Each step creaks softly under your weight, metal slick with the last of the rain. Water drips rhythmically from overhead pipes, echoing in the enclosed space like a heartbeat. The faint meowing grows louder, softer, then steady.

At the bottom, the passage opens into a narrow under-alley, lined with forgotten crates and rusting bicycles. A broken dryer hums somewhere behind the laundromat wall, casting a low vibration through the stone. You almost miss her at first, blended so perfectly into the shadows.

But then she lifts her head.

Curled in a nest of damp cardboard and an old towel, a cinnamon tabby female watches you with a gaze that doesn’t flinch. Her fur clings to her in places, matted from the rain, but she holds herself with unshakable poise like a queen out of place.

You crouch slowly, hands visible, saying nothing. The air is still, save for the hum of city life filtering through the vents.

She narrows her eyes, then after awhile she trots up to meet your hand with her head.

Permission granted.

From behind a crate near her nest, something small shifts. A white kitten peeks out, ears too big for her head, paws hesitant on the slick concrete. She doesn’t cry out or rush forward, just watches you, the same way the cinnamon queen did.

It’s hard to say if the kitten is hers. There's no resemblance, no shared coloring. But there’s a bond. The cinnamon tabby doesn’t move to stop her… but she keeps one watchful eye on her the entire time.

You know, without question, that she won’t leave unless the kitten comes too.

And somehow, the kitten has already decided that you’re okay.

If you'd like to adopt the Queen the kitten will come with her (No extra charge as it is a randomly- but rarely rolled event <3)

Something catches your eye near the base of a toppled birdbath.

A flick of a tail.

She’s lounging like she owns the place which, judging by the way she regards you, she probably does.

She’s mostly white, her coat smooth but a little muddied by the wet ground. Her eyes are sharp yellow-green, narrowed in a way that says And who exactly are you supposed to be?

She doesn’t run.

She yawns.

When you take a cautious step forward, she stretches dramatically, then flicks her tail and turns her back to you like she’s already decided you’re boring. But just before she disappears into the ivy, she pauses and glances over her shoulder, eyes glittering.

You get the sense she’s giving you a choice.

Follow her… and prove you’re worth her time. (Following her will adopt her, continuing alone will find a different cat)

Moss covered outdoor furniture littered the cobble stones, invasive vines and fragrant flowers draped from the roof. As you walk around taking in all of the beauty you hear a scattering of paws, followed by a barely adult cat absolutely tearing behind a mouse.

The mouse escapes before the cat can catch it and she lets out an irritated chatter before turning her attention to you as if you were the reason for the escape and not her poor hunting skills!

She trots up to you meowing and chirping the whole way, she lets you pat her before playfully pawing at your hands with her claws sheathed.

Would you like to offer her a treat and take her home in exchange for "losing" her mouse?

As you trek deeper into the cave guided by a flashlight and the distant echoes of meows you start to wonder if you will ever find the source of the noises.

After quite some time you set your bag down to have a small break when you hear a very rhythmic dripping sound that seemed to be interrupted every few seconds. You make your way toward the sound and see in the distance a small kitten batting at the drops on her back.

When she see's you she jumps up, meowing and crying as she approaches. She seems hungry or lost but either way she seems to think you will help. Her coat is an unusal cinnamon calico but in the depths of the cave she just looks like a jumbled mix of spare parts!

You watch the sassy female disappear out of sight before making your way out, the same way you entered.

As you struggle to shut the old rusty gate you hear a meow from behind you, as if the culprit was laughing at you!

You turn around to see a golden tabby sat right behind you, watching you inquisitively as you wrestled with the gate.

Once the two of you lock eyes she stands up and rubs against your legs weaving in and out of them. Covering your pants in her golden fur.

She seems happy to go home with you, but independent enough to be left as well. Will you adopt her or continue?

The bicolored female gives you another once over, brushing up agaisnt your leg before pouncing away in the direction of her lost dinner. You hear her fooststeps get quiet, then finally a rustling in the bush before nothing.

You decide to enjoy the serene courtyard, taking a seat on one of the old picnic tables. The wood creaks slightly as you sit but it doesn't buckle, you're still careful not to move around too much.

As you unpack your lunch, a little nose appears across the table from you, then two big eyes and finally an entire head. A curious cat finally places her front paws onto the table and jumps up, she eyes you cautiously but her stomach takes over and she creeps closer to investigate your lunch.
