not be deviated from. She leaves room open for input in her strategies, though, as she would rather be correct the first time than allow her pride to be the downfall of her comrades. She has a scheme for everything; Cyra is always plotting about even the littlest things. Her attention to detail and astute observations make her excellent at being able to take everything into consideration, and she's quite good at reading the room.

She does not easily lose her head. Even when she is furious, this dragon remains composed, though she makes her feelings very clear. There are no rage-storms or tantrums. She likes to watch her enemies suffer, and she can't exactly do that if she blows them off the face of the earth too soon. This dragon is bloodthirsty and somewhat of a warmonger, and she certainly has some sadistic tendencies. Cyra is one to go all out with her vengeance and retaliation as well, ensuring that whoever crossed her, or someone she is acting on behalf of, will be unable to do so ever again.

Cyra is territorial with any mate, rider, and others she has "adopted" as her family. She can be overprotective and is loyal to a fault to those whom she deems worthy. While most creatures won't even get her attention, those who gain her love and trust will get her world. She will move heaven and earth for them, and no stupid rule is going to stand in her way. Her morals may be a bit gray, but family is her priority and will always remain such.

Abilities

Flare: She can pull the light and heat from warm objects (mainly the sun or an already-existing flame) towards her and let it build, releasing it in a flaming shock wave. The longer she holds it, the greater the blast radius. These flares must be used with caution, as she gives up her own body heat to use the ability and does not do when hypothermic.

Fire Beam: Rather than breathing out a campfire, she emits a concentrated ray of it. Her targets are then the equivalent of ants under a magnifying glass. While powerful, its concentration does not allow for a large range to be affected; her shots are very precise.

Refraction: She can bend heatwaves around flaming or smoldering objects near her to create a mirror or mirage, effectively hiding whatever she's manipulated. She has to do it to individual objects, but once completed, it takes very little power to keep up as long as the sun is out and the fire is burning. Once it gets dark, and the colder it gets, it becomes unsustainable.

Glow: As long as she isn't too cold, she emanates a warm, subtle light that can be dimmed or brightened, allowing her to function as a giant nightlight and heating pad.

Strengths

Hot and sunny environments boost abilities and energy
Stamina and agility
Working in a team
Long range accuracy with the fire beams
Fighting dirty

Weaknesses

Cold or dark environments cause her to rely on her own body heat to power abilities
Impatient with others
Holds grudges forever
Speed and brute strength
No sense of smell

Name: Savo'alath (Savo)
Age: 217
Gender: Female
Role: New Dragon
Class: Storm
Rider: Open

Appearance

IMG-0848.jpg

Credits to me

16 feet to the shoulder -- Strong but lithe build -- Has short, fine fur rather than scales -- "Mane" extends from bridge of nose down midline all the way to tail tip, extends along wing ridges as well -- Longer pale fur matching mane grows along jawline down the middle of her neck about halfway -- Lion-like tail tuft -- Horns curve in towards each other slightly -- Ice blue eyes -- Deep blue base with silvery dappling -- black talons match horns

Personality

Savo is a charismatic, strong creature. She radiates a quiet sort of confidence - not arrogance, but she isn't the most humble of dragons; she will not downplay the abilities she knows she has. She is neither outgoing nor a recluse, but her dominant presence has a way of attracting others to her. Savo isn't unfriendly, but she is to the point and can fairly be described as blunt, even "brutally honest" at times. Her sharp tongue is more often engaged in witty banter than harsh words, though. She is not one to give out compliments; when one is expressed, you can rest assured that she has been thoroughly impressed.

Savo grows bored quickly; her strict adherence to rules placed upon her will slip on occasions in which a little mischief will benefit her mood. She is devious and meticulous with all her designs, from a simple prank to a battlefield. This young dragon also has a knack for public speaking, but she would prefer to stay away from the large crowds. She can twist her words to evoke all kinds of emotions, elicit any response in those around her - and, frankly, it unnerves her.

She is extremely protective over what is hers: her home, her rider, her mate, her family. She is generally a more motherly, even fairly patient creature, but to get on her bad side is to set a heat seeking missile on oneself. Any attack on her kin or friends is a direct attack on her, and she does not take kindly to offenders. Savo will defend those she loves with a ferocity that would unnerve even the most vicious of dragons, and she would litter the field with the remains of her enemies.

Or, at least, that was the way she used to be.

Now, she walks through a burning house of what used to be her. Savo is cold, composed, collected, and threatening. Her eyes, which once held an intelligent, inquisitive light, are hardened and glazed over as of late. Where she was plenty dangerous when crossed before, now she has become a ticking time bomb, unpredictable and short-tempered. Her mind is a tumultuous place, harboring universal feelings of paranoia and mistrust. She is malicious, callous, and manipulative.

Her mind is breaking, but she hides it extremely well. To others' eyes, she is simply a bitter, grieving dragon mourning the horrifying loss of her previous bond. Her composure remains intact, and she has maintained enough of her former charisma to continue to charm those around her. Savo's decisions are as they ever were, unless one examines them with painful scrutiny. Her plans remain carefully woven, like a black widow's web, ready to ensnare her quarry and watch the life leave their eyes. Savo is spiraling down the path to becoming the monster that the others expect her to be.

Abilities

Strength boost -- during stormy weather, she becomes stronger and tires much more slowly than under normal conditions. This lasts as long as the storm does, after which point she returns to her normal capabilities

Hardiness -- electricity and frigid temperatures do not affect her much, like how a clownfish withstands an anemone sting. Even when struck head on by a bolt of lightning, she registers it as a nuisance rather than a life-threatening event

Electricity generation -- she can draw charges to herself and create a sort of electrical force field strong enough to ward off most dragons. The intensity varies depending on how much energy she pulls in, but the most powerful can stun a dragon three times her size and absolutely fry a human. The stronger the field, the shorter she can hold it, though, and high charges are more of a blast than anything

Camouflage -- within stormclouds, she can almost entirely disappear into an aerial sea mirage and become "invisible" to the untrained eye, even when moving

Strengths

Manipulation -- she is very, very good with words. While they have no magical effects behind them, she's good at finding and pushing the right buttons to get what she wants

Agility and aerial combat -- her movements are speedy and fluid, allowing her to dance circles around her opponents. The sky is her domain, especially during inclement weather, and she fights exceptionally well in it

Separating emotions from judgment -- when she acts, she has the full capability of doing it from a place unhindered by personal vendettas, driven instead by facts and rationality. Of course, her rationale may still be emotionally centered, but that would also be by choice

Weaknesses

Skin -- she has a tough hide that can resist some damage, but she has no scales to speak of, meaning she is at a severe disadvantage in the natural armor department. She is also more prone to fire damage

Dry heat -- sunny days are the bane of her existence. They make it incredibly difficult to use any of her abilities, since she relies on humidity for clouds and inclement weather. The heat just gets to her, too, and she becomes a very pissy dragon

Size -- without the enhanced strength during storms, Savo is an average sized dragon with average strength, and sexual dimorphism is not on her side during a skirmish with a male. With many females being larger than she is as well, Savo cannot rely on brute force to get by

Trust issues -- her newfound insecurities make it difficult for anyone to get close to her, or for her to get close to anyone else. She has precious few allies and will not risk betrayal or manipulation of herself by letting new acquaintances in; instead, she has been pushing away even her friends, meaning she is basically on her own and a pain in the butt to work with

I keep saying I'll flesh out her appearance and here we are, like, two years later...

I have her as having lost a rider not too long before the current bond. I know it's a bit unorthodox, so I can change it again if need be ^^

Name: Koa Revin
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Role: Outpost Rider
Dragon: Open

Appearance

Untitled-Artwork.jpg

Credits to me

Koa would be quite a handsome young man, by most people's standards, with the exception of severe scarring along the right side of his face and torso. He boasts a well-muscled, athletic physique -- not too lean, but not too stocky, either. This young man takes physical fitness fairly seriously, especially after having his powers snubbed for so long. In case his abilities are ever lost again, he has worked to keep himself in prime condition to get the best chance at survival as a normal human. Standing at a solid 6'2, he may not be the absolute tallest out there, but his height combined with his defined musculature gives him the appearance of a taller individual; his more forward personality also helps with that display.

His tan complexion matches his dark russet hair, which is styled short and messy. Koa has a strong jaw and an overall chiseled face with round, deep green eyes, a once-straight nose that got broken one too many times to heal right, and lips that are frequently curled into a mild, mischievous smirk. He almost always looks as though one corner of his mouth is turned up due to the scar tissue that has tugged the skin tight from his lip up to his hairline. His right ear has been savaged, and nearly half of it is missing. Old slashes and gashes criss cross over his cheek, neck, shoulder, down his back and torso, arm, hand, and a little ways past his hip; however, it is rare for anything beyond his facial and hand scars to be visible.

Being somewhat self-conscious of his mangled features, Koa often opts to wear high collared, long sleeve shirts. Breeches are obviously a given. Other than covering up the majority of his body, he isn't one to care much about physical appearance and maintenance. He's one of the "I use the same soap for my hair, face, and hands" kind of guys, but, being blessed with porcelain skin and a thick head of soft hair (don't touch his hair), he's never needed much else for a fancier routine.

His voice is a low tenor or a high bass, depending on the situation. When he wants to sound intimidating, he absolutely can, but the slightly higher pitch is his default. Koa is actually a decent singer, though he is most often singing more crass and humorous lyrics than serious or "pretty" ones. He has no problem grabbing a room's attention with a particularly booming call. Yelling out of anger, however, is not really in his nature.

Personality

Untitled-Artwork.jpg

Image made by me

When most people think of Koa, they think of a flirt -- and they wouldn't be wrong. While he doesn't have much of a romantic attachment to anyone, he will send compliments and friendly flirtations in everyone's direction. His charm and charisma have gotten him out of sticky situations before, and he's got his Casanova-ness down to an absolute science. His easy way with words allows him to deliver anything smoothly; he could walk up to someone and tell them that they look like a blackout drunk rhinoceros that shat itself and make it sound like a good thing. However, he generally uses his people skills for good, and does not compare individuals to incontinent mammals.

Koa is witty and wily, and his sense of humor ranges from dark to immature. He is one to crack jokes at very inappropriate times, such as when he is in mortal peril or someone is making him uncomfortable. It's a coping mechanism, if you will. He is also quite confident, so much so that it is borderline arrogant, but he does not intent to inflate his ego or put himself on a pedestal higher than what he can actually reach. He just knows what he can do and will execute it well.

True to his element, Koa is a fiery creature. He can be brash at times, and when his extensive patience finally runs out, the discussions certainly heat up fast. He is a bit showy and his last words will absolutely be, "Hey, y'all, watch this!" His ferocity extends to every facet of his personality: fiercely friendly, fiercely loyal, fierce in battle,... Everything he does is intense, whether or not he means to be.

While he is generally easygoing, if not a little overzealous, he does have a sinister side to him. When wronged, or when those he loves are wronged, Koa is a vengeful, vindictive force to be reckoned with. He does not give second chances, and, if the crime is steep enough, an offender may not live to even ask for one. Charisma is replaced by fury and charm by callousness. Fortunately, this is not a common occurrence.

Skills

Marksman -- When he lost the ability to wield a sword or fist most efficiently, Koa put all his time and effort into learning a new skill: hitting targets dead-on from an incredible distance with bows, javelins, and other projectiles.

Ambidextrous -- Formerly right-handed, he had to relearn how to fight, write, and flip people off with his left hand, so now he is proficient in both, though he relies mostly on his left.

Survival -- If you threw him out into the wilderness with nothing to his name, he could start a life from scratch quite easily. He's an excellent hunter, is pretty good at making tools, and has a decent enough knowledge of plants and herbs to not accidentally poison himself.

Strengths

Strength, stamina, and agility
Archery and marksmanship -- the dude could be Apollo
Peacemaker, easing tense situations (unless he created them in the first place)
Charismatic
Singing, storytelling, dad jokes

Weaknesses

Hearing in his right ear is not great -- tinnitus
Self-conscious of his whole right side
Muscles in right arm and that side of his torso are taut and can't move as easily as his others, making hand to hand combat more difficult
Can be abraisive
When his mood swings, it swings really frickin hard

Name: Ivan Lécuyer
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Role: Mentor
Dragon: Nyxara

Appearance

Untitled-Artwork.jpg

Image credits to me. I unintentionally took the entirety of Team Avatar and smushed them into one man.

Standing at 6'5, he is among the tallest of his kind, and his physique is a hardy, muscular one. While he is still considered lean, his frame is one made for strength and endurance rather than speed and nimbleness. He is quite agile, but he lacks flexibility and is much better at quick movements with a weapon than he is doing parkour. Ivan is all muscle and sinew, and his chiseled features accentuate as much, giving him a carved-from-stone appearance. This man has an assortment of scars, but his most notable -- by far -- is the massive chunk missing from the middle of his left ear. It is now held together by a piercing that acts as a brace, and he never takes it out; when/if he does, the further end flops over, and he thinks it looks ridiculous. He has half a mind to just cut the rest off, sometimes.

His round, stormy gray eyes hold a hint of green, contrasting slightly with the regular whites and the blood vessels therein. They are places beneath straight, furrowed brows and rimmed with creases. His skin is a warm, golden-bronze whose shadows and highlights change dramatically depending on the lighting. It is interrupted by the pinker, slightly paler colors of old scars. His hair is a deep, deep red-brown -- almost black -- and turns to a slightly lighter maroon or blood color in the sunlight. Ivan keeps the sides and back of his head closely shaved or otherwise short, and the top hair is pulled back into a short ponytail. It would only reach his jaw if let down, but he prefers to keep it up. Two longer, braided strands hang down from either temple.

He has a strong, confident voice that is fairly low and and a silky bass. He walks with purposeful, firm strides, and generally appears sure of himself. Some may see it as arrogance, but he does not intend it to be so. His presence is cold and foreboding despite his warmer coloration, giving him an air of unpredictability. When he fidgets, Ivan will twist one braid between his pointer finger and thumb, or he'll work his jaw (the stronger jawline may very well have originated from this habit).

Personality

Charismatic || Leader || Ambitious || Strategic || Smart || Stoic || Decisive || Loyal || Observant || Stubborn

He has a convincing way with words, able to use them in a way that makes him an excellent public speaker. Ivan knows how -- and when -- to stir an audience and push them in any direction with his eloquence, and he uses this to further his own devices at times. He is quite charismatic and charming. However, it never quite seems to reach his eyes; he has never been one for making close friends, and while he is friendly with most in the clan, there is no one that he will confide in. Not even his own family.

Ivan keeps his personal worries and insecurities to himself, outwardly displaying a poised, calm front. And, generally, it is not a false face. He is an honest man, though he is not above telling white lies here and there. He is good at maintaining the peace, whether that be through physical or verbal means. He is a leader, as he has been brought up to be, and strives for perfection. Too much is on the line for him to fall short in any way. Ivan is ambitious and strategic, concerned with keeping the students thriving and at the top of the food chain. They may have lost the powers of the school, but that does not mean they are weak or ripe for destruction.

He is a stubborn creature, and his stoicism is borderline self-destructive at times. He has a habit of ignoring his injuries of any kind and will overexert himself at times, but he refuses help until he can't hide his situation. Ivan is also very observant of others, making him a bit of a hypocrite when insisting others rest or otherwise take care of themselves at the same point that he would not. Despite being a cold, mule-headed grump, Ivan is an altruistic and loyal individual. Even if he doesn't particularly like someone in the clan, he will fight for them. His competitive and ambitious nature often gets in the way of friendships and familial relations, but he still cares for them even if he sucks at showing it.

He is also not afraid of doing what must be done. Hunting, battle, or otherwise (justly) ending a life has never upset him, nor is it ever likely to. He respects life, but death is a path that is central to mortality, and he doesn't mind that fact. This man sticks to his morals, though, and scorns murder or subterfuge. He's a good lie detector, too, and tries to prove himself trustworthy to others, as his own lies -- however small they may be -- irritate him the most.

Strengths

Physical strength and fitness
Charisma and speaking
Hand-to-hand combat, dual sword work
Strategy

Weaknesses

Speed and agility
Ear causes hearing issues when windy, can't hear things as far away
Sucks at building personal relationships
Competitiveness

"Myrkhavon is not of the sea; he is the abyss made flesh, and despair made manifest.”

Appearance:
Myrkhavon’s head is streamlined and predatory, designed for efficiency in both water and air. When viewed in profile, it tapers dramatically from a robust, wide cranial base to a pointed snout. This elongation gives it an aerodynamic and hydrodynamic edge, allowing for swift movement and powerful strikes in aquatic hunts. The head measures roughly 7 feet (2.1 meters) in length, from the base of the skull to the tip of the snout, ensuring a formidable presence. The head spans 3.5 feet (1.1 meters) at its widest point near the cranial base, providing a solid structure to house powerful jaw muscles and sensory systems. It narrows down to a sharp, eel-like point, enhancing his ability to cut through water with minimal drag. The head fuses features from marine predators like barracuda, with their elongated snouts, and Payara fish, with their fearsome fangs. Draconic elements such as pronounced ridges and a noble jawline add an otherworldly quality, making him a true apex predator of the sea. The cranial crest rises seamlessly from the back of the skull, extending backward in a smooth, graceful arc. The crest reaches a height of 2.5 feet (0.76 meters) at its tallest point and extends backward by about 3 feet (0.9 meters). Its webbed, semi-translucent design is akin to the spines of a lionfish, with bioluminescent veins running through the membranes. The crest is firmly anchored to the skull by ridges and spines, ensuring stability during high-speed movement. The base of the crest is covered with ganoid scales that blend into the translucent membranes, which pulse with bioluminescent hues of deep blue and green. These colors provide camouflage in dim underwater environments, blending with the flickering light patterns of the sea.

Myrkhavon's horns branch elegantly from the sides of the cranial crest, curving slightly backward in a manner reminiscent of coral formations found in deep-sea environments. Each horn measures approximately 4 feet (1.2 meters) in length, tapering from a thick base to slender, intricately detailed tips. The horns exhibit a fractal-like structure, with smaller, coral-like protrusions branching out along their length. These protrusions mimic the natural growth patterns of ocean coral, adding a unique texture and enhancing their aquatic aesthetic. The base of the horns displays deep blue and green hues, seamlessly blending with the ganoid scales of the head. As the horns extend outward, their coloration shifts subtly, with the tips glowing with a soft bioluminescent light. This glow emits a faint yet captivating brilliance, primarily in shades of blue-green, adding a haunting beauty to Myrkhavon’s appearance. The horns are composed of a tough, keratin-like material with an internal structure that is both rigid and flexible, enabling them to withstand the immense pressures of deep-sea environments. Despite their intricate appearance, they are robust and capable of resisting damage during underwater encounters or territorial disputes. The surface of the horns is textured with fine ridges and grooves, resembling the rough yet intricate surface of real coral. These features add to the hydrodynamic efficiency, minimizing drag as Myrkhavon moves at high speeds.

Myrkhavon’s snout is long and sleek, extending approximately 2.5 feet (0.76 meters) from the base of the skull to its pointed tip. The overall shape is narrow and tapered, bearing strong similarities to the snouts of barracuda or garfish, with an added touch of draconic sharpness. The snout is slightly flattened on the top, with subtle lateral ridges running from the base to just above the nostrils, creating a streamlined profile perfect for cutting through water at high speeds. The snout is covered with tough, ganoid scales that shimmer in deep blue and green hues, blending seamlessly with the dragon’s overall camouflage. Bioluminescent spots adorn the sides of the snout in irregular patterns, emitting a faint glow that can mimic the flickering light of the ocean depths to confuse or lure prey. The jawline is robust and finely articulated, designed for both speed and crushing power. It has a slightly arched upper jaw, lending an imposing aesthetic while also accommodating rows of razor-sharp teeth. Myrkhavon’s lower jaw is slightly broader at the base, tapering into a streamlined curve to match the upper jaw, enhancing its aerodynamic efficiency. The underside of the jaw is smoother, transitioning into cosmoid scales with a soft, iridescent sheen in bright aquamarine and pale silver tones. This coloring enhances Myrkhavon’s camouflage from predators or prey below, blending with the ocean surface light.

Myrkhavon’s jaws are lined with rows of razor-sharp, recurved teeth designed to grip, pierce, and tear through prey. Each tooth measures approximately 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) in length, with the larger teeth concentrated toward the front of the jaws. The upper jaw features two elongated fangs, each 8 inches (20 cm) long, similar to those of a Payara fish. These fangs protrude prominently, curving slightly backward for maximum efficiency in holding prey. Smaller, serrated teeth fill the gaps between the larger fangs, ensuring no escape for slippery or armored prey. The teeth are adapted to Myrkhavon’s aquatic hunting style. Their recurved shape prevents prey from wriggling free, while their serrated edges enhance cutting power. The enamel is reinforced with a keratin-like material, making the teeth resistant to damage from tough shells or scales. Despite their durability, the dragon regularly sheds and regenerates worn or broken teeth, maintaining peak functionality. The teeth are pale ivory, with a slight translucence near the tips, giving them a menacing sheen when viewed in low light. The surface is smooth yet textured with micro-grooves that help channel water away during high-speed bites, reducing drag and increasing precision. Myrkhavon’s tongue is long, flexible, and forked at the tip, resembling the tongues of certain reptiles. It measures roughly 2 feet (0.6 meters) in length, allowing it to maneuver with exceptional precision within the jaws. The forked design aids in sensory detection, acting almost like an additional tool for probing prey or assessing its surroundings. The tongue is coated with a smooth, slightly rough surface that helps grip and manipulate prey within the mouth. It has a faint phosphorescent glow, radiating shades of aquamarine and pale green, which may serve to hypnotize prey or confuse rivals during territorial displays.

Myrkhavon’s nasal ridges are pronounced and run symmetrically along the top of the snout, starting near the cranial base and tapering toward the nostrils. These ridges are slightly elevated, forming gentle arcs that blend seamlessly with the streamlined profile of its head. The ridges span roughly 2 feet (0.6 meters) in length, extending about halfway down the snout. The nasal ridges are textured with fine, interlocking ganoid scales that enhance durability while maintaining a sleek appearance. These ridges play a role in hydrodynamics by channeling water smoothly along the dragon’s snout, reducing drag and allowing for greater efficiency in high-speed pursuits. The ridges also protect the underlying nasal cavities from external pressure during deep dives. Positioned at the base of the nasal ridges are slitted nostrils, which can completely close when Myrkhavon descends to deeper, high-pressure environments. These nostrils are sensitive to chemical changes in the water, aiding in tracking prey by detecting scent trails or disturbances. Myrkhavon’s eyes are large and almond-shaped, perfectly adapted for low-light vision in the ocean depths. Each eye measures approximately 1.5 feet (0.45 meters) across, emphasizing its predatory prowess and dominance. The slightly slanted positioning of the eyes provides a wider field of vision, aiding in situational awareness and hunting efficiency. The irises are deep shades of aquamarine with hints of emerald green, blending harmoniously with the dragon’s overall coloration. Encircling the irises are faint, bioluminescent rings that emit a subtle glow in darkness, enhancing its ability to lure or disorient prey. The bioluminescent glow intensifies during territorial displays or combat, adding an intimidating aura to its presence. Myrkhavon’s eyes are specially adapted to its aquatic environment. They feature a reflective layer beneath the retina, similar to the tapetum lucidum found in certain deep-sea creatures, enabling exceptional night vision. The pupils are vertically slit, allowing for rapid adjustments to varying light levels, whether in the sunlight near the surface or in the pitch-black depths of the ocean.

Myrkhavon’s ears are fin-like structures positioned just behind its eyes, subtly blending into its sleek head profile. These webbed ears are semi-transparent and span 1.5 feet (0.45 meters) in length, with a width of about 8 inches (20 cm) at their widest point. They taper gracefully toward the edges, adding to the dragon’s streamlined aesthetic. The ears are supported by delicate spines that radiate outward, similar to the structure of a lionfish fin. Thin, flexible membranes stretch between these spines, creating webbing that enhances their hydrodynamic function. The webbing is translucent, with faint bioluminescent veins that emit a soft glow in shades of aquamarine and green, blending seamlessly with the dragon’s underwater environment. Myrkhavon’s gills are located along the sides of its neck, just behind the base of the skull. Each gill slit measures approximately 10 inches (25 cm) in length and is protected by overlapping flaps of ganoid scales to prevent debris from entering during movement. There are five pairs of gill slits, positioned symmetrically to optimize oxygen intake. The inner lining of the gills is bright aquamarine and pale silver, mirroring the dragon’s underside coloration. Bioluminescent patterns trace the edges of the gill flaps, emitting a faint glow that adds to Myrkhavon’s ethereal underwater presence. These glowing patterns intensify during hunting or combat, possibly serving as a lure for prey or a warning to rivals.

The sac beneath Myrkhavon’s throat is a specialized anatomical feature designed to store significant quantities of water. This sac is spherical yet slightly compressed to maintain a streamlined profile and avoid hindering movement. When fully expanded, the sac measures roughly 4 feet (1.2 meters) in diameter, allowing Myrkhavon to carry large amounts of water for various purposes, such as aquatic combat, creating powerful jets, or manipulating his environment. Externally, the throat sac is partially covered by cosmoid scales, matching the bright aquamarine and pale silver tones of his underbelly. These scales are slightly flexible, enabling the sac to expand and contract as needed while providing a protective outer layer. Bioluminescent veins trace intricate patterns across the surface, glowing faintly when the sac is active. The internal lining of the sac consists of reinforced, elastic tissue capable of withstanding high pressure and sudden bursts of force when water is expelled. This tissue is composed of a keratin-like material interwoven with flexible fibers, ensuring durability without compromising elasticity. It is further fortified with layers of a smooth, mucus-like coating that reduces friction and prevents wear from repeated expansion and contraction. The interior of Myrkhavon’s mouth is specifically adapted to handle the pressures of water manipulation. The walls of his oral cavity are lined with layers of reinforced cartilage and durable membranes, creating a sturdy yet flexible structure. These tissues prevent damage from the water pressure during storage or expulsion. The tongue is highly flexible and muscular, enabling precise control of the stored water during suction or release. The palate is ribbed with keratin-like ridges, which help channel water into the throat sac efficiently without spilling or losing pressure. Myrkhavon’s mouth features specialized valves along the inner lining, which open and close to regulate water flow and prevent sudden surges from damaging the reinforced tissues. These valves work in tandem with the throat muscles, ensuring smooth transitions between water intake, storage, and expulsion. The interior surfaces are coated with a mucosal layer, providing a smooth yet resistant texture that protects against abrasion and reduces friction during water manipulation. This coating also helps prevent bacterial buildup, keeping the interior mouth and sac clean and functional.

Myrkhavon’s neck is long and flexible, measuring approximately 8 feet (2.4 meters) in length, proportionate to his 27-foot-tall frame. The neck tapers slightly as it extends from the powerful base near the shoulders to the narrower connection at the skull. This length provides a balance between reach and agility, ensuring that his head can maneuver swiftly and strike with precision. The neck is cylindrical but subtly flattened along the sides, creating a streamlined profile optimized for reducing drag as she moves through water. It features gentle curves that give it an eel-like appearance, enhancing its ability to twist and turn fluidly in pursuit of prey or during combat. The upper side of the neck is covered in ganoid scales, providing a tough yet flexible armor that shimmers in deep blue and green hues, blending seamlessly with the ocean’s shadows from above. The underside transitions into smoother cosmoid scales, with iridescent tones of aquamarine and pale silver that mimic light reflected on the water’s surface, camouflaging him from predators or prey below. Irregularly shaped, bioluminescent spots are scattered along the sides of the neck, glowing faintly in deep blue and green. These patterns can pulse or intensify in brightness during displays of dominance, mating rituals, or as a means to distract and confuse prey. Flanking the sides of the neck are webbed fins with spines reminiscent of lionfish or pinfish. These fins measure about 2.5 feet (0.76 meters) in height and can flare outward when needed, either to stabilize his movement in water or to make him appear larger and more intimidating. The spines are slightly barbed and can be used as a defensive mechanism against larger predators.

Myrkhavon’s body is sleek and elongated, blending serpentine grace with the robust strength of a dragon. It spans approximately 50 feet (15.2 meters) in length from the base of the neck to the tip of the tail, with a sinuous form designed for streamlined movement through water. The body is cylindrical but slightly flattened along the ventral side, optimizing hydrodynamic efficiency and agility in its aquatic environment. The width of the body varies along its length, with the widest point at the chest measuring around 8 feet (2.4 meters) across. The torso tapers gradually toward the tail, giving it an elegant, flowing silhouette that aids in swift underwater maneuvers. The dorsal side of Myrkhavon’s body is covered in interlocking ganoid scales, which are tough, diamond-shaped, and provide both protection and camouflage. The coloration is a deep blue-green gradient, blending seamlessly with the dark shadows and depths of the ocean. The underside is adorned with smoother cosmoid scales, transitioning into a pale aquamarine and bright silver pattern that mimics the shimmering light patterns seen near the ocean surface. These scales contribute to counter-shading, a camouflage technique that makes Myrkhavon nearly invisible from above and below. Bioluminescent spots of varying sizes and shapes are scattered along the sides of the body in irregular patterns. These glowing markings pulse faintly with a blue-green hue and can intensify during hunting, communication, or territorial displays, adding an eerie, ethereal presence to its form.

Extending along the sides of the body are pairs of webbed, fin-like structures that resemble the spines of a pinfish or lionfish. These fins measure about 6 feet (1.8 meters) in length and feature sharp, barbed spines for defense. They aid in stabilizing Myrkhavon during swimming and assist in tight turns or sudden bursts of speed. A single, majestic dorsal fin runs along the spine, starting just behind the shoulders and extending midway down the length of the body. This fin measures approximately 8 feet (2.4 meters) in height and is semi-translucent, with intricate webbing that glows faintly in the dark. It plays a crucial role in hydrodynamic balance and displays during courtship or intimidation.

Myrkhavon’s legs are relatively short and muscular compared to its elongated, serpentine body, emphasizing streamlined movement in water while maintaining functionality on land or in the air. Each leg measures around 6 feet (1.8 meters) in length when fully extended, with a sturdy, compact build designed for propulsion and stability. The legs are positioned slightly farther back along the torso, closer to the dragon's center of gravity. This placement enhances its swimming efficiency by reducing drag and allowing powerful kicks in water, resembling the positioning of a sea turtle's limbs. The legs are slightly curved, with joints that bend smoothly for both paddling through water and walking on land. They retain a draconic aesthetic, with sharp, defined contours and ridges that hint at their latent power. The upper portions of the legs are covered in sturdy ganoid scales, which are deep blue and green to blend with the dorsal side of the body. These scales offer excellent protection against potential threats during underwater encounters. The lower legs transition into cosmoid scales, smoother and more flexible, with pale aquamarine and silver tones matching the dragon’s ventral side. The scales on the lower legs and feet are slightly smaller, enhancing flexibility and reducing weight in the water. Bioluminescent spots adorn the legs, concentrated around the joints and edges of the webbed toes. These glowing spots can pulse faintly when Myrkhavon is in motion, serving as a means of camouflage by mimicking the natural light flickers of the ocean.

Myrkhavon’s feet are wide and fully webbed, resembling those of aquatic reptiles or amphibians. The webbing stretches between three primary toes on each foot, allowing for powerful paddling strokes that generate forward momentum and agility in water. Each toe is tipped with a sharp, slightly curved claw, measuring about 8 inches (20 cm) in length. These claws are translucent with a faint silvery sheen and are used for gripping slippery surfaces, anchoring on coral or rocky outcrops, and as a defensive weapon in close combat. The webbed toes can spread wide to increase surface area during swimming or curl inward when walking on land. This adaptability ensures that Myrkhavon remains equally efficient in aquatic and terrestrial environments.

Myrkhavon’s wings are broad and webbed, resembling the fins of marine creatures while retaining a distinct draconic elegance. Each wing measures approximately 25 feet (7.6 meters) in length when fully extended, providing enough surface area for powerful strokes in water and stable gliding in air. The wings are slightly curved, tapering from the wide base near the shoulders to the narrower, pointed tips. The wings are composed of semi-transparent membranes that stretch between sturdy, jointed spines. The webbing resembles the texture of a manta ray’s fins, smooth yet reinforced with fine striations for strength and flexibility. These striations channel water and air efficiently, optimizing propulsion during swimming and providing lift during flight. The spines that support the wings are strong yet lightweight, resembling the intricate structures of lionfish fins. They are flexible enough to fold tightly against the dragon’s body when not in use, reducing drag and maintaining its streamlined profile in water. The outermost spines are tipped with sharp barbs, offering a defensive mechanism if threatened. The upper surfaces of the wings are deep blue with hints of green, blending seamlessly with the dragon’s camouflage when viewed from above. The undersides transition into pale aquamarine and silver hues, mirroring the dragon’s ventral side and mimicking ocean light patterns. Intricate, glowing veins run through the membranes, creating a mesmerizing display of blue-green bioluminescence. These patterns can pulse rhythmically during swimming or flying, enhancing Myrkhavon’s ethereal presence and serving as a means of communication or intimidation.

Myrkhavon’s tail is long, muscular, and tapered, making up nearly half of his total body length. It stretches an impressive 25 feet (7.6 meters) from the base of the torso to the tip of the tail fin, providing both propulsion and balance in the water. The tail is cylindrical at the base and gradually flattens toward the tail fin, optimizing it for hydrodynamic performance. The tail has a serpentine quality, with subtle undulating curves that contribute to Myrkhavon’s graceful movements. Its shape allows for sweeping, side-to-side motions that generate speed and power, essential for both high-speed chases and agile navigation in tight underwater spaces. The tail fin is crescent-shaped and measures approximately 12 feet (3.6 meters) across at its widest point. Its shape is reminiscent of the tail fins of marine predators such as sharks or barracuda, perfectly adapted for generating powerful thrusts in water. The tail fin consists of sturdy, flexible spines radiating outward from the flattened end of the tail, interconnected by webbing similar to that of the wings. This webbing is semi-transparent and reinforced with fine striations that provide strength and durability. The spines themselves are sharp and barbed, with tips extending slightly beyond the edge of the webbing, giving the tail a defensive edge. The upper surface of the tail fin is deep blue-green, camouflaging Myrkhavon from predators or prey above. The underside transitions into pale aquamarine and silver, reflecting the light from below to blend with the ocean surface. Bioluminescent veins trace through the webbing, glowing faintly in patterns that can mimic the shimmer of light through water. These patterns can intensify during combat, displays, or communication.

Vocalizations:
Roars: Myrkhavon's roars are deep and resonating, and when released, they are said to shake the waves. His roars begin as a low rumble that growls into an earth-shaking cacophony. They carry the weight of crushing tides and tectonic shifts, reverberating through the ocean as though the very sea protests his fury. His roar may start with a bone-chilling growl and end in a crescendo of an unholy, guttural scream that supposedly twists the water itself.

Growls: A constant, eerie hum that vibrates through the water like the sound of distant earthquakes. His layered growls are akin to the grinding of massive stones beneath the ocean-carrying whispers that are unsettling to those who hear them, bringing an instinctive sense of dread.

Croons: They're haunting and melodic, resembling a mournful underwater song. They carry faint, hypnotic tones with an unworldly rhythm that resonates deep within the listener's chest. His croons are laced with an eerie beauty, a sound so enchanting yet terrifying, like the song of Sirens luring sailors to their doom.

Hisses: They're sharp and serpentine, cutting through the water like a high-pitched wave slicing through the depths. They echo with danger-a predator's warning that even the smallest disturbance irks his wrath.

Rumbles: Myrkhavon's ambient sounds resemble the shifting underwater tectonic plates; a persistent vibration that makes the water heavy and oppressive. These rumbles may carry an unsettling pulse as if his very breath disturbs the balance of the waters.

Voice: Myrkhavon’s voice, when speaking, is deep and reverberant, like the voice of the ocean given form. It is cold and commanding, with an unyielding authority that brooks no defiance. His words echo and linger, as if the currents themselves carry his voice further than natural sound could travel. A slow, deliberate cadence, every word weighted as though it were carved from stone. His speech is layered, with subsonic undertones and faint, ghostly harmonics that evoke the whispers of the abyss.

═══════ ≪ ༺༻ ≫ ═══════

"The deep itself obeys his call. Myrkhavon is no mere dragon; he is the will of the ocean, the harbinger of its endless wrath."

Abilities:
I. Bioluminescent Deception
Inspired by deep-sea creatures like anglerfish, Myrkhavon can emit hypnotic lights from his scales or eyes, creating an eerie glow that lures prey or confuses enemies. The light can also create phantasms of other creatures or illusions of safety. This enables him to hunt without confrontation, draw prey into traps, or disorient attacking forces. The hypnotic light can paralyze weaker minds temporarily. Ineffective against foes who shield their vision or fight blindly. Overuse can briefly dim the glow of his scales, making him vulnerable to ambush. Can be used repeatedly but requires an hour of recovery after prolonged use to recharge his energy reserves.

II. Abyssal Cry
Myrkhavon unleashes a sonic roar that travels through water, creating shockwaves capable of shattering hulls, disabling aquatic life, and disorienting enemies. The roar also stirs the water around him into violent turbulence. The soundwave can travel great distances underwater, serving as both an attack and a warning. The shockwave’s force grows stronger in confined spaces like trenches. Although, it's ineffective in the air, with its power greatly reduced in shallow waters. The defending cry can temporarily dull his senses. It requires several hours to recover the energy needed for another roar.

III. Tidal Singularity
Myrkhavon can create a swirling vortex of water that acts as a gravitational sink, drawing in everything around it—debris, creatures, or entire vessels. At the vortex’s core lies crushing, inescapable pressure. It's highly destructive against groups of enemies or fleets, pulling them into an aquatic “black hole.” Effective for controlling wide areas of battle. The singularity lasts only a few minutes before dissipating, leaving Myrkhavon temporarily drained. He must avoid direct combat until his energy stabilizes. A full day is required for this catastrophic ability to be used again.

IV. Chameleonic Submersion
Mimicking the stealth of deep-sea creatures, Myrkhavon can blend into his surroundings by altering the texture and color of his scales. He becomes nearly invisible in the shadows of the deep. It's perfect for ambushing prey, retreating unnoticed, or stalking enemies. Undetectable by most forms of light or sonar. However, it requires calm and stillness to maintain the effect, rendering him unable to attack while camouflaged. Prolonged use drains his energy. Takes several hours to recover, especially after extended use during high-energy conflicts

V. Apex Ambush
Myrkhavon channels the predatory instincts of creatures like sharks and orcas, launching himself with incredible speed and force out of the water. This leap allows him to attack flying enemies, crush aerial ships, or deliver devastating blows to vessels from below, splitting them in half. The attack is nearly impossible to predict due to its speed and force. His momentum can take out multiple targets in a single strike, and the sheer power can destroy even armored vessels. It requires a deep body of water for maximum effectiveness. The effort temporarily leaves him exposed mid-air, creating a moment of vulnerability before he reenters the water. A 30-minute recharge is required, during which Myrkhavon remains submerged to recover the energy needed for another powerful leap.

VI. Crushing Depths
Inspired by the intense pressure of oceanic trenches, Myrkhavon can summon the crushing force of deep-sea pressure within a localized area. This ability can implode ships, incapacitate creatures, or pin down enemies in an unbearable, invisible grip. It's devastating against armored enemies or structures, and extremely difficult to resist once it takes effect. Underwater, the power amplifies naturally due to existing pressure. Limited to targets within a close radius, requiring proximity. Prolonged use can exhaust Myrkhavon’s reserves of energy. After a sustained use, it takes six hours to restore the energy needed to summon this pressure again.

VII. Tide Manipulation
Myrkhavon commands the tides, summoning massive walls of water or whirlpools capable of swallowing entire fleets. He can redirect ocean currents to create barriers, traps, or devastating tsunamis. This power demonstrates unparalleled control over large-scale aquatic forces, devastating to both land and sea. It’s particularly effective in defending his territory or overwhelming enemies with sheer force. Limited to bodies of water; its effectiveness decreases in smaller water sources like rivers or lakes. Requires concentration, leaving him vulnerable during the summoning. Takes a day to fully recharge, as it expends significant energy to bend the ocean to his will.

Strengths:
I. Abyssal Camoflauge
Drawing inspiration from deep-sea creatures, Myrkhavon can blend seamlessly with the dark waters, moving undetected while stalking his prey. This ability makes him an unparalleled predator, capable of striking without warning.

II. Master of Oceanic Forces
Myrkhavon possesses unparalleled control over aquatic forces, such as tides, currents, and underwater pressure. His ability to summon devastating whirlpools and towering waves makes him a formidable force in his domain.

III. Psychological Dread
Myrkhavon’s reputation alone is enough to weaken his enemies. The fear he instills before battle disrupts the morale of his adversaries, giving him a psychological edge long before any confrontation begins. His aura of dread reflects his regal arrogance, an unwavering belief in his supremacy as the embodiment of the abyss.

IV. Unyielding Will
Myrkhavon’s resolve is absolute; he is relentless in pursuing his goals and protecting his domain. No obstacle—be it mortal, divine, or elemental—can deter him once his mind is set. This unwavering determination makes him a force of persistence, capable of outlasting opponents and executing plans over centuries. His patience ensures victory, even in long conflicts

V. Intellect of the Watery Realms
Myrkhavon possesses an unparalleled understanding of both freshwater and saltwater domains. From knowing the labyrinthine paths of river systems to the hidden trenches of the deep ocean, he has mapped the entirety of aquatic terrains within his vast mind. This allows him to navigate and manipulate any water-based environment to his advantage. His vast intellect gives him a strategic edge, as he can exploit the specific traits of his environment, whether it’s using the deadly stillness of a swamp or the crushing currents of the open sea.

Weaknesses:
I. Reliance on Water
Myrkhavon’s abilities are deeply tied to water, making him far less effective on land or in dry environments. His influence diminishes significantly away from his domain. Land-based enemies who lure him into dry areas can exploit this limitation.

II. Isolation
Myrkhavon’s aloof and solitary nature keeps him distant from allies and unwilling to form bonds with others who aren't his rider(s), even with other oceanic creatures. His isolation makes him vulnerable to coordinated attacks and blinds him to external events beyond his realm.

III. Arrogance
Myrkhavon’s belief in his supremacy blinds him to the capabilities of lesser beings. This arrogance can make him dismissive of potential threats. Underestimating opponents could lead to strategic missteps, leaving him exposed.

IV. Bound to the Waters
As a creature of the water, he struggles in brightly lit or shallow waters, where his abilities and camouflage lose potency. Enemies who confront him in such areas can reduce his effectiveness and force him to retreat.

V. Energy Intensive Powers
His strongest abilities—like creating maelstroms or summoning tidal waves—require significant energy and long recovery periods. He is susceptible to counterattacks during cooldown phases when he is temporarily drained.

Backstory:
The Birth of Myrkhavon
Myrkhavon's story began in the Abyssal Maw, a colossal trench buried deep within the ocean, where even the gods dared not tread. It was said that the Maw itself was alive. A living vortex of shadows and crushing pressure from its core, Myrkhavon emerged. Born during a cataclysmic alignment of stars that made the waters churn in upheaval. It's said he wasn't a mere dragon but the embodiment of the abyss itself. His first breaths carried the rumble of tectonic plates and the hum of the abyss’s eternal currents. The waters that birthed him carried ancient power, granting him dominion over the tides, the currents, and the secrets buried far beneath the surface. From the moment of his birth, he was destined to reign as the protector of the deep.

The Period of Life: Myrkhavon's Reign
For centuries, Myrkhavon guarded the depths with an unyielding will. He forged an empire beneath the waves, becoming a figure of myth and terror. Sailors whispered legends of his shadow crossing beneath their ships, the pressure of his presence snapping hulls as if they were twigs. Entire fleets vanished into oblivion, drawn into whirlpools that bore his mark. Those who escaped carried tales of glowing eyes in the darkness and an unearthly roar that churned the ocean itself.

Myrkhavon’s power extended beyond the physical realm. He was said to carry the knowledge of the ocean’s deepest secrets—ancient ruins, lost civilizations, and forgotten treasures. This knowledge, however, weighed heavily upon him, leading to periods of solitude where he retreated to the Abyssal Maw to brood and contemplate. Though feared and respected by all creatures of the sea, Myrkhavon’s reign was not without challenge. Rival dragons and meddlesome mortals attempted to disturb his dominion, but all who dared fell to the wrath of the abyss.

Myrkhavon’s connection to the abyss made him eternal yet isolated. His intelligence and control were unmatched, but his solitude shaped him into a being of cold, calculated power. Over time, he became less a dragon and more a myth—an entity whispered of in cautionary tales and prayers to ocean gods.
