Oh dang, I'm autistic. I'm not really sure how the functioning works or anything else, all I really know is I have asperger syndrome(AD) but I would love to learn more about autism!! It might help me understand myself more! |

I find I tend to mask up so well when in public, that when I tell someone I'm autistic they always say something along the lines of "really?" or "I never would've guessed!" I know they mean no harm, I just wish I could truly act myself in public. :') in public I usually use less "obvious" stims, which is usually bouncing my legs or, like, twisting or wringing my fingers? I'm not sure how to describe it lol. Anyway, once I conducted an experiment and when I felt the need to, I flapped my hands instead of doing something less obvious. This was during an English class, and as I suspected, the guy sitting next to me stared at me and said, "woah there, what was that/what are you doing?" I think my favourite stim is when I'm sitting at my desk in my room and drawing on tablet - I often listen to music, and I love hitting my feet against the wheels of my swivel chair to the beat of the music. It sounds weird, but God I love doing it. :'D |
