Perhaps Avari based on or inspired by Greek Gods or Goddesses? Such as Hades, Hermes, Aphrodite, Zeus, Poisidon, Artemis, Ares, Athena, Demeter, e.t.c
Maybe other mythologies too, such as the Loch Ness Monster. Or Halloween themed, as October is next month. Like a ghost, ghoul, witch, hellhound, werewolf.
Zodiac designs could be a fun concept, with the constellations hidnest in the pelt design, or maybe they could glow like a pattern.
Avari based on real dog pelts, such as red/blue merle, akita, and brindle would also look cool.
Avari based on countries would be interesting xD
I also love the idea of element themed spirits, such as a oak tree sprite or a water or storm fairy. A lava spirit that hides in the depths of a volcano. A shadow fairy that wanders empty forests at night. A evil water sprite that lures other crstuff cheeksures into the water to drown them, like a siren. An Avari made partially out of marble or granite, and can stand still like a statue, or one dipped in gold so limbs are shiny.
Or on that has sat still for so long in a mine they have started to crystallize, with gems covering parts of their skin. Or ones that have stayed in a biome so long they begin to camoflauge like them. (Like a beach Avari that is covered in shells, or a swamp Avari that is covered in water weeds)
Avari that are based off butterflies or moths (not necessarily with wings, more like the vibrant wing colours and patterns. I'd also love to see more Avari with animal familiers, such as reptiles, small mammals (rabbits, squirrels) and birds (eagles, hawks, crows, robins) e.t.c
Avari that are covered with poisonous plants, such as nightshade, hemlock, belladonna, poison ivy, indian pea, english yew, white snakeroot, corncockle, flame lily, aconite and buckthorn.
Or Avari that have trees or food bushes growing on them, such as a weeping willow, tomatoor lemon tree, blackberry or blueberry bush.
