And Tirion is left to sort out his idiot friend and have a sit down talk with both him and Devery explaining why, while this might be okay in an emergency situation, it's not remotely healthy in the long run and Narin should go to therapy instead, which Devery can definitely pay for, but if he doesn't want to then Tirion can because he didn't realize it was this bad and his bestie need serious help, lmao

Devery would be so confused by Tirion coming and telling him that it isn't healthy though, like- What exactly is the issue? It helps, at least for a little. Tirion trying to say it isn't healthy is a very quick way for Tirion to find out that Narin is not the only person he does it for.

Devery doesn't mind paying for therapy, of course, but that feels more like a choice for Narin to make to him.

You don't understand how fast Tirion would snitch to Garvin's partners. Bro would become the flash. Like, he's so quick to try and shut down stuff he thinks is bullshit, which is both why he and Narin have been friends for so long and why Narin's gotten ten times better at keeping secrets from him. Because Tirion cares a lot about people but has zero tact whatsoever about how he handles it.

And he's also kinda harsh about it. Narin is probably the person he cares the most about (though Calypso and Amara are up there by extension) and he's still ruthless when it comes to him making bad decisions and dealing with his mental health. Which was slightly trained on Narin's part, to be fair, he responds quickest to the "don't be a fucking dumbass, walk yourself down those stairs and go sit down and fucking think for two seconds about what consequences killing yourself would have on others" tactic... Not always super positive, but it usually gets the job done

Which is also kinda the reason he never knew about Belial. Because he'd call out the bad situation, beat Belial's ass, and probably get authorities involved. He doesn't play with that shit, and then probably try to help out Narin with his usual tactics which would absolutely make things worse in this situation. He doesn't deal with that shit, which is great when you need someone dependable to stand up for you, not so great when you're trying to have an actual emotional conversation or just have someone listen to you rant without telling you what to do about it. He's all for solutions, not much else.

And Narin probably wouldn't agree to therapy for the same reason as before; it's asking for help. Also using money. Which, Tirion might try to kinda bully him into it, but you know-

He's more likely to agree if he hears someone else who's been doing the same thing talk about it out loud, otherwise it won't really click
