Finn swallowed thickly when he heard Raihn begin to speak. Surely Raihn knew what happened, how could he not? Finn brought his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around them. He continued to look elsewhere, avoiding eye contact. "What's there to talk about?" Finn replied after a moment of silence. His voice was low and quiet as he attempted to hide his embarrassment. Finally, his eyes met Raihn's, but he couldn't keep them on him for long. Looking down at his hands, he started fidgeting with them. Maybe if he crawled into his tent and went to bed, it would be fine in the morning. Maybe, just maybe, Raihn was too wasted and wouldn't remember anything in the morning. Finn hoped to god that was the case, it would save him any further embarrassment. Finn breathed in shakily, attempting to calm his nerves with a deep breath. With his jaw clenched, he looked back at Raihn, this time for longer. He couldn't believe they were making out and then he had to screw it up.

Exhaling slowly, Raihn dragged his tongue over his bottom lip as he studied Finn, his sharp green gaze locking onto every nervous twitch and shaky breath. The firelight which cast shifting shadows across Finn's face highlighted the tension in his jaw, the way his fingers seemed to fidget like he was trying to hold himself together. "You really gonna pretend like that didn't just happen?" Raihn finally said, his voice low, edged with something unreadable. He didn't like being played with, and while he had a fair idea of why Finn had raced off and returned with clear signs of having taken a fresh shower, it still felt as though that was exactly what had happened. Not moving from where he was leaning back on his hands, Raihn kept his posture relaxed, deceptively so. His eyes, however, were anything but. He found himself watching Finn too closely, unwilling to let him slip away into silence and avoidance. "Why the hell did you run off?" He questioned his tone even but insistent. He hadn't been sure how the night was going to end, but considering how amazing the kiss had been he had found himself hoping for an entirely different outcome than the one he found himself facing. His fingers curled against the dirt, his patience wearing thin. He wasn't about to let Finn brush this off like some drunken mistake, not when he had felt how badly Finn had wanted it. How he had leaned into the kiss and how his hands had grabbed at him like he was afraid to let go. But a mistake is exactly what this is... no? The moment that thought appeared, Raihn tensed and shoved it aside. "You seemed like you were enjoying yourself." He continued, letting his voice dip lower and mix with something that was close to but not quite amusement.

Finn could feel Raihn's piercing stare, and it only made him tense up more. Swallowing thinking, he listened to Raihn's reply. He did not attempt to reply, he didn't know what to say, and he didn't really want to say anything. He wanted this conversation to be done and over with. Finn wanted to pretend it never happened. Ugh, it made him want to rip his hair out. He wished Raihn wanted to pretend it didn't happen either, but it seemed like that was the last thing he wanted to do. Picking at his skin, he met Raihn's stare again. He closed his eyes and looked away at what Raihn said next. Wasn't it clear why Finn ran off? Who wouldn't if that had happened to them? It was almost like Raihn wanted to hear the words come out of his mouth, what a fucking jerk. The question honestly pissed Finn off a bit, but it wasn't enough to over power the feeling of embarrassment that was running through his veins. "Yeah, I think I was enjoying myself a little too much." Finn replied, glancing back at Raihn. He chuckled a bit but was quick to fall silent again. Looking back down at his hands, he breathed in, attempting to calm down more. Subconsciously, he bit down on his bottom lip before picking at the skin.

Raihn's eyes narrowed slightly as he watched Finn, his gaze unyielding and sharp as ever. The tense shift in Finn's body didn't go unnoticed, rather he could practically feel him pulling away even more, the quiet desperation to end the conversation hanging in the air. Raihn didn't like it. His patience was already fraying at the edges, but something about the way Finn was reacting kept him from getting up and walking away. He wasn't ready to let this slip by without getting some answers. When Finn glanced up and met his stare, Raihn caught the brief flash of frustration, and perhaps a little resentment even. It made him lean forward slightly, his shoulders sagged just a touch as the high that had been keeping him so alert and sharp started to wane. The alcohol in his system wasn't as strong now, though he wasn't near being sober, and the weight of the conversation was beginning to press down on him in a way that made his thoughts sluggish. He wasn't quite as confident anymore as his energy dissipated in the silence between them. God, what am I doing? This is a mistake. Surprisingly he found that he didn't want to believe it, but his mind was starting to question everything. The reason he had been ignoring growing louder now. He was good at reading people, even drunk he had faith in his abilities, and for a moment there he could have sworn that Finn had wanted the same thing he did. The way he had kissed him, the way he had pulled at him like he didn't want to let go. But now... now Finn's attitude had changed completely. He was avoiding him again, and Raihn felt the sharp sting of it more than he expected. "You're really not gonna give me anything else?" He muttered under his breath, his voice a little hoarse and a little less sure than it had been before. He still wasn't backing down, but the usual edge to his words had softened.
`
Finn's reply hit him harder than he expected, and for a brief moment, Raihn couldn't hide the slight flicker of something in his eyes. Pride perhaps, or a sense of knowing because he had an idea of what had made Finn sprint away and take a shower. He let out a dry laugh, his shoulders slumping back and his fingers flexed against the dirt. It didn't feel as satisfying now, not with Finn being so distant. Riahn closed his eyes for a second, the high and buzz from the night beginning to flicker out, leaving him feeling strangely exposed. His breath came out slow, a little unsteady as he tried to gather his thoughts. "Yeah... me too." He said softly, his voice barely above a whisper. The arrogance and confidence he'd been holding his voice since he'd started drinking, instead it was replaced by something that felt more like frustration and maybe a little uncertainty. He hated it. The fire crackled between them, the air thick with things unsaid. He wanted to ask more, push harder but his energy was fading, his thoughts spinning slower than they had been a few moments ago. And that, more than anything, made him feel uneasy. So instead, he shifted, drawing a slow breath in and letting it out his eyes fixed on the flames of the fire before him.

"Well, clearly not as much as me." Finn said quietly, feeling ashamed of what had happened. "I didn't... mean to." Finn then added, his voice much quieter. He then didn't attempt to say anything else, instead, he let the silence rise between them. The buzz from the beer and weed was now fading, causing Finn to want to disappear. If he were more messed up, or if they had more stuff, he would have been fine. Clenching his jaw again, he stopped holding his knees to his chest and stretched out his legs. "I didn't want to stop." Finn then said, his voice a little louder and more confident now. He slightly got up and turned around to face his tent. Slowly, he crawled into his tent and to his side. He purposely left his tent open, just for the very unlikely chance that Raihn would join him. He knew it would probably not happen at all, but he assumed that since he said what he said, Raihns eyes would for sure fall on him at some point. Finn rummaged around through his stuff, looking for another pair of boxers. As he sat down, his eyes fell on Raihn, and he continued to stare at him as he undressed. A smirk fell on his face, and it was like he wasn't embarrassed at all. He knew that since it was so dark, and only the light was from the flames, Raihn probably wouldn't be able to see anything from where he was. He slid on his boxers before laying down and getting comfortable. With a hand behind his head, he laid on his back and closed his eyes. Fuck was that a night.

Raihn's gaze sharped as he listened to Finn speak, the quietness in his voice hitting him harder than expected. The words hung in the air like a weight and Raihn wasn't quite sure how to respond to this soft admission. His brow furrowed slightly, the last traces of his high dissolving into a strange and uncomfortable clarity. Finn's self-doubt was palpable and for a moment, Raihn found himself wanting to say something, anything, to cut through the tension. But before he could find the words, Finn added more this time a little louder and more confident, and it hit Raihn harder than he expected. The words were a soft admission, yet there was something raw in them, something that tugged at Raihn. He exhaled sharply through his nose, watching as Finn made his way into his tent, leaving it open just a crack. It wasn't much, but it was enough to make something stir in Raihn's chest. A few seconds passed before Raihn found himself struggling to his feet. His legs felt heavy and his mind still felt caught between the buzz of alcohol and the sudden clarity of Finn's words. He didn't know what he was doing as he moved closer to Finn's tent. He glanced down at the fire, its light casting long shadows, but even with the shadows, his eyes instinctively sought Finn. The boy was moving, rummaging through his things, and he found himself unable to look away. His pulse quickened but he stayed where he was for a moment, fighting the impulse to follow. What the fuck is wrong with me? Before he could settle into that thought he saw Finn slip in a new pair of boxers. The smirk that formed on his face was enough to catch Raihn off guard, and for a second, he felt the heat rise in his chest. His mouth went dry as he leaned forward slightly, not entirely sure what to make sure of it and not at all sure if Finn was playing with him or if this was something else. The moment that Finn settled back and laid down before closing his eyes, Raihns gaze lingered on him, watching him with an intensity he hadn't intended. The firelight flickered across Finn's features, softening the edges of his face as he seemed to settle into the night. Raihn felt the desire to say something, but he couldn't get the words out. His mind felt strangely scattered like his usual certainty had faded with the high, leaving him adrift in a sea of what-ifs. There was a part of him, too much of him if he was being honest, that wanted to follow Finn into the tent. To crawl in next to him and figure out what the hell was really going on between them. But another part of him, a quieter part was still trying to make sense of the mess that had just unfolded. He didn't want to push too hard, but he didn't want to let this slide either, not when the night had unfolded like this. After a few moments, he sighed and, making his decision, took a few steps toward the tent.

Even though Finn's eyes were closed, he could feel Raihn's eyes on him. Not even a couple seconds later, Finn could hear Raihn, and it sounded like he was coming closer. Finn's heart immediately sped up, he was hoping this would happen. Should he open his eyes or keep them closed until Raihn was beside him? So many thoughts flooded his mind as his heart raced. Was this really happening? Finn appreciated how Raihn didn't make fun of him for what had happened, but then again, Finn also wasn't fully sure Raihn knew what had actually happened. Since Raihn was intoxicated, he quite literally could have been too messed up to comprehend what Finn implied. He could hear Raihn get closer, and closer, but still, he kept his eyes closed. His heart only continued to speed up, as he equally got nervous and excited. What was going to happen? What was Raihn going to do? What was Finn going to do?

With his heart beating faster with each step he took, Raihn made sure his steps were careful and measured. Thanks to the walking stick that Finn had given him it wasn't too painful or difficult to move from the fire and to the tent. His mind felt clouded, still muddled from the alcohol and weed, and yet still there was a sharp edge of curiosity about Finn that had cut through all of it. He wasn't entirely sure what he was doing, in moments like these he never rarely ever was, not that moments like these happened often. Still about the way Finn had left the tent open a small and silent act of invitation pulled him forward. He was still only in his boxers thanks to the fact that his clothes had needed washing, and he wasn't about to sit in the cold night air half-dressed. That was his excuse, the one he told himself as his bare feet moved silently over the ground and toward Finn's tent. Upon reaching it, Raihn stood still for a moment, his eyes scanning the inside. It didn't take long before his eyes fell on Finn, lying there still and quiet with his eyes closed. He wasn't sure why but it was clear to him almost instantly that the guy was pretending to be asleep. With his heartbeat quickening Raihn drew in a breath and then stepped inside. He moved onto his hands and knees, careful of his injured ankle as he moved further into it. The air felt heavier now and he could feel his chest tightening in response as the cool night seeped in through the fabric. Raihn paused just inside the tent, taking a slow, measured breath. He didn't want to rush things, not when he didn't even know what Finn wanted. The silence stretched between them, and both of them were left with nothing but the weight of unspoken words. He took note of the fact that Finn's eyes were still closed and for a moment, he considered letting him stay there, pretending nothing had happened. But he could still feel the remnants of tension that hung between them, thick and palpable which made that idea feel almost impossible. Sitting down slowly, Raihn found his spot just a short distance from Finn. For several moments he kept a little distance at first before he leaned back on his hands and studied Finn. His gaze was soft, but the faintest hint of something more was there, something that wasn't entirely sure of where to go next. "You know, you could at least open your eyes." He muttered softly, his voice low but almost teasing. He wasn't entirely sure what he was hoping for from Finn, but something in him ached to break the silence.

Finn listened closely over his racing heart, hearing the shuffling of Raihn getting closer. He could hear him sit down beside him. Surprisingly, Raihn still wanted to talk. Finn had assumed he would lie down and sleep, but he assumed wrong. Slowly, Finn opened his eyes, quickly finding Raihn's gaze with his own. "Why, isn't it clear I'm going to sleep?" Finn replied, his voice quiet with a slightly teasing tone to it. A small smirk curled at the corner of his lips as he continued to keep his eyes on Raihn. This was dangerous, Raihn was dangerous. He was making Finn feel so much just by sitting mere inches away from him. His gaze and the way he spoke made Finn feel things. He was a bad idea. Slowly, Finn got up, he did it in a slightly teasing way before slowly getting closer. "What do you want, Raihn?" Finn asked, his voice low and teasing. His face was now just inches away from Raihns, but he wasn't making any attempt to close the gap just yet. Finn still had no clue what Raihn wanted, so kissing him again was a no go for now, he didn't want to risk getting shoved. "Mhm." Finn then said quietly, studying the male's face as he slightly tilted his head. His eyes slowly fell down to the male's lips before looking at his eyes again. Finn knew what he was doing, and he was good at it. Slowly but surely, Finn started to back up, putting some distance between them. Once he thought they were at a good enough distance, he stopped moving and leaned back on his hand a bit. He kept his gaze on Raihn, checking him out and studying him.
