Although taken aback by the rather hostile approach, Tony could understand. Standing up from his crouch, he backed up a couple of steps. Tony didn't run into other cats often, so this was a rather interesting thing to happen in his otherwise boring and miserable life. He offered a slight grin to the defensive tom cat, not looking for any conflict. "I didn't mean to intrude on your territory," he meowed in a calm tone. "...My name's Tony. I don't mean any harm, I swear. I see you're digging through that trash there. Do you want some fish? I'm probably not going to eat it all, anyway." Although that was a lie, he still wanted to make a nice offer. Although he was aware many strays of the city were selfish, not giving a care about anyone else, it was just a part of his nature to be friendly.

Rock was confused, was this cat a coward? Any other cat attacked first and asked questions later. Or was Rock just that frightening. Clearly the cat didnt know he was there. Then Rock noticed the fish. The cat said his name was Tony. "Rock's the name." He said, before moving up a little, no hostility in his voice anymore. "If your willing to give up some for me thats great." He looked back at the trash. He usually distrusted others, but this cat seemed friendly. "You can dig through the trash to if youd like." He said before coming forward some more. He took a small bite of fish and backed off a bit. Its great taste filling his mouth. Usually Rock would just leave, but there was something about this cat. "Tony... Maybe would could team up, two is always better than one." He just hoped his decision wouldnt bite him in the back later on.

Spire rounded the corner, stepping under the cover of an awning and shaking his dark pelt dry. His frown quickly turned to a smile as the strong scent of food filled the area. He leapt onto a loose rock, climbing up onto the windowsill and peaking through the glass. Usually, humans would come to feed him. But, as he was waiting, a strange scent wafted from behind him. Tail puffed, claws unsheathed, teeth barred, and ears pinned he whirled around, facing the assumed danger. Yet he quickly relaxed, noticing that the so called "threat" was in fact two cats quietly conversing by the trash cans. "Hmm..." he thought to himself, his eyes narrowed with curiosity.

For a second, Tony was taken aback by Rock's offer. His eyes widened, not in fear, but in intrigue. Teaming up? No other cat had ever even suggested that before - hell, barely any other felines had even been nice to him before, and Rock was asking to team up? However, Tony wasn't against this idea, not at all - infact, he found it quite exciting. A grin covered his face. "You want to team up? I mean, sure! I've never really partnered with anyone, but I sure could use a friend," Tony purred.

Suddenly, a new scent hit his nose, which made him look around for a second. Quickly, his eyes landed on a feline perched on the edge of a window. Another cat? In one day? Boy, today sure was eventful.

Spire ☾ Male ☾ He/Him ☾ Adult

Dapple was crouched with her tail curled around her back paws under a what seemed like a abandoned burrow beneath a human shed. It wasn't the most comfortable place to be but at least it was dry and the animal that made this burrow seemed quite large.
Dapple didn't like the rain very much her thick fur took ages to dry out completely. Sometimes in the right setting the rain was nice to look at. This was not that setting. She sighed and took a step back as a small splatter of rain drops crept their way into to burrow.

Curious, Tony tilted his head ever so slightly at this new cat. From first impressions, he seemed to be much less defensive than Rock already. Still, Tony thought it'd be nice to get to know his name. "Hi," Tony purred, "I'm Tony. What's your name? I don't recall seeing you around before." He licked his paw, waiting patiently for the other feline to respond. Today seemed quite exciting for Tony, as for most of his life he wandered the streets alone. He had made only a few friends in his life, but they all ended up either biting him in the back or suffering a sad fate of death. Still, despite his troubles with friendship in the past, Tony persisted in trying to build new relationships with others, even considering the risks.

"Well, I just gave the rest of my fish to Rock," Tony meowed to Spire. "But, the human inside of the food-place here seemed unusually nice, so if you went inside I bet they'd give you something," he added with a purr. "I'm not from this particular area either, but then again where I live theres practically no food - unless I manage to find something in the dumpsters." Tony groomed his fur, feeling more relaxed around these two other felines. It felt now as if the tension between them had died down since they had gotten to know eachothers names and whatnot.

"Say, Spire, do you think you'd like to group up with Rock and I?"
