The very moment other wolf noticed his limp he stilled for a bit, frozen in a spot out of habit, cause he knew that his leg will be noticed, still, he feared. "It is a birth defect" he tried to shake himself off and topic casually. Not really willing to dwell onto it for too long. "It doesn't hurt too much most of the time, we can still play" he answered her worries quickly while streching a bit to show how he's ready and judging by the grin present on her charming face, Garin must have decided that their game is still on. Sooty felt relived, strangely happy even, as if this encounter held more importance than any other in his life so far. Strange elan pupmed through his veins, rousing him to show off, to impress, to do anything to prove himself as good playmate for playful fairy. Body lowered to a position similar to a crouch as he barked: "Okay! At your mark then. I'll give you some headstart of course" |

"You're even more special than I thought!" Garin smiled freely. She swirled in excitement. "You'll regret that headstart! Catch me if you can!" The female jumped off to a run, her movement smooth and graceful. Wind picked up her fur as she gained speed, running by the bank of the lake towards the trees where the wind seemed to wave to cheer them on. As she ran through the forest on that warm summer night, her senses heightened with the thrill of being chased by a friendly stranger. The moon cast a soft glow through the trees, illuminating the path ahead. Her feet carried her effortlessly over the forest floor, her muscles working in perfect harmony as she leaped over fallen branches and dodged around trees. The air was alive with the sounds of the forest. Crickets chirped in the underbrush, the rustle of leaves overhead, and the occasional hoot of an owl. But above all, she could hear the sound of her own breathing, deep and rhythmic. Her fur rippled in the wind as she broke through the tree line, running with wild abandon under the open sky. The cool breeze brushed against her face, lifting her spirits and invigorating her body. She felt alive, free, and unencumbered by any worries or fears. As she ran, she could feel her heart beating strong and steady, a primal rhythm that echoed the beat of the earth itself. Her eyes sparkled with excitement and joy, taking in the beauty of the forest around her. Those sparkling eyes softened with a smile as she looked back to Sooty, teasing him. "Come on!" |

Gaze that held all the colors of the grass, from fresh spring green sprouts to dry wilted yellow of the dying, held firm onto prancing flutter of white fur. Two bodies grazed against sleeping midnight shrubbery as they chased. Like a shadow trying to catch up to one it belongs to, Sooty followed after Garin, precious spark of Jawa Supremacy pack. While in awe of her fluid movements, he had to take some detours or push through bush because if he were to take a sharp turn it would put him at risk of losing his balance. Gentle moonlight glow aided him by reflecting brighter against white mane that was becoming less and less visible rather quickly. When it disappeared from his sight he had to switch to his audits, trust them to distinguish rythmic sounds of her sprinting from all other murmurs surrounding him. Lack of her form worried him, even though her sweet scent lingered in the air, even though he could still hear her swiftly running ahead, even though his heart pumped strong from something more than adrenaline. Suddendly the whisper, of leaves as fur brushed it in passage, was gone. Dark wolf almost stopped too, unsure of where to go. Should he keep going forward? Or take a turn? She did weave around a lot, tree trunks like dancing partners for her and hurdles for him as he pushed besides then onwards. A whimper bubbled in his throat which he swallowed swiftly, for if this was a dream he should not mourn it yet, but try to dream again. And like a shooting star a call broke through the night: "Come on!" No longer confused or lost, Sooty sprinted as fast as he could. (I am not sure if you imagined the run differently and if I went bit off rails, if you want me to fix something to fit better let me know :3 I am bit tired tonight ehe, but still wanted to reply ^^) |

(it's beautiful! Please let me know too if you want to change something or want me to fix anything ^^) Garin ran and ran until the wind took her breath away and she came to halt, catching it back. She looked back and could not see Sooty, but the she-wolf did not seem to worry. Her blue-brown gaze trailed the area. The forest was cloaked in darkness, but her senses were alert, spiked by adrenaline. She could hear all the scritch, scritch and cooing and squeaking of all animals around her, the warm little scents of mice teasing her nose. All the little creatures hidden yet very much there, awoke and thriving in the shroud of the night. Just beside her was a large fallen tree bark. Hollow, as if it was already there several summers ago when lighting struck from the storm and charred the base of the tree, promptly ending its long years of growth. Moss and shrubberies grew on and around it. She stepped closer, peering at the hollow bark. The scent of wood and damp moss filled her twitching black nose. There was a large enough space for two, maybe three wolves inside. A little devilish smile played on her lips, chuckles still full of hot breath, and she slipped inside to hide. She crouched with tails wagging full of anticipation, ears tilting as she listened intently to the incoming footsteps of Sooty. A snail slithered near her front right paw and she lifted it sympathetically, allowing the little mollusk to slowly make its way to the other side of the trunk. |

'Oh! There is a forest clearing here, then it is no wonder that the sound disappeared' he though, breaking away from forest edge and onto grassy plain, disturbing and setting off sleepy fireflies. Small clearing was empty except for a fallen tree in the middle. The fact Garin's fur was not in sight did not worry him as he confidently strode towards the only nearby place large enough to hide a wolf. Tapper of his paws probably alerted her of his presence like faint trace of her scent confirmed that she is or was here. After circling charred wood, with audits moving curiously, Sooty was able to cross idea of white female leaving this place because nothing indicated so, sole trail of her scent being in direction he arrived from. Sooty used his front leg to hit against bark. A hollow thump with a trace of giggle that his mind probably conjured, made his smile at wits of the playmate. "Are you inside Garin?" he asked playfully, sneaking onto, hopefully sturdy enough, tree trunk. |

Garin's perked ears caught the footsteps of Sooty. They were distinct with his limp, each step he took was as if he imprinted those paws on her brain, gently pressing a pattern into her memories. She couldn't suppress her giggles when he came so near to her, waiting in anticipation for his lovely face to pop into view by the end of the tree trunk. The anticipation had rippled through her entire body to sone release on her wagging tail, but not nearly enough to quell it. "Are you inside, Garin?" His voice almost made her whimper. She felt buzzing tingles on her bent legs, raring to stand and hop in an excited circle. As soon as she almost couldn't resist the urge anymore, the male's heterochromic eyes shone as he peered, and all springs in Garin's small body was released as she jumped to pounce him with force that might knock him down if he didn't dodge in time. |

Not even a lowered stance helped Sooty stay on his feet as energetic flurry of white hit him, knocking him down with surprised yelp. "H-hah-hi" he puffed under her weight that was suddendly on his ribcage. Still he smiled, strangely happy and grateful for encountering her. "Guess you caught me ,instead of me catching you" he laughed in amusement. (Sentence with sound of him walking being imprinted in her memories is both magical when you think of their building bond, and bit funny if you imagine Sooty literally walking over mushy pink of brain XD I love it though, both ways) ((Sorry if I put emphasis in wrong places in last sentence :'3 I kind of tried to pronounce it out loud to get a feel of it, but my feel of accents or sound differantion in general is quite weak)) |

Garin stood over Sooty, her paws pinning down his chest and she was laughing, her eyes fixated on him. "Oh, how the turn tables. I got you," she playfully opened her mouth to Sooty's neck, as if biting him. "You're my servant now!" (( Mushy brain matter xD dark foreshadowing? I can hear it perfect in my head, no worries :o )) |

Her playul nature surprised him again, but it endeared him too, the fact that there is someone with both maturity to face reality and abundance of imagination to dream of things that are wonderful, though will never exist outside of bubble. "Alright! Alright" he played along, dancing along thin water membrane, wishing for rainbows born from soap and light to never disperse. "What are your orders, my princess?" he asked while bowing his head the best he could in current position. (That is very dark XD, though um, dunno we can discuss cause we are pretty much set on this story ending sad or..?) |

(( Of course we can discuss, I'm leaning towards happy ending actually 😆 I do want something they do to have dire consequences though )) She jumped off of him and circled where she stood in an excited zoomies. She then gathered herself together, enough to stand still and lift her chin up in a cheeky haughtiness. "Very well, my servant! We're going on a hunt!" She tilted her head at him. "You do know how to hunt, don't you?" Then the juvenile wolf added with a self-conscious grin. "Because this princess has never left her castle yet." |
