Personality: Emery is a complicated person. They are always looking for chaos and trouble with their friends, mischievous schemes and daring pranks are never far when Emery is around. Being a natural born leader, they can easily convince anyone they are right and their charisma convinces those around them to join in on their crafty plots and devious plans. Despite their charming appeal, Emery can be a bit stubborn and aggressive, leading many not to become close with Emery. Those that do get over the hurtle of Emery’s short-temper and overconfidence, however, will be pleasantly surprised with how gentle Emery can be. Once Emery has made a friend, they will defend them to the very end especially if they think anyone is going to hurt them. Emery has a… tendency to be quick to jump the gun and assume that people are going to hurt the ones they care about. Then again, Emery is quick to jump the gun in all circumstances.
Emery absolutely does not care in the slightest what people think of them, freely jamming out to whatever song they are listening to in the subways, loudly talking about subjects that some would find to be embarrassing, and having absolutely zero filter in any circumstances. Emery may seem like a rude jerk a lot of the time, but they are just about the most truthful person imaginable because they a) do not see the need in lying and b) do not care about hurting said person’s feelings with the truth. If they have an opinion, they will say it without hesitation if prompted. Of course, if their primary ability tells Emery it would be better to lie slightly, Emery will do so.
Because of how Emery was raised by their military family, Emery greatly dislikes any form of authority trying to control them, thus why they elect themself as leader to most things. Emery, whether by their own, subconscious intentions or pure random circumstance, surrounds themself with people who tend to be followers so Emery is very accustomed to leading the masses so long as they refrain from being too abrasive. While it may sound like Emery buries themself in “yes-men,” those they are closest to are those Emery tends to disagree with a lot because Emery likes them more for their honesty. Afterall, Emery is honest with everyone so they would expect the same in return. If not… well… to lie to Emery is to start Armageddon.
While Emery does not often fall easily in-love with others, when they do fall, they fall hard. Absolutely gushing over the person constantly to friends, it might take them time to actually realize their feelings. However, as soon as they do realize their feelings, they will be quick to act upon them and immediately try to ask said person out. Emery is very comfortable being in relationships and does not get embarrassed easily so they are definitely one to toss compliments and praise towards their partner.
Song-writing and journal-drawing, Emery is very creative when it comes to inventing new art. Coming up with tiny lyrical masterpieces on their mini-synth or writing their most recent adventures into their overflowing journal are some of the only things that calm Emery down when in a fit of rage. If Emery is stressed by something, they’ll break out either their instrument and book, sit down away from anyone else, and just relax. Outside of these two areas, Emery’s creativity continues to grow when their mind isn’t clouded with anger or frustration. Playing brain puzzles on their phone for years on end has positive effects, doesn’t it? Although, if Emery comes up with their own solution for once instead of relying on others and said solution doesn’t work, Emery will immediately shut themself off, going quiet as they repeatedly bash themself for not being able to do anything but rely on their power.
Appearance: Standing at five foot seven, Emery has a fairly skinny upper body because they hate it when they grow lots of muscles and look overly masculine. To overcome this fact, Emery has powerful legs that are long and that allow them to deliver strong blows to enemies and run quickly away from them if need be. Emery’s overall body is a square shape with their shoulders and waist equal in length to one another that is an uncomfortable body to have in Emery’s mind; however, Emery's thighs and legs are becoming stronger and bigger which Emery is fairly proud of. Their skin is a pale almond that is smooth and soft to the touch especially compared to their hands which are tougher than the rest of their skin. Their hands are rough and the skin by their black painted nails is scabbed and wounded from the number of times Emery has scratched at them while blankly staring off. As for body hair, Emery has none of it. Other than their eyebrows, eyelashes, and hair, Emery detests all other forms of hair on their body because they hate how it makes them look.
Speaking of hair though, Emery’s hair is bleached white on the exterior with a dark brown interior and roots. Their fluffy hair comes down just below their chin which has a sharper jawline. They do have soft brown eyes that are rarely seen thanks to piercing glares or sharp eyeliner. Compared to their constant wicked grins and occasionally sly smirks that reveal jagged teeth they had inherited from their Pops, their eyes are incredibly soft. Their cheeks grow a rosy red when they blush which is then just enough to make out a faint, small scar on their right cheek. Also on their cheeks are small gold flakes that decorate them with an illustrious shine. Although these flakes are more present on their face, they also appear on Emery’s ears, shoulders, arms, back, and in other random areas of their body.
Emery’s clothes tend to vary depending on their mood, but their outfits tend to be relatively the same. The two outfits Emery tends to wear the most often are relatively similar. Wearing a white button up under a baggy, black sweater that has a soft interior, Emery likes to wear a plaid red skirt that stops just above their knees. Beneath their skirt are long black and white striped socks and midknight army boots that they also wear with their other outfit. When they don’t feel like wearing a skirt, Emery will wear their gray hoodie with ripped sleeves and baggy khakis. Of course, Emery will always wear their stud earrings; although, they will sometimes be covered in their large headphones covered in stickers so much so that its original color is not visible. Emery also carries a small red backpack with the left strap torn off. Inside is a mini-synth Emery received from a friend when they were younger, a super secret journal, and a few other random assortments. Oh and how could they forget about their simple gold necklace with a tiny four-pointed star pendant: a gift from their surrogate mother when Emery turned ten.
