[ ★ What is your experience with this role? ★ ]
Jackie is by far no rookie in her role as a mentor and former knight, as she's been one for almost her whole life. She had originally joined soldiery for her mother and father, as her father couldn't work because he had gotten crippled and her mother was already overworking herself trying to both feed and give her love to two different clutches. While none of her siblings from the first clutch had taken up soldiery and had instead either fallen in love, taken one of the few jobs available, or found their rebellious streak and run, many of the second clutch had dreamed of taking up sword, Jackie included and maybe a little bit guilty of inspiring this. Jackie figured that if she joined the king's army then her mother and working siblings wouldn't have to work as hard to feed an extra mouth and as the oldest of the second clutch. Her mother was, in fact, somewhat feverish on her attempt to convince her not to go but was eventually able to convince her with the help of her father. Thus cue her journey to being a fledgling, to finally becoming a knight. She became a mentor at age 28, and briefly became a bodyguard before being called back to help escort the youngest prince away from the kingdom with rebellions on the rise. She knows how to both cooperate and teach others, and is experienced with her halberd.

[ ★ What do you think about the uprising? ★ ]
Jackie thinks this is doing more harm than it's doing good or to prove a point. It's to the point she swears all she smells is smoke from bonfires in the air and it's hard not going anywhere without being briefly harassed by someone else. What's the point? Everyone is going to see ruin at the rate things are going at, and she is by no means going to sit down and watch that happen. If she sees soldiers having trouble, it's not hard to say Jackie wouldn't step in to support her comrades, even if that meant using a bit more violent means in order to make the situation stop entirely before it can get too dire. That isn't to say she would be necessarily proud of herself if she got any blood on her, she just sees it as they're making a big deal of things. The whole rebellion is just a giant mass murder in order to improve something that could probably be solved with a few peaceful protests or something… after all the king isn't heartless right??? … Right?

[ ★ What do you think about the king? ★ ]
Jackie believes in the king. That's to say, believes, but isn't undyingly loyal. She's very well aware the lower class is suffering, has experienced it first hand by watching what her older siblings within the first clutch became like, but is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now and believe that if they bring this forward on a more peaceful note he would have been eager to fix the system… he wouldn't let his people suffer after all right? Jackie isn't about to throw many years of training behind her and turn her blade towards the king on a dime, even with the screams of others clawing at her back. She has comrades suffering, and killing the king's children definitely will not solve affairs, if anything it'll make the fire burning worse. The king will make things right, then she'll be able to continue her work. With some convincing and sound reasoning then maybe you would be able to convince her to go against the king.
___________
[ ★ Weapon ★ ]
Jackie wields a Halberd as her chosen weapon, the shaft and point made up of a light colored metal that looks close to white if not for the slight silver tinting to it, and the blade and beak of the weapon are made from some sort of grey-blue kind of metal edged with a more silvery color at the bottom and lining the axe-like end of the blade side. A makeshift grip is made on the weapon by a wrapping of some sort of brown cloth, most likely something like a strip of hemp fabric. Right at the socket of the weapon lays a carving of the kingdom's emblem, barely noticeable until you look for it, but there nevertheless. Jackie's halberd is mostly top heavy, but she has learned to work with the uneven weight from years of working with this weapon in particular though still wouldn't consider herself a master, she's simply learned how to comfortably incorporate it into her fighting style. It can mostly be seen fitted comfortably by a little slot that hangs around the side of her neck, where she can easily grab it at a moment's notice if there's any sudden danger.

[ ★ Appearance ★ ]
Jackie is a hen that carries herself with nothing less of a confident, yet cautious stride and weighs about 6 pounds due to her being that of a Welsummer chicken like both her mother and father. While she is on a bit of the smaller side of the chicken spectrum compared to other more impressive species, if she stands straight enough she finds she can appear a few inches taller than she actually is, helping a bit with an intimidation factor. Jackie always seems to be a bit on edge, an easy tell being how her feathers will always be somewhat ruffled or fluffed up, or how her eyes will dart to the tiniest sound she may pick up Incase a threat will be near, afterall you never know when someone might jump out at you wanting to pick a verbal or physical fight, especially with the whole rebellion business happening as of late. She finds her wing hurts more often than not from how hard she clutches her halberd's handle sometimes. While Jackie doesn't sport the same long, elegant, waterfall tail feathers of her rooster comrades, she still walks with her own kind of elegance despite her feathers usually in a somewhat ruffled or damaged state like she barely takes time to preen at all. She is far from unscarred from her time in service to the king as a soldier within his ranks, and it shows sometimes and other times not from how many have been covered by her feathers once they heal. Jackie's most noticeable is a small chip missing from the bottom right side of her upper beak, which is most often than not pressed into a frown when glaring down her enemies or a soft smile when holding conversation with another soldier or apprentice. Her second most noticeable scar is a faded slash on her right leg a bit above where her foot and leg meet, though Jackie walks perfectly fine.
The color of the plumage on Jackie's neck is a bright golden color, that tends to look more of a sunny orange near her chest and by her head, and each having a more apparent black on the inside of each feather as it goes down towards her chest and back area, where it changes colors to a light chestnut and that of oak bark. Her tail feathers dawn a darker color variation of her back and part of her torso, like burnt chestnuts which blends nicely against the overall kind of Brownscale plumage she has. The skin on Jackie's face is similar to a mix of the colors of the brown and purple leaves within autumn, with it taking a lighter coloration near the bottom half of her head where her yellow and silver colored beak is, lightly curved right at the tip to make a sharp edge like one of those jagged daggers some of the other soldiers will use as their weapon of choice. Jackie's wattle and comb aren't as big as a rooster obviously, but has been blessed by her mother with a rather impressive one for a hen nevertheless that's colored a nice red color, like the petals of a newly bloomed rose. Her comb is single rather than something like a carnation or V, and curves to barely meet the arch of the back of her neck where the orange of Jackie's neck looks more of a bright sherbet, her wobbles falling from both sides of her beak like water droplets from an icicle. Jackie's eyes are similar in color palette to the majority of her plumage, a light hazel color, that differs from the small bit of pinkish skin that surrounds her eyes and seems to hold a kind of fierceness within them. Her legs are probably one of the brightest colors apart of her plumage, a sunny yellow color that trails down to her talons, which are ebony black in color and curve inwards back towards her feet slightly to help with her grip on the floor.
Jackie's attire usually consists of nothing less than the issued uniform for the king's army, which would be a white colored Poet's shirt with two rather small cream colored buttons just under where the collar is, spaced a few inches below the other and to the right, an embroidery of the kingdom's crest that sits more towards where her heart lies. She keeps her collar straight, doing her best to remember to do both of the buttons and not just the top one in order to look formal, and the long rolled sleeves of the poet's shirt are usually rolled halfway up her wings to help provide a little bit of flexibility. Jackie has silver, somewhat rusted from use over the years, chainmail that she wears under her normal clothes. The sleeves only really reach down to midway her wing similar to the length she'll roll her sleeves at if not a bit shorter, and she's trying to make a habit of wearing it over her normal attire more often to help keep other chickens off her back, so they don't see her as vulnerable for not wearing some form of protection. Her pants are a comfortable but somewhat loose kind of wool dyed an inky black like squid ink, though the end is usually tucked into her armoured boots. Her armour consists of a helmet that hides her rose red colored comb and shadows her eyes a bit, and the strap reaches behind her wattle to clip together right under her chin. A chest plate fits securely over her breast and clips behind the base of her neck, and connects to the one fitted over her back with an inward curve at the midsection to make room for her wings mobility. Tiny little plates of metal are forged securely over her legs though her amour doesn't come without any kind of scratch marks or nicks within them. Though because of the trip, she's had to leave most of her armour back at the castle resorting to her instead having to wear a loose light grey colored dress that still leaves a decent amount of her flexibility and so she can wear her metal forged back plate underneath, with a small white colored collar that reaches midway up her neck and the flowy grey fabric of the bottom of the dress drapes a few inches down her legs. A lightish green cloak colored the same as summer leaves covers her back, clipped at the front and hiding a rusty compass that hangs around her neck underneath the dress. She has yet to abandon her chainmail however, and wears it underneath her newly donned attire and little armour she has on.

[ ★ Personality ★ ]
Jackie is a chicken who is actually somewhat sociable despite her constant work needing her to be diligent, or at least likes to think of herself as someone who is. In reality, while she will be more than happy to hold conversation and chatter away when not working or holding duty, she will try and most likely fail to start up any kind of conversation, she's given up trying in all honesty, as it's only become rather awkward for her and the chicken she was trying to interact with. She's a little out of her element within the first interaction, like she's trying to figure out something, and eventually you can see Jackie become more relaxed and open, more prone to laughing and bantering back in heated debates or discussions. She's had years practice talking with all of her siblings within the second clutch so she knows how to rile them up, how to make them feel sorry for something, how to help soothe them when something happened, and while some of it was because she's had to step up as a role model for them it's probably because she's lived get life around them almost constantly before leaving to join the kings army. Jackie finds she laughs almost easily to the simplest of jokes someone may say, and will always appreciate the attempt to brighten a mood if things seem gloomy and it's the right place and time. A gloomy atmosphere was never something she couldn't fix within the household, but now is growing a bit frustrated that she can do barely anything to help fix this problem when with other soldiers or chickens she's never met. With others, she views that she's tackling a whole entirely new thing. Jackie is well aware she doesn't need to know everything about someone to talk to them, but still finds it hard to connect when they're simply just strangers, so she holds a bit of a cold and attentive front.
Within work Jackie is a chicken that doesn't take her role very lightly as a soldier, and takes very little time for any kind of leisure talk or chitchat, even with a fellow soldier. Unless it's about her job or work, she most likely doesn't care and will shoot you with a silent glare or continue on with her job like you're not there. She might find time to respond, but it's rare and many times few, and even if she does it's most likely going to be a one word answer or a simple hum in your direction to signal she was only kind of half listening. Her demeanor, she's been told many times by other soldiers, flips kind of like a switch from a chicken that's easily approachable to someone that's more alert and hard to approach or talk to. Jackie personally doesn't know how to feel about this, but has managed to convince herself that it isn't important to dwell on this information even if doing what makes her work well creates rumors and makes her more often than not unapproachable. If you can catch Jackie within the heat of battle or trying to help organize some chaos, her voice takes on more of an edge to it, like not quite edging more to a snappish tone, but sounding menacing and somewhat authorative all the same. She tolerated very little excuses or half hearted answers from soldiers who missed their posts back when she was a knight, and would make it her job to mother them until they were able to get it right. As a mentor she was a bit more open and easier to approach, and made sure to keep herself calm and less uptight so the apprentices wouldn't be afraid to come to her for advice or practice while they were in training. Yet still made it her duty to be somewhat strict and prioritize helping them learn what they needed to whatever year they were in. Even one missed deadline could mean disaster within the future, coming late within an emergency call could mean already many dead. You have to stay diligent.

[ ★ Family ★ ]
Mother - Dahlia Coniferous Velta - Welsummer
Their mother worked really often, either she was busy doing laundry or cooking for another chicken that wandered into the village they lived in and needed a bite to eat. Nevertheless, she tried to shower both clutches with as much love as she possibly could though that role slowly went to their father as she got busier with more jobs after he became crippled and couldn't work anymore. Since the majority of the first Clutch are now in jobs, married off, or have run away, she's had a bit more time off but not much though has retained her protectiveness over any of her chicks, no matter their own opinions of her.
Father - Callahan Velta - Welsummer
Their father was always a kind man from what Jacky can remember in her most early memories, and even now is still kind. The first clutch never interacted with him much because he was always away working in the kings ranks as a soldier and when not called to arms busy helping the blacksmith, but recently after being put out of commission due to becoming crippled he's spent a lot more time with his chicks, though for majority of the first Clutch it's too late and most have left with jobs, run away, or have fallen in love. Thus, he's trying his absolute best to make up for lost time with his second clutch.
First Clutch - Welsummer Chicks
Initially looked up to them as a chick, but that eventually devolved into trying to keep herself and her clutch out of their way as she realized they always seemed busy or annoyed with them, though the first Clutch really did try to love them as much as their mother did, honestly. Work and trying to help provide just eventually stressed them out.
Second Clutch - Welsummer Chicks
As the eldest of the clutch Jackie has always felt a sort of responsibility to be the "leader" of her siblings or at least a role model for them. While their mother showered them with as much love as they could, Jackie was still usually the one left trying to entertain and make up games for them to play while everyone else was busy working. It was because of this that she may or may not be guilty of inspiring nearly half of her siblings to become soldiers. And maybe why they either call her Older Velta or General rather than big sister. That name was anonymously given to only the first clutch.
