Hi I am not sure how many artists are out there on wolf play but I needed help on coloring
I am good at sketching/drawing characters but my coloring normally makes it lose quality, making it really unappealing
In other words, my coloring is really bad/ it ruins the outcome of my work
I need suggestions/tips on coloring
please provide examples to support your suggestion
thanks for reading Edited at August 3, 2019 10:21 PM by Gyeong

It depends, do you use a art program with layers?
Here's a few examples of my coloring

Credits for the lineart go to the following people
The first and second one go to Fluffline on DA https://www.deviantart.com/fluffline
The third one goes to WhiteAdoptables500 on DA https://www.deviantart.com/whiteadoptables500
The fourth one goes to me for both making the lines and coloring As for coloring credits they all go to me Edited at August 6, 2019 12:08 AM by Pride Klaw

A big tip, make sure the markings fit the form. This happens to a lot of beginning artists/people just starting to color there work. Almost think if you wolfs body had a grid over it, how would it go? I'll add some pictures later today when I'm on my laptop. ^^ Another thing, study a bit of color theory. It's a wide spectrum so maybe narrow it down to analogies, complementary colors, etc. This will help your designs and coloring look like it goes together and blends nicely. Last, don't use super saturated colors. I was notorious for this. Unless it's a neon accent, beware the bright colors. :') (Note, they can be used properly, but since you want tips and are working on your coloring its best not to use them)
