Joel Yorick [] 489 [] Neutral [] Magic User [] He/Him [] M: Amy Joel was on the verge of leaving the rather unsettling scene without a hitch, but he knew things would snag somewhere. With his luck... "Hey! What are you doing here?". He paused for a moment, his back turned from the speaker. His face contorted for several moments, 'A voice, in this terrible place?'. His expression settled on unimpressed and partially annoyed, as his blue eyes settled on a young women. 'A child. Her life force screams of youth', he mentally corrected. His eyes lazily scanned the girl, a brunette. She had rather abnormal green-blue eyes and icy blue bat-like wings... Demon. 'What in the nine hells is she doing here?', he mentally questioned. Demons had notoriety for being dark creatures, ironic given their Factions name in the War... Despite that, the location he was in was saturated in negative energy. Had it possibly called her here? Maybe... But that was a stretch. He wouldn't risk that, especially during an investigation. This was all buisness. Choosing to ignore the blatant fact the Girl was a Demon, as is duty of all Magic Users, he awnsered with little hesitation. "Child. This is an official investigation, which might I add you are interfering with...", he replied neutrally yet the authority in his voice was palpable. He gestured towards the girl, silently asking her to step forward. "... Now, can you tell me what you're doing here?". Edited at May 24, 2022 07:28 PM by Kaiserreich

Amy Dagon||Demon||Female||Dark||18||M:Joel Amy looked at him and said "Eh I guess curiosity got the best of me agian." She sighed and looked around it seemed pretty deserted which was a surprise to her. Amy walked towards the man but before she reached him she notice energy behind her. She took out her daggers and it was a easy kill but sadly it was a rouge vampire. She shook her head and sighed. Amy said "I swear that was a dumb ass move." Amy put her daggers back and continued towards Joel. She said "My name is Amy." She walked passed Joel and turned on her heel. Amy looked around and said out loud but to herself "It saleems that every place on the news has the same setup I believe it could be one vamp but what if two where working together...I guess it could be a possibility." ____________________ Diana||She/Her||Siren||Dark||Female||21||M:Jake Diana was looking at the food and finally found something. She walked over to the table and sat down. She didn't know how long she could go without using her voice. She was use to it anyways. Amy said *I found something so I'm here.* She stared at him the takes a bite of the food per usual. Diana looked at Jake and said *So how has life been treating you?* She knew most people tend to go crazy after finding out the fairytales are real even tho half of them arent.

Faye Dupont-Kim | 25 | She/Her | Sorceress | Neutral | Mentions Amy Indirectly Faye’s mother and father had a fun little way of killing her inspiration. She would need to finish this last chapter at some point today, but now was not the moment. She shook her head as she walked. Perhaps she could reclaim it somehow and get her plan somewhat more on-track. She was close, she just needed to force out the last few pages. With that thought in mind, she made a quick turn into the nearest park, darting across the street and onto a stone pathway between areas of grassy expanse. She wandered towards the river, attempting to get her mind back to a more creative headspace. It wasn’t much of a pretty sight –she didn’t come to this city for the beautiful nature, after all– but it was something new to stare at while she let her mind wander. She followed the river for a short while, allowing herself to think about whatever came to mind. This mental wandering led to a strange feeling of presence. Like something was trying to get her attention. Intrigued, she followed the feeling, as it took her down the river towards the bridge. That brought her to an intriguing sight. Bright blue…wings? Demonic wings, to be specific. That could mean trouble. She kept her distance, but eyed the demon woman carefully. She couldn’t quite tell from here what was going on, but she had found in her time that trouble almost always followed mystics, particularly when they were at war with other mystics. That trouble intrigued her, though, so, rather than doing the smart thing and walking away, she approached cautiously. In an attempt to seem a bit more casual, she stepped away from her path walking along the river and found a tree to lean on. She slipped her phone from her bag and held it close to her face, though her gaze flicked between it and the demon under the bridge. Said looking at her phone brought three things to her attention. One, she had received another call and a voicemail from her parents in her ignoring of her phone. Two, she had gotten a message from her editor offering an extension on the date he wanted her finished chapters due to an illness. And, three, she had recieved a news alert informing her that there had been a rather grisly murder in the same park she was currently in very morning. Oh. Well then.

His lips open and in a soft tone he replys+ "Life has been well great I guess besides almost being eaten by a vampire yesterday...tell me are angels as beautiful as other creatures describe them or are they ugly creatures with halos, to be honest, you are the only one that actually likes hanging around humans" . +He quickly finishes his drink and food as he waits for the female to reply, looking out the window once again, the kids not walking with their parents so he turns his head back towards the female+ "We really should get you somewhere were you can use you voice and not kill me in the progress" +He giggles at the joke he tried to make+

Vincenzo(Vinnie) Q. Ellis | Male | Merfolk Prince | Neutral | M: Diana, Jake (ind.) Strange. Vinnie tilted his head just slightly to the side, jade eyes narrowed in blatant confusion as the Siren walked off... with some human? At least he looked like just a regular human. With this confusion, he followed at a good distance, only really entering the shop behind the two with a good five or so minutes between them. He managed to order what little he could and took a seat somewhat at a respectable distance--hopefully not too suspicious at least. A pastry... and water. Duh. The questions the male asked were strange and... almost knowing. He knew too much it seemed. Kids? Vinnie wrinkled his nose and shook his head, taking a nibbling bite of his pastry. Kids were disgusting--at least human kids. But he began pestering her about angels and making some blatant comment about the Siren being the only one who hung around humans? Vinnie nearly snorted into his drink. Sirens only hung around those they would kill later. Not that he had any experience with that, no. The attempt at a giggled joke definitely made Vinnie's eyebrow raise. It was more suspicious of a sentence than anything else. Somewhere she could 'use her voice' and not kill him? That meant somewhere without water. A weakness. But, Vinnie surprisingly didn't care. He could lure the Siren out and either take himself out or her. Whatever worked best. He turned back to his pastry and nibbled idly. ________________________________________ Ileum | Angel | Female | Light | M: Amy, Joel The flash of brilliant blue wings caught her own sapphire eyes, drifting over the city buildings. Demon. Reckless? Absolutely. Ileum dropped down, plummeting through the air and landed between the demon and whatever was behind her now. Her own feathered wings splayed out, towering over the demon. Height wise, they seemed almost the same--barring the fact that Ileum's height came mainly from her legs. Speaking of which, her foot lifted, kicking one dagger from her hand with practiced ease and proceeded to use said dagger to parry the other attack. It was then that she noticed Joel and realized that maybe, just maybe, she might've gotten herself into something a little bit bigger than she thought. Either way, she straightened her spine, still holding the dagger in one hand. Ileum shook her feathers out, glaring hard at the demon. "Back off," her voice was short, curt and straight to the point. "Whatever is going on here, isn't for you. I'd say it's not good manners to fight other's battles, but demons don't have manners." Her lip curled just slightly, the faintest slide of a sneer. "So, kindly, get out of here."

Amy Dagon||Demon||Female||Dark||18||M:Joel/Ileum Amy saw the angel land and said "Jeez uptight much we were just talking." Amy moved out of Ileum way when she pointed the dagger at her trying to get a better view of Joel. Amy sighed and said "Anyways what were you going to say before she rudely landed interrupting." Amy hated the stereo type that demons didn't have manners. She folded her wings around her trying to keep them out of Ileum's way. She wasn't starting anything alone especially since she promised her brother something. Amy looked around spotting another person on the bridge but didn't pay much attention to it. She walked under the bridge and leaned up against the wall of it. She found angels irritating but she will try a tolerate since she didn't want to start anything. She lifted her foot up rubbing her leg. She watched the angel out of the corner of her eye but kept her focuse on Joel. Edited at May 25, 2022 01:23 PM by Icewing

Finnegan Allsbrook | 24 | They/Them | Owl Therinthropy | Neutral | M: Sliver, Open Finn spooked as the angel landed next to them, fluttering away a few feet. Honestly, angels, always so nosey. This one didn't even seem certain they were anything more than a normal owl. That in mind, Finn fixed her with their deepest glare. They couldn't exactly shift up here, considering they weren't invisible to the people on the street below, and they needed to stay perched on the edge to keep watch for their contacts. Hopefully, this angel would either leave them be, or make herself useful. Edited at May 31, 2022 02:52 PM by Moonlit Rose

Joel Yorick [] 489 [] Neutral [] Magic User [] He/Him [] M: Ileum, and Amy; Open Joel simply pitied himself at this point. No one these days ever seemed to respect the Statutes of Secrecy now and days. An Angel had landed within the Haunted section of the rundown park, a Youth with dark hair, wild in grooming and cut short. Her wings were a icy blue much like the Demon's own yet covered in feathers, and her eyes were like that of smokey water, a cool blue eye there was whisks of grey... And she was flying out in the open. 'Damned new generation, always needs to change things', he mentally grumbled. It was a common trend for each generation to try and differentiate itself from its predecessors... It seemed this time around it was a lack of subtlety. Forget the blasted war, Kids these days were just foolish. "Oh, why me?", Joel muttered as he pintched his nose in irritation as the Angel began to demand things of the Demon, only for said Demon to fire back in kind. Not only were their peoples mortal enemies, but they both seemed to be volatile brats. Anything he'd say would and could definitely just be tossed to the wind in favor of their own emotions... What was that saying that Mundanes had? Fuck my life. He eyed both girls down for a moment with an annoyed frown once the exchange seemed to be over. "Both of you better settle down or there will be consequences", he said sternly. He stepped towards them with a sigh, deeply wishing he could just be out doing his job instead of lecturing to children. "... Forget about the conflicts of your peoples for five minutes and think. Look around. Look at me... What do you see?...", he continued on, gesturing to the general area. The rather obvious crime scene under the bridge. His various magical equipment. The file tucked under his arm. "... Like I said, you are interfering with an official investigation under the watchful eyes of the Magical Protection Bureau. Agent Joel Yorick, at your service. Now, due to both of your... meddling... I am going to have to ask you some questions", he concluded. Pulling out a note book and a pen, he scribbled on a sheet of paper rather quickly before tearing off the page before doing the same to another. Inspecting the papers for a brief moment before nodding, he looked up at both Angel and Demon and shot them a rather annoyed glance. '... Why is it always damn kids getting involved in these things?', he mentally complained. "... Right, follow me", he said sharply. Taking a quick glance around the haunted Bridge, he could feel the Lingering Spirits energy begin to waver. It seemed the time they were tolerated for was beginning to waver. Without another word, he turned on his heel and left the park. He had the ideal place in mind to interroga-... Question, these brats. The cafe Price told him about sounded lovely. [Sorry Winter, for not bringing you in just yet. We really need to figure something out. Any ideas?] Edited at May 25, 2022 03:50 PM by Kaiserreich
