To be honest I'm curious as well since it isn't explicitly said. My guess was it was a political move, but that'd be difficult given the majority thus far dislike Súsán. So maybe it was more of a command ? He took over during her grieving period before she could recover and no one was able to truly object ? It could even be that someone tried to challenge him after he claimed what wasn't his and no one tried to challenge him afterward since he set a harsh example ? The possibilities are endless Spellbound said: I'm definitely wondering how he snatched the role from her , because she'd definitely be the first option to replace her brother. Maybe most thought that she wouldn't do well while she was grieving and decided someone else should lead temporarily and they ended up making him leader permanently? Space Man said: Ahh wolves who hate Súsán ! I wonder if that'd be a majority of the pack then considering the alpha lineage still has one living member who was denied her right. I'm certain throughout the roleplay he will only start to grow paranoid because of it all. He'd think everyone except for a select few are out to get him- and that'd likely change his opinion on the belief of traitors being a concept that could exist within the pack

Also, it could be that he had a mate - therefore it would've been stable with the two wolves leading rather than just one singular wolf + in addition she was grieving the loss of her brother . I can definitely see him using her grieving period to his advantage to get her birthright and then no one objecting because they wanted more stability with having both the Alpha Male & Female Position filled . And yeah definitely someone tried to defend her honor because he didn't properly challenge her for her title and just basically stole it but he silenced that pretty quickly Edited at April 2, 2024 12:39 AM by Spellbound

Ohh yes ! And then depending on whether or not the silencing was permanent it could further fuel a fear for wolves to not stand up while also simultaneously relying on the new pair for leadership until someone (possibly of Allouette's choosing) is capable enough to take back her birthright for her. That'd be interesting to see, especially if it's done during a time where Súsán is in a downward paranoid spiral and is unable to get proper rest and such
