The sensation of Alex's fingers running through Sky's hair made him 10 times more sleepier. He loved it when someone played with his hair, but he would never admit it, and it was even better since that person was Alex. Sky's heart began to beat slightly faster, even though he was almost falling asleep. The feeling of Alex's hand in his hair made his whole body tingle, and it made a smile creep up on his face. He buried his face into Alex's neck, and the smile on his face grew bigger. He felt his cheeks get warm so he knew he was probably blushing. The feelings Sky had towards Alex only seemed to grow stronger and more intense. "As much as I hate to say this, we really cant lose track of time." Skylar began softly, looking up at Alex. "I would hate for you to get grounded." Skylar added.

Alex hadn't really known that he enjoyed playing with his partner's hair, that he enjoyed each touch and glance. All of this was so incredibly new to him and so incredibly precious. His smile grew as he felt Skylar bury his face into his neck, and chuckled softly. For a while longer his fingers continued their movements, running through and playing with Skylar's hair, only stopping when he heard Sky's voice. The smile he wore faltered though it didn't fade completely. Instead, he looked down, his blue hues locking with Skylar's green gaze and he gave a nod. "Me too." He said with a soft sigh. He lay there a moment before slowly pulling his hand back. "I will admit though that I almost hate the idea of having to leave more." He admitted softly as he continued to look at Skylar. ((So short! Sorry!))

Sky stared softly into Alex's eyes as he spoke. He slowly parted from him a bit, but not completely. Sky turned around and grabbed his phone before returning to face Alex. Once he unlocked and checked the time he groaned. "Fucking hell time flies, we gotta go." Skylar said as he slowly worked his way to get up. Getting out of Alex's grasp, he moved to sit on the edge of the bed. He scanned his bed and the floor to figure out where his shirt went. He found his shirt at the end of the bed. He grabbed it and put it on before getting up. He then looked over at Alex before walking towards his bedroom door. "Mom, I'm just dropping Alex off." Skylar said as he walked down the hall and passed the living room. "Okay." Danielle said looking up from the couch and giving a smile to both the boys. He grabbed the keys off the table and made his way to the front door. He put on his shoes and then opened the front door, walking out first. He walked a couple steps and then turned around, waiting for Alex. "I wasn't loud, was I?" Skylar asked once the door was closed.

Alex remained relaxed and content, soaking up and enjoying every second of this. As risky as it was to him, he also viewed it as an immense privilege. Not only to be with Skylar but to have his feelings both known and reciprocated. When Skylar pulled back to grab his phone, only to groan upon seeing the time, Alex's heart dropped and he frowned slightly. That old saying that time flies when you're having fun, couldn't have been more annoyingly accurate than it was in that moment. With a soft sigh, Alex moved to sit up, letting go of Skylar and allowing him to do the same as he did so. Getting up off the bed, Alex stretched slightly before taking a small step towards the door. He didn't move beyond that though and instead turned to wait for Skylar, watching as he grabbed and pulled on his shirt. When their eyes met, though briefly, Alex smiled warmly and then moved to follow Skylar out of the room and towards the front door. As they passed by Danielle, Alex slowed momentarily and gave her a slight nod. "Thanks for having me, Ms. Jones." He said and smiled at her before he moved to follow Skylar to and then out the front door. He stopped only long enough to slip his shoes on and then close the door behind himself. ` Drawing in a breath of the cool fresh air, Alex tossed a glance up towards the dark star-filled sky and smiled some before turning his gaze to Skylar. At his question, he paused, brow raising. "Loud?" He repeated momentarily confused before realization dawned on him. Cheeks flushing in a bright blush he looked away and cleared his throat. "I...I don't think so... at least not... too loud..." He managed, silently praying that Danielle hadn't heard anything.

Skylar's face grew red when he heard what Alex had answered to his question. "Let's just hope she heard nothing." Skylar said with a chuckle. He started to walk towards the truck, going to the driver's side. He shook his head to himself knowing damn well she heard, she probably heard one thing and turned the tv up or something. The relationship that Sky and Danielle had, was one where Sky could be himself, and not have to be embarrassed by those types of things. He knew if she did hear anything, she wouldn't bring it up at all or judge him for it. He opened the truck door and got in. He put on his seatbelt and started the truck. It was so dark out, and the sky was filled with stars, but Sky hadn't looked up at it yet.

It took several seconds for Alex to work up the nerve to look at Skylar again, and when he did he noted the reddened hue of his cheeks. Swallowing thickly he listened as he spoke, and to the following chuckle. The idea of anyone having heard worried Alex, made him feel panicked and fearful even. It was clear that despite what seemed to be a little embarrassment, Skylar wasn't all that concerned. That fact both confused and interested Alex, a combination of feelings he wasn't sure how to totally deal with. Moving around to the passenger side of the truck, Alex opened the door and climbed into the seat. Sitting back he buckled himself in and chewed at his lip. "You aren't... worried, about your mom knowing?" He asked softly and hesitantly after a few moments. He didn't want to upset Skylar with the question and yet found himself needing to know.

Sky turned to look at Alex when he asked a question. Noticing Alex's hesitance, he grew slightly worried about what was going on in his mind. "No, she won't care. Don't worry." Skylar said, his eyes lingering on Alex for a couple more seconds. Once Sky assured he was buckled he started to back up out of the driveway. "Even if she heard, she would never bring it up to any of us." Skylar assured, "She respects me and my privacy in that aspect of my life I guess." Sky then added. When he began driving forward, his eyes kept glancing between the sky ahead and the road. It truly was beautiful out. He threw a quick glance at Alex before putting his eyes on the road again.

Alex felt his heart skip a beat at the idea of Danielle having heard him and Skylar. Despite having seen how well Sky and his mother got along, and how good their relationship seemed to be, he couldn't shake the nervousness he felt. If she had heard them, would she think poorly of him? And what of Sky... he wouldn't get in trouble... would he? No sooner had such questions presented themselves in his mind did Skylar's voice cut through and pull Alex's focus to him once more. Listening as he spoke he gave a slight nod and bit at his bottom lip. Looking towards him, Alex took note of his nonchalant attitude and again how unbothered he was. It made him envious, if only slightly, that Skylar could rely and trust on his mom as much as he seemed to be able to. Obviously, Alex wouldn't dare even hint at the idea of his being gay with his parents, but nor would he hint or suggest that he'd slept or had fun with someone, boy or girl. Both his mother and father would likely be angry, disappointed, and upset at the idea of their perfect son giving in to physical pleasures. "Okay..." He said softly after a moment. Clearing his throat he looked away from Skylar and fixed his gaze on the road as Skylar began driving.

The drive was silent and quick, and Sky grew more anxious by the second. He had planned out something at the start of the day, but he didn't know if he was actually going to follow through with it. With the whole day being amazing, from the art museum to what happened at home, Sky knew it was right to ask. Even though he knew they probably wouldn't kiss, or even hug goodbye, he parked a couple of houses down just in case. Once the truck had stopped, he got out. He contemplated walking around the front of the truck to open his door but ultimately decided against it. He leaned against the truck door once he shut it and waited for Alex to get out. "Hey Alex." Skylar began as he built up the courage to say what he wanted to say. He brought a hand up to his head and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "How do I say this," Sky began slowly before groaning. He took a deep breath before opening his mouth again. "I want you to be my boyfriend. I know that's a lot and you don't have to answer right now." Sky said, looking at Alex for a moment before looking away. He was unsure if he should say more, and he was quite nervous after he confessed to wanting Alex and him to be official. "Just sleep on it." Sky said before quickly getting back into the truck. He was scared of getting rejected, so he felt like fleeing was the best option.

Alex wasn't sure he liked the silent and quick drive from Skylar's place to his own home. It wasn't anything like the calm, relaxing, and comfortable drive he'd had with Skylar earlier. Instead, it felt heavy, tense with apprehension, of his own making he was sure but still it was there. He couldn't fathom Skylar's mom not saying anything for one, but then going home after what had just transpired between him and the male driving the truck made him feel sick to his stomach. Not because he hadn't enjoyed it, but because he had, actually, far too much. Perhaps that was what scared him, the knowledge that he had experienced such strong emotions, and acted on them. There was little doubt in his mind that pretending to be normal would be all that much harder... what if his parents grew suspicious... what if they found out his secret? ` With his heart racing and being caught up in his own thoughts, Alex jumped slightly when he heard the door close. He hadn't even realized they had gotten to his place. Drawing in a deep breath and filling his lungs with air he forced himself to relax and sat up. He was quick to spot his house but also just as quick to notice that they were parked a few houses down from it. Furrowing his brow slightly he glanced towards Skylar, noting then that he was standing outside of the truck. Moving to unbuckle himself, Alex opened the door and slipped out of the truck. Closing it around himself he moved to stop towards the front of the truck so he could better see Skylar. Hearing his voice he lifted a brow as he looked over at him. "Yeah?" He asked softly, watching as Skylar seemed to struggle to put the words together. He honestly wasn't sure what he expected Skylar to say. Maybe he'd tell him that today had been fun? That he'd enjoyed their date or that the movie had been enjoyable? What he didn't expect was for Skylar to confess that he wanted him to be his boyfriend and for this relationship of theirs to have an official title to it. ` It felt like everything had stopped, the world, his heart... everything. All Alex could do was stare at Skylar dumbfounded. His boyfriend? The very notion thrilled and horrified Alex. What did that mean? Though still struggling to try and wrap his mind around the confession, to come to terms with what he'd just heard, Alex was yanked from his stupor when he heard Skylar quickly tell him to sleep on it. Realizing then that his lips were parted in surprise and his cheeks were beet red, and becoming aware of how his heart hadn't stopped but rather had jumped into a wild and frantic rhythm, he shook his head slightly. It wasn't a rejection, he hadn't even thought of rejecting him, which surprised Alex. Rather he'd been more concerned with what and how exactly an official title like that would change their relationship. "Skyl-" He started but was cut off by Sky hurriedly getting back into the truck. For a second he was still before he stepped back toward the passenger door and lifted a hand to lightly knock on the window.
