Alright well-meaning go ahead and kick this rp off so it doesnt sit longer and people lose interest. Nyko woke to his alarm and rolled over to turn it off. He sat up rubbing a hand down his face before getting up to shower and get ready for school. It was the pack's first day going to school. Nyko had declared that to look like a normal family everyone old enough and/or young enough would go to school so as to blend in. Of course so pack mates weren't happy with the rules. After his shower nyko got dressed and put on his shoes before heading down the stairs of the pack house to eat breakfast.

Moose, the eldest of the surviving pack, had always been an early riser. Waking in a bed that had still yet to become normal, in a room that was still a mockery of his now-burnt one, Moose stretched and trudged over to the door to check his appearance in the over-the-door mirror. Dissatisfied, he moved to one of the shared washrooms to wash up, tease a leave-in product into his finger-coiled hair, and otherwise freshen himself up for the day. Now pleased, Moose crept down the stairs to the kitchen. The house was cold, as one would expect from the early Colorado mornings, and held a crisp scent to it that tickled Moose's nose when it first hit him. Entering the kitchen, Moose got to work on breakfast -- the earliest of the others to rise would be hungry soon. Between being in charge of the pack's physical wellbeing and the eldest survivor, Moose couldn't help but take it upon himself to ensure everyone was fed. Eggs bubbled in one skillet and bacon sizzled mouth-wateringly as Moose glanced over his shoulder to greet the others coming down the stairs with a small smile, serving up plates with a relative sense of haste. Noticing Nyko, Moose went out of his way to employ a nod, but otherwise neglected to fully recognize the alpha, more focused on the task at hand. He had to admit, the whole school thing was.. interesting. Senior year was interesting enough in the education he'd been receiving before, well, the fire, but at a public human school? Regardless, he had little care to speak against the young alpha, even if he wasn't fully onboard.

Nyko made sure everyone else ate before grabbing a plate himself. When eating as a pack it had been tradition for alphas to eat first then pups. But, he never really understood why there was a pecking order as they always had enough food for everyone. That was the first rule he threw out the window when he became alpha. No doubt it had come from the laws of actual wolf packs. He shook the thought from his head tousling his wavy hair. Today was gonna be a long day. He finished his plate before checking the pups bags to make sure they had everything for school.

It was never easy for Nox to wake up in the morning. She wasn't about to adjust her behaviour now, not after she had to go to a human school. She didn't want to be around humans and had made no secret of her dislike for them. If Nyko thought this would be good for the pack, fine. She'd just have to tolerate it. Before heading downstairs, she made sure to double check her appearance, running a habitual finger along the scar on her right cheek. Hopefully it would be enough to deter any pesky humans from trying to make small talk with her, if her icy demeanor didn't already do the job. Nox contemplated feigning illness before she finally dragged herself downstairs. She got down just in time to hear Shade ask what time school starts, and kept a quiet smile to herself. He was who she would probably stick to all day, being the same age and hopefully in a few of the same classes. She hadn't bothered to memorize the schedule. She instead kept a paper copy in the pocket of her jeans, easily accessible. She quietly thanked Moose as she grabbed a few strips of bacon, savouring them as she ate. "I'll race you there," she said to Shade, smiling. Might as well start off with a run, she decided. --- Rex, on the other hand, was more than excited to actually be going to a school. There weren't many pups, and he had only recently begun to shift himself. He didn't think Nyko needed to check his bag, and gave a disapproving look as the alpha did, but said nothing. He had remembered everything! He was sure of it. Except... He had forgotten his notebook. And his gym shoes, which he only realized as Nyko was going through the bag. Still, he was excited and could feel the energy in the air.

Nyko turned to Rex. "Rex your missing your note book and gym shoes. After you finish eating go find them quick so we can leave ok?" He gave the kid a gentle smile before looking back up the stairs wondering if he should wake Kai or if he will wake on his own. As if on que Kai begins to descend the stairs. Kai hated early mornings and hated the thought of going to school. He always had a hard time sitting still and focusing as well as had issues with the loud noises. He rolled out of bed and groggily trudged down the stairs still in his pj's earning multiple disapproving looks. "What?" He shrugged and sat down to eat. "Ill get dressed after I eat." He then shoved a piece of bacon in his mouth and began chewing.

Nox smiled in response to Shade. A run was a run, even if it wasn't the entire way there. "If Sorren needs help finding his classes, I'll help too," she replied, giving Sorren a playful nudge with her arm. "Then we can all race there." As Kai made his way down the stairs in his pjs, she had to surpress a laugh. She noted the disapproving looks of some of her packmates, but Nox thought it was harmless. If Kai was late because he didn't get dressed, that was his problem. Or, maybe this human school didn't care what they wore. She decided that she would have to investigate the matter, as comfort was always a priority. "I think the pjs suit the occasion," she teased. She took another piece of bacon and bit down, enjoying the texture. "At the very least, you'll stand out." --- Rex was hoping that Nyko wouldn't notice, but of course he did. He nodded, and quickly took a too-big bite of egg to accomplish the task at hand. He didn't particularly like being told what to do, especially since he was already going to do it anyway, but he didn't say anything. As soon as he finished chewing, he raced upstairs past Kai, barely even noticing him as he passed. He was too focused on his mission.
