Avalon | 5 | Oak Tribe| Lieutenant | M: Breeze, Naruto (ref), Frodo Avalon nodded his head in understanding when Breeze answered him. He frowned when she mentioned her planned patrol later. He was uncomfortable that it was only her and Naruto. Two dogs wasn’t an amount that he liked. He’d prefer three dogs, at least. However, she was alpha but his respect for her wasn’t over throttled by his paranoia that they might be ambushed, whether by Ash or a rogue. Not that he expected the two to be over thrown, they were quite capable. He would rather have it on the safe side. “I am going on this patrol, which should leave soon.” He looked back at the hopefully forming patrol. “Your evening patrol with Naruto, would you mind if I tagged along?” He asked and quickly added in when he remembered their passing looks. He didn’t want her to get the wrong idea. “Just as a precaution, I don’t want our leader to get injured by a rogue or Ash warrior or maybe even warriors. They could attack in retaliation.” He looked at her squarely in the eye. “I know you and Naruto have a, uh, thing going on,” he felt slightly embarrassed for mentioning it and he hoped that they were close enough to talk about it. “So I’ll stay slightly behind you, so that you can have your, uh, privacy.” He felt his fur heat up some from the awkwardness and he regretted bringing up her relationship with Naruto. So he looked around camp while she was still answering. He noticed Frodo, a small male. He had forgotten about him and felt guilty. Yes, Frodo was getting up in the years, but he wasn’t yet retired. Avalon was a bit ashamed of himself for already thinking him as an elder. I’ll have to apologize to him after I’m finished talking to Alpha. He’d probably be on patrol.

Frodo || Oak Warrior || 9 Years || M: Avalon, Breeze (Ref), Mora, Sage (Ref), Night (Ref), Nymph Waking up early was no easy feat for the older male. First, it was his age. The older he got, the more rest he needed for his body to function. Second came his joints. They often gave him discomfort throughout the day, but they especially caused him pain in the mornings. Standing up was becoming a task, as was walking. Thank the Ancestors his sister was a Shaman. He’s not sure what he’d do without her. Having finally gained the will to stand, Frodo made his way outside the den. Though, by the time he had entered the camp’s clearing it occurred to him that he had missed the announcement of the day’s patrols. It appeared as though he was not chosen for one, either. Not that he minded. Just gives him more of an excuse to get some rest. Besides, it may not be the best idea for a dog of his age and health to leave the camp after the death of that one Ash juvenile. Night, was it? He couldn’t recall. Then again, he didn’t wish for his services to go to waste. Not far from where he came from, Avalon and Breeze seemed to be holding a conversion. Likely about today’s patrols, the fawn and black mutt thought. The rottweiler mix begins to look around during their conversation, spotting the small male. However, said smaller male pays him no mind, padding up to his sister. As the aging male walked up to his sister, an Oak Warrior, Nymph walked away. He gave her a greeting before continuing to stride up to his half sister. Oddly enough, her apprentice, Sage, was nowhere to be found. Though, he held little worry. He doubted she would leave camp alone after the recent events. He sat on his hunches and grinned, his mustache like lips curling up. “Mornin’ Sis! I assume ya know wha’ I’m here ta ask ya fer?” Edited at March 1, 2022 10:26 PM by High Hills Pack

Breeze / 6 / Female / Oak Tribe / Alpha She saw his frown, then she found herself chuckling, despite the clearly worried look etched on the dog's face. "Of course, I wish you good patrolling, and I hope you and your group stay safe in these times." Her chuckle turned into a laughas she saw the embarrassed look on her Lieutenant's face. "Of course you may join us! I appreciate your concern, but yes, I believe that Naruto and I would enjoy some privacy for parts of it, thank you." There was a spark in her eyes and she blinked and swished her tail in thanks to Avalon. "You had better go and sort those dogs out." She said, glancing over at her warriors, who were trying to form patrols at the entrance to the camp. She heard pawsteps over by the Shaman's den, and she spotted Frodo, his joints looking as sore and as worn as ever, walking over to where his sister, Mora's den was. She smiled at the old dog as he went into the den, admiring the fact that, despite his ailments, he was still determined as ever. She looked at her paws, before glancing up and trying to catch Naruto's eye before he left for patrols. Scanning the area, she soon saw the large dog. Her heart fluttered as she padded over to him, wanting to let him know that Avalon would be trailing their patrol for safety reasons, but that they would still be able to talk.

Avalon | 5 | Oak Tribe| Lieutenant | M: Breeze, Frodo Avalon was relieved that Breeze allowed him to tag along and that she seemed to be amused by him. When she mentioned the warriors, he nodded his head quickly and agreed. They did look sort of pathetic. He’d get to them in a moment. He looked back at Frodo and saw how he didn’t look his finest. However, he felt that perhaps the older male might be upset that he wasn’t assigned a role. He was still a warrior. Avalon took a deep breath before approaching him. He didn’t want to offend him in anyway, but he wasn’t sure exactly how to word it. As he went along, he began to recite how he could. Finally he settled on something short and to a point. “Frodo,” He began, “I’m sorry for not assigning you a role yet. The patrols are yet to leave if you want to join one. I believe that there will also be another hunt and patrol later on in the day as well if you’d rather join those.” He planned on having an evening patrol after the small three-dog one. A hunt would happen during Breeze’s because he felt that the night would bring on too many ungodly creatures. The latest patrol would just be returning home in time for dinner. He’d run this by the Alpha when they return from the morning patrol. He was sure she’d agree.

Kyanite|F|1 Month|Ash|Pup Kyanite opened her eyes slowly, letting them adjust to the light. She heard the alpha talk about some night before closing her eyes once more. She then heard a few yips and Kya opened her eyes once more. Her cousins, River and Alder were having a wrestling fight. Kya stood up, wobbling at first. She stretched out her front legs, bowing down until she fell. Standing up once more, she noticed her sister, Tanzanite. She seemed to be trying to sleep. Kya's gaze then drifted back to her cousins. She kept watching them, noting all of their moves. She would need this later in life and she'd need to learn from others. Kya then sneezed, spooking herself. She fell backward landing beside a flower. "Wow," Kya whispered. "it's beautiful!" she said, smelling it. Then, a flying creature caught her eye. A butterfly. Kya jumped up to play ut it flew away. Kya trotted toward it, tripping a bit. She was still getting used to using her little puppy legs. Kya followed the butterfly to another flower. Kya remembered her cousins' movements and tried to copy them. Kya laid on the ground, inching closer to the insect. She then jumped, trying to catch the butterfly. She missed and got a faceful of grass. Watching the insect fly away, Kya stood, disappointed. She walked back to her mom and sister. She spun three times and laid down on the cool grass. She looked around at everyone, wondering what the alpha's speech was about. Kya then closed her eyes and started to drift off into sleep. Edited at March 2, 2022 10:14 PM by The Midnight Wolves

Chinook || 5 || Ash Tribe Alpha || M: Cirrus, Rue, Crow The dog had become momentarily lost in thought once more, but his reverie was broken as Cirrus, one of the larger tribe members, approached with Rue trailing behind. As Cirrus proposed he and Rue join a hunt, Chinook tilted his head slightly and narrowed his eyes in thought. He had wanted the patrol to leave first, but a morning hunt would be beneficial. The mothers, pups, Bryn, and those chosen for the first patrol could eat beforehand, thus keeping up strength for what surely lay ahead. He turned his gaze back to the two dogs in front of him and nodded, half to himself. Chinook exhaled slowly and said, "Very well. I will join you; we will leave as soon as you are ready. I want to get back before the first patrol leaves." His cold, stony exterior broke for a short moment as he offered a slim smile to the two. Rue had been distant lately, or at least he felt it was so. Perhaps it was him, really, but whoever was threatening them now was taking all his spare time. He had little leisure to spend talking with friends. Perhaps this hunt would be a good excuse to become social again, if even for little more than half an hour.

Mora/Oak/Shaman/Female Mora looked up to see her brother and said "Yes can you lay down in my den and wait a few minutes I need to get the herbs you need and I can't find Sage anywhere." Mora looked at her brother and said " It should only take me about 5-8 minutes." when she had finished talking she turned and headed out of the den. She walked to the entrance of camp. Mora walked out of camp but stayed close enough in case someone need her. Mora continued to forge for about 10 minutes and finally found them but she spotted something. She couldn't tell if it was a Fox or another Dog. Mora looked at it and growled but she knew she wasn't made for fighting. She howled in alarm as the animal landed on her. She finally saw what it was and thought Damn foxs. Mora tried to keep out of the Fox's bite range but it was becoming diffucult. She growled and tried to push the Fox off but had no success. All she could do was hope for help to come she howled agian.

Cawls | 2.5 | Oak Tribe | Warrior | M: Mora Cawls had been sitting there, loyally. He had been waiting patiently for the patrol to start and had lazily started to scratch an itch when his odd, crooked ears heard a howl of distress. He looked around camp and it seemed that everyone else was busy talking. He cocked his head in curiosity and trotted towards the sound of the noise. The patrol didn’t look like it was going to move any time soon. The noise led him alongside of the camp. It was close enough for a brisk walk but far enough for some daring animals to stir trouble. As the shouts grew louder, he quickened his speed. He could smell their shaman’s scent and realized that it was her who was calling out. His little legs kicked up the dust and all insecurity about his physic were forgotten. Something almost heroic and noble bounded out in his mind; a courageous mind set and a dutiful spirit. He rushed over a hill when he saw a red fox on top of the little female. The valiant spark of dauntless fire flickered when a wind of self doubt passed by. He remembered that he was but a little dog. That he was the one who always sat whenever foreign dogs were around. That he was the one who was always rolls over in a fight. The rapid pattern of his stubby legs slowed down as these thoughts shook his confidence. He realized that he had been running hard and was tired, exhausted and he wanted to dig a hole to lie in. Over his hassling, he heard the fox snarl. He looked back over at Mora’s helpless state. He gritted his teeth. He didn’t plan on dying today or fighting, really. But a dog’s a dog and a dog who isn’t loyal is a cat, or worse, a fox. So he charged. His stocky legs moved in such a speed that you couldn’t see his legs. They were muddled with the green field’s grass. He was a blur. He was a bullet. He was a bungee-cord. His fuzzy tail being a war flag and his mouth was drawn with his fangs ready for blood. His mind was thoughtless and all he could think of was how he was going to shove the big, hairy vermin off of the shaman. Other than that, he wasn’t sure of what to do. But he wasn’t going to let his mind wander that far. He sprang up like a bunny and opened his mouth to seize a bundle of thick fox fur and skin. His compact body landed squarely in the predator’s side, knocking the creature off of her. To his surprise, Cawls landed on top. His teeth embedded in the fox’s dirty scruff; he tried to even out his weight so that the animal would have a difficult time rising. From the corners of his mouth, he growled savagely in the fiercest way he could. “Run!” He muttered loudly to Mora from his mouthful of the fox. He would’ve told her to get reinforcements, but he was having trouble keeping the flailing fox down. He did pray that she would run and she would go as fast as her wee legs could. He also hoped that she’d call for back up before his was mauled to pieces.
