Once they shadow-blinked inside it was a little less of a weird feeling, now that he know what it felt like. "Goodnight I guess." Kai said as he started walking to his door, not letting go of infernos hand till he had to. He opened his door and hopped in bed. fuck my hoodie, it's whatever. He took off his shirt and got under the covers. He soon dozed off, thinking about that night.

Inferno was about to walk into her room before her mind flashed to a sketchbook she had left in the library. She silently cursed under her breath and quickly shadow-blinked to the library to retrieve it.

The sketchbook wasn't anything special, other than being fire-proof and having a bunch of drawings and sketches and notes on different species of supernaturals.

She didn't really want anyone finding it, as she was pretty protective of herself, so she wandered around the library until she found the sketchbook. Putting it into the pocket of the hoodie she was wearing, she realized she was still wearing Kai's sweatshirt. I'll give it back to him tomorrow. She thought.

She tried to Shadow-blink back to her room, but she couldn't. Must be the curfew rules. It's past midnight now, so no magic allowed after that time, I guess. She sneaked out of the library and had to go past the Headmistresses office. She stopped when she heard panicked voices in the office.

"Headmisstriss, please, we have to do something!"

"We can't do anything. Leave it. We can only watch the students closely."

"What if another student is killed? Another injured? Something killed that griffin this afternoon."

The voices remained silent, and Inferno drifted off into the shadows, rushing up to her dorm. She has to tell Kai!

Kai was slowing falling in and out of sleep. He was thinking about food, but also Inferno. She might not be that bad, she is pretty. He jolted up to a knock on his door. "WHAT." He said grumply. It was inferno. He got up and opened the door. Why was she wanting in, I thought we both were going to sleep. He thought to himself. "What is it." Kai asked yawning.

Inferno burst into the room, her breath shaky.

"Something's going on." She gasped, fighting to get air in her lungs. "I-I forgot my book in the library, so I tried to shadow-blink in and out to grab it. I managed to shadow-blink in, but I couldn't out, so I snuck out of the library. I had to pass the Headmistress's office to get to our dorms, but I heard a conversation that was being held. A teacher, I don't know which one, sounded frantic."

Taking a deep breath, she looked him dead in the eyes. "Something killed a griffin earlier today, sometime when we were studying, and injured another student. They don't know who or what it was."

He looked at her suprised as he listened to her panic. "Hey hey, calm down." Kai said softly as he put his hand on her cheek, tilting her head up so she could look at him. "It definitely wasn't us, we were studying." he said as he took his hand off her cheek. He looked at her with the slightest bit of worry in his eyes from what she has told him.

Inferno tried to calm her racing heart and her shallow breathing, her mind running miles around her as she tried to figure everything out.

"I know," She said, finally being about to talk without having to gasp out her words. "That's why I came to you. I know I can trust you." She leaned into him, a wave of exhaustion crashing over her.

It happened quite often when she paniked, and it was probably doubled by the fact that she had blinked quite a lot that day.

"woah." He quietly said as she leaned on him. He put his hands on her waist supporting her a bit. " You okay." He asked looking down at her. His heart begining to race a bit as he grew flustered. He smiled as he gripped her waist a little.

"Sorry, I'm just tired." She muttered, trying to get stable on her own two feet. She felt herself swaying a little bit, and her vision was spinning and blurring, causing her to blink a lot and shaking her head to clear her vision.

"here sit down." Kai said as he still held her by her waist, helping her move to sit down on his bed. "Here." Kai softly said as he let her go, standing back up. "Uh do you need anything?" He asked nervously.

Inferno sat down on his bed, putting her head in her hands as shivers raked down her body. She pulled the hoodie around her tighter, closing her eyes as she tried to stay awake.

"No...no I'm fine." She said. "Just tired."
