I lope after the alpha female, my heart thundering-thundering-thundering. It had been so long since they had come after us... but they were here now.

But do we run... or do we fight?

My pack was in danger. My friends were in danger. May God damn my soft heart, but even Leaf was in danger.

I couldn't just run away and leave them behind us. I wasn't even sure if we just left them to their own devices, they would reach us. I didn't want to be trapped.

Heck, I didn't want many things. And I did want some things.

Starting with giving them a little warning note.

Nightingale continued loping towards our den, but I couldn't turn my back on the humans any longer.

"Nightingale? ... Get the pack ready. I'll buy us some time... and I'll be back before you know it."

Without waiting for a answer, I melted off into the bushes and turned back to face whatever the humans were doing to our forest.

Kira would just walk away from leaf bored she'd look about for nightingale but couldn't see her so she'd sit somewhere bored tryna see if she can find nightingale even though she couldn't but kept looking eventually she saw her and ran to nightingale happy and said "ello nightingale!"

(I didn't want to become every second poster... but in the interests of keeping this RP alive I probably kinda need to for now)

I slowly circled back towards the humans that we saw, my footfalls getting quieter as I slowly circled around to see them.

Our enemy. Tearing down our trees, invading our land.

I couldn't take such an insult lying down.

Slowly approaching them, I dropped into a crouch, surveying what spread before me. a group of humans, carrying strange shiny equipment, and making a ton of noise.

I slid forward, slowly now. While I had no knowledge of what they were using, I did know that what they were doing was against us. To destroy us.

I stood up, and made myself look as menacing as possible. They may be taller than us, but I knew I could take at least one of them down if need be.

My heart panged briefly for the rest of my pack, and briefly I thought of Leaf. What injuries would she need to heal of me later? I put it out of my mind. I promised Nightingale I would buy them time, and to be back before they knew it. I would hold myself up to that.

With that in mind, I loosed a large growl, looking menacingly at the humans.

They wouldn't take many more steps further into our forest under my watch.

Leaf trotted over to the stream near the camp. She padded in, the water comming just above her paws. She enjoyed the water as long as she didn't have to swim. She mentally prepared herself for the many injurys that came with sumer.
