Atticus He felt a growing pit within his stomach settle deeper, as the all to well known itch of guilt began to take hold. He didn't want to have this conversation with Amara, but it was necessary. The Winds had whispered words of warning long before, it was now or never. As much as it pained him to add to his sister's burdens, ignorance could kill. Damn the political nonsense. This whole ball was only to force her into an impossible situation, wasn't it? "Mother and Father expecting something of this stature from you - It might just be their last if us brothers have anything to say about it, little sister. I don't know what, but Arion, Anubis, and I will surely think of something... We are crafty, you know this!", he said reassuringly as he placed a hand on her shoulder. He offered a smile, and Vhagar crowed annoyingly, her hunger obvious. "I have to feed this one", he said curtly. Her words on a potential change of the line of succession caught his attention but such an unprecedented idea was unheard of in history, all he could do in that moment was nod and turn away with a perplexed expression. "The youngest as heir, wouldn't that be something...", he said truly puzzled. The idea honestly peaked his interest, besides - "...I think you'd certainly be a better heir than Arion", he said as he left the stables to feed his raven. Once the light of the courtyard met his eyes, he waved a simple goodbye, a slight smile on his face.

Liana had falling asleep on the bench while waiting for the hummingbirds. She woke to the sound of them singing, though she knew they werent actually singing. She watched as they went to the feeder, drank the flower nectar and landed on a branch to rest. She watched as chickadee's and goldfinch's arrive, frightening away the delicate bird's. She watched the small bird's, feed from the feeders. With a smile, she stood and put her hand out for a young chickadee. It hop's to her hand and watches her, it's little head tilted slightly. Indeed it would be a good day.

Matt watched as the guard's came, as each of them fell. How many will come? He looked at Hope, then at Kai seeing distress and amusement. Will we make it out alive? He swung the knive's toward's a guard who was approaching more then the other's, and the guard jumped back. Matt watched carefuly as they were being surrounded. All this for a bit of stealing? He knew otherwise, since they were known as the kidnapper's. The guard's caught on, but the kidnapper's always get away. Would we get away this time?

Hope growled, lifting her rapier, before spotting a large thing, almost like an egg, but sort of.....scaly? in the belt of the lead guard, and she quickly slashed the man's arm, making him not notice as she took the egg from his belt until it was too late. She looked at it, not knowing what it was. She suddenly felt a cold, crisp wind followed by a wave of heat. She looked up to see the guards drop their weapons and flee at the sight of a young man coming towards them. He had scarlet hair that fell slightly into his heterochromic eyes. He was dressed like royalty, and had an icy blue left eye and a fiery amber right eye. On his left, frost spread out from where he stepped, spreading across the ground in a thin layer, and on his right, plants shriveled as if they had been out in the heat for too long, and the grass turned dry, the air shimmering. The stranger passed them by, only sparing them one, heart chilling glance before disappearing down the now empty streets, except for the fearful person or two.

Matt saw everything happen in slow-motion, as though someone slowed time. Hope seemed fixed on the lead guard's belt. What's is she so fascinated by? He shook his head quickly, though it felt like he was slowly moving. He tilted his head as the lead guard's arm was slashed, allowing him a view of the guard's belt. There he saw the object of Hope's fascination. An egg? Surely she isnt crazy. There must be a reason. He made a mental note to ask her later, though he wasnt quite looking foward to it. Matt studied it beside her, mortified as to what she would do. Brr, some wind. He was about to wrap his arm's as a wave of heat washed over him. Hm, something isnt right. He looked up to see the guard's gone, theyre weapon's abandoned on the ground. What? Who or what could scare them like that? He focused on a young man approaching them. The scarlet hair seemed metallic in the sun. He sccrutinized the man's face. His heterochromic eye's met his for a second, and Matt cringed internally. Creepy, almost scary. He thought as the stranger, dressed like royalty countinued his passage. Matt seemed fascinated as the frost followdd and the plant's died, though he was more interested about the man. As the man left, with a heart chilling glance, Matt turned to watch him leave. What a strange yet intruiging man. When he could see no more of the man Matt turned to look at Hope and Kai. " Who was that? " He asked, his voice betraying his calm stance.

Hope cradled the egg, intending to go back to camp and find her old book on the creatures of the kingdoms, to try and figure out what it was. She slipped it into an inside pocket of her cloak, which would keep it warm, being closer to her. She looked over at Matt. "I've only heard of one person like that. Prince Erisdar. Known as the Song of Fire and Ice. For obvious reasons." she said as she went around collecting the guards' weapons. The more there were for their group, the better. She felt the egg shake slightly as it felt the cold atmosphere, and she tugged the cloak further around it. She knew Matt had seen it, and looked over at him. "Know anything about creatures?" she asked, wondering if he could identify what the egg was when they got out of the cold that the egg clearly didn't appreciate. A cloud covered the sun, casting it into shadow, and she felt the egg grow warm, until the sun came out again, and the egg cooled down. 'How strange....' she thought, hearing panting behind her as her large panther ran over, having felt something was wrong. She reached out and rubbed Nox's head, and he closed his large amethyst eyes with a rumbling purr.

Matt listened with interest, eager to know. Prince Erisdar? Would explain the royal like clothing. I wouldnt think he was royal if i hadnt been told. He tilted his head as he thought. Matt helped her collect the weapon's, glancing at the few remaining people. as he startened himself once more, he noticed her. He nodded . " I know plenty. I have a book back at camp." He said, strathening his jacket. " Spealing of camp, it'll be much warmer there. " He said, with a shivere. He looked one last time at the frosty, shriveled aatmosphere and turned to leave. " You coming Kai? " She seem's almost... distracted.

Hope nodded. "I'll need your help then." she said, then looked at Kai. "Is she alright?" she asked, wondering what was wrong with her. She sighed. Just then, a bird swooped close to her head, and Hope ducked down, only for the bird to be caught in the jaws of Nox. Hope yelped. "No, Nox!" she said, and Nox dropped the bird. She gently picked up the bird, noticing Nox had hurt its wing, and she cradled it. It had deep scarlet red feathers, bright golden feathers on the tips of its wings and tail, and a pale gold chest. The longer feathers on its head had small black streaks as well. Erisdar turned, hearing the loud cry of his phoenix, Ignis, but she sounded like she was in pain. "Ignis!" he said, clearly alarmed. He quickly ran back and saw the girl who had been fighting the guards with Ignis in her arms. He raised one eyebrow slightly, before he straightened up and looked at Hope, the look making her flinch away slightly, tightening her hold on the rapier. Ignis gave a small chirping noise. "May I have her back, please?" he said, and Hope handed her to him, backing up, hand still tight around her rapier. Nox gave a small snarl, his ears going back, tail lashing, but Hope calmed him slightly by placing a hand on his back. Eris raised his hand over Ignis and a soft green glow emanated from his hand as he placed it on the wounds on her chest and right wing. They healed themselves, the blood fading away and the wounds sealing themselves. He looked up, looking a bit more tired than before, and the phoenix fluttered to his shoulder. "Thank you." he said, and flicked a small snowflake from his left hand at Nox, who was still growling, and it landed for a brief second on his nose before melting, he tried to lick it off, and it hard to keep growling while doing that, so he abandoned his intimidating posture to try and lick the irritating water off of his nose. Eris ran his eyes over the small group again, before walking away. He knew who they were, and he knew it wouldn't be any help to him if he was seen socializing with them.

Matt nodded and looked at Kai again. " Im not sure... Maybe she's tired." Matt went to warn her of the bird, but hadnt had the chance. He ducked, clearly alarmed. A phoenix... Quite the creature. Matt straightened himself, embarrased. He noticed Nox handing the bird to Hope. " Be carefull. It's a phoenix. " He looked past Hope to the approaching Prince. Matt scowled, not appreciating the company. Guy most be the caretaker of this bird. He knew it was best he kept silent, or he would come off as someone suspicious. Matt turned slightly, keeping his gaze on the man. For him to not attack is quite the feat. Matt's heart started racing as he noticed the wound's heal. Ive seen those power's before... But from where? Matt flinched as the man spoke, clearly not expecting the gentleness in his words. Thank you? Since when. He shook his head as he thought about the complexity of the situation. A prince thanking them? That was unusual. Matt watched as Nox tried licking the snowflake, anxious. What repercussions could follow? When he looked again, he knew the man had left. He shook his head as he thought and knew a migraine was coming. "We shoukd leave, before the guard's come back."

Hope nodded, eyes lingering after the strange prince. 'That was weird.....' she thought, then looked to Nox. "Could you try to be a bit more intimidating?" she asked with a chuckle, then stopped and turned it into a cough. It had been a while since she'd laughed, and it felt weird, even if it wasn't a full laugh. She patted the panther's shoulder, and he crouched down, allowing her to climb on. She looked down at Matt. It would take a while to get out of the extreme cold and heat that the prince had spread throughout the village. "You want a ride or you gonna walk?" she asked, Nox still crouched down to let any additional riders onto his back.
