"Yeah, she won't mind. Also, now that I'm thinking about it, you're not slurring any of your words, so, erm, I think that calls for another shot Alex." Skylar said, hesitantly grabbing the sweet liquor and another one to mix. He waited for Alex's response. "I did say I was gonna make you let loose, but hey, you can back out now." Skylar added. He smirked at Alex, wanting to kiss him. Maybe another shot or two would be enough to get Alex drunk drunk, but Sky truly didn't know.

Alex kept his gaze on Skylar as he listened to him answer his question. If his mom was seriously fine with him staying the night then he wasn't going to pass the offer up for two reasons, one it meant he didn't have to worry about his parents finding out he'd been drinking, and two he got to spend the night with Skylar. A win-win. At his comment, Alex narrowed his eyes playfully and shook his head. There was no way he was going to admit that along with walking, and standing, he was having to put in a great deal of conscious effort to not slur his words. "Something you should know about me Sky, is that I don't back out of something that I've started." He said with a smirk and a playful wink. "And if you promise to carry me when I can't walk, I'll take as many shots as you want me to." He added. In the morning he'd be horrified at what he was saying and doing, at how careless and positively reckless he was being, but in the moment.... In the moment he didn't care that his friends were in the other room, that he and Skylar weren't alone, and that they could easily be overheard or walked in on. He didn't care that he was smiling at the idea of Skylar carrying him, didn't care at how he was openly looking at the male in front of him with affection.

Sky rubbed his lips together, shaking his head slightly. "Okay, lets fucking do this then." Skylar said, pouring a line of shots for Alex. He did one with the really sweet liquor, a fruity one, and a mix of both. He then also made a row of shots for himself, but put a very low percentage of alcohol in all of them. "Here, you've gotta drink water too." Skylar said softly, grabbing a water bottle and setting it down in front of him. Skylar grabbed his first shot and downed it, quickly grabbing the next before doing the third. Sky then took a sip of his water, locking his eyes onto Alex. They definitely were leaving the house in an hour or so, maybe even earlier. These shots were most likely going to fuck Alex over, and if they didn't then Sky will be impressed.

The moment that Skyler began to pour a multitude of shots, Alex found himself regretting his earlier words. There was absolutely no way he wouldn't be fucked up after taking all of them. In fact, he found himself doubting he'd be able to stand let alone walk, and yet he had no intention of backing down. When Sky spoke Alex looked towards him and raised a brow before nodding. "Water... got it." He said. Instead of moving right away he stood still and watched as Skylar grabbed his first shot and downed it before quickly going down the line. He took note of how at the third shot he'd stopped to take a drink of water. Okay, so three and then water? He gave a slight nod as if to answer his own question before he moved to grab his first shot. Keeping his eyes locked onto Skylar he quickly threw it back and then did his second and his third. Mimicking what he'd seen from Sky, he stopped and took a long sip of his water. Already, he could feel the alcohol hitting his system in the way his body seemed to warm up, how his thoughts seemed to muddle together, and how he felt as though he was becoming a little sluggish.

Skylar was slightly impressed with how fast Alex took all 3 shots. His eyes widened, but he also winced a bit. Hopefully, Alex would be able to handle the alcohol and not throw up from drinking them all in a short period. "You good?" Skylar asked, letting his expression diminish. Sky didn't want to go back to the living room. Maybe they wont care if they stay in the kitchen, but if they do then it will be suspicious. Skylar didn't care for himself, but he cared for Alex. Maybe they should just go back for a bit before they leave. "Okay lets go chill with your friends for a bit before leaving." Skylar said quietly. He then made extra sure that none of his friends were making their way over to the kitchen before walking towards Alex. He quickly kissed him, craving the taste of his lips. He tasted like alcohol, but he didn't mind and was sure he did as well. Edited at June 16, 2025 04:29 AM by Get Jinxed

Not normally one for consuming large amounts of alcohol, Alex wasn't aware of how drinking so many shots too quickly could put him at risk of getting sick. So when he caught the look of surprise that Skylar gave him he raised a brow in confusion before giving a nod. "Yeah." He answered. "Why?" He asked after a moment of silence before he moved to take another sip of water. When Skylar said that they should rejoin his friends for a little before they headed out Alex gave a nod. Good idea, though he'd be lying if he said he wasn't incredibly tempted to simply remain here in the kitchen or bid his friends goodbye rather than rejoin them. Alex threw a glance at the empty shot glasses before he moved to take a step from the counter. "Good idea..." He said and let his gaze follow Skylar as he moved. For a moment he thought he was heading back to the living room and so took a step to follow after him. When instead though, Sky turned back toward him and then kissed him he paused, his eyes widening in surprise. If he'd been sober, if there hadn't been quite so much alcohol in his system he would have pushed Skylar away, hell he would have probably seen the kiss coming and dodged it. Instead, he shocked himself by kissing Sky back instead.

Sky smiled into the kiss, happy that Alex didn't try and fight it. The alcohol in Alex's system was winning, thanks to Sky. Pulling away, he chuckled before turning around and moving back to the living room. "Y'all we're heading out. I fear Alex will be too wasted in 30 minutes, so that will be a struggle." Skylar said to all of Alex's friends. He had changed his mind right after the kiss. He needed to be alone with Alex. Skylar didn't want Alex doing anything in front of his friends that he'd regret, so taking him back to his place was the best option.

Some part of Alex's brain, one so imprisoned within the confines of the alcohol he'd had, was hammering its warning bells as loudly as it could. Kissing Skylar here, when they weren't alone and could easily be walked in on, was a foolishly risky thing to do. He should have been panicking. He should have been pushing away in horror and fear. He should have been doing anything, everything but leaning into the kiss and returning it. Hell he shouldn't have felt so happy kissing Skylar in that moment, or disappointed when he pulled away. It was the alcohol, he told himself that had him groaning in mild irritation when the kiss was broken. He didn't want the kiss to end, in fact he wanted Skylar's mouth on his, to feel his hands roaming over his body. That desire should have sparked some alarm in Alex, but it didn't, or at the very least he wasn't aware of it. He remained still, not immediately moving to leave the kitchen and follow Sky when he headed back to the living room. There were a few reasons for that, but the main one was how he felt off balance, dizzy almost, and he wasn't doing anything but standing. Grabbing the newly opened can of tea he hadn't yet finished he took a long chug of it before he moved to tentatively start moving towards the living room. ~ Bev and the others looked up when Skylar returned and informed them that he was going to head out with Alex. Hearing that he was waisted she paused a moment and raised a brow. "Is he okay? He never drinks more than a glass or two." She said a hint of concern in her voice. Without fully realizing it she was moving to stand, wanting to check on Alex, who she noted hadn't come with Skylar from the kitchen. "Oh relax Bev." Roger said with a soft laugh. "From the sounds of it he's finally done what we've been begging him to do and let loose." He said. She'd paused at that and glanced toward Roger before shaking her head and moving to sit back down. "Okay..." She said after a moment of hesitation. "Do you guys want a ride?" Will asked with a raised brow. If Alex was drunk, or so close to being so wasted, the least he could do was offer him and Skylar a ride back.

Skylar's eyes fell onto Bev's movements. He then glanced back and to the kitchen, wondering where Alex was. Looking back, he shook his head in response to Wills question. "I got him, my house isnt far from here." Skylar said quietly. Skylar grew slightly impatient waiting for Alex, but instead of walking back towards the kitchen, he stayed put. As much as Sky would like to take Will's offer, he wanted to take Alex home himself. He thought about it a lot, and he was a bit torn between choosing. He ultimately wanted to be alone with Alex as soon as possible.

Will gave a slight nod at that and leaned back in his seat once again. His gaze flicked past Skylar when at last Alex emerged from the kitchen. He raised a brow before shaking his head. "I don't think 30 minutes was an accurate timetable." He said with a laugh as he turned his gaze back to Skylar. "Pretty sure he's already wasted." He said. Wasted was an understatement. Those last three shots he'd down so quickly had hit him hard. In such a short time Alex felt as though the world continued to tilt and lean in different directions, thank god that walls existed, otherwise he was pretty damn sure he'd be on the floor by now. He was somewhat aware of what was being discussed but his thoughts and attention were more on Skylar. When he finally reached his side he managed to straighten and find enough balance to stand next to him without toppling over, though perhaps that was solely because he wasn't trying to walk anymore.
