My Second in Command Name: Kleio Meaning: "Glory". Age: Twelve Years Gender: Female Rank: Second in Command Desired Rank: Elder, or Death Appearance: Kleio is a lioness who is past her prime, and well into the ages that would lead to her retirement. Although, unlike some, or most, elders, her body has treated her well with age. Constant use has allowed her to remain somewhat fit and strong, and her mind remains sharp, whereas some deteriorate. She’s not quite as tall and powerful as she once was, she rarely stands at her full height any more, but her full height is a towering 3.7 feet. In her prime, she weighed somewhere around the solid 380 pounds, but has, since, dropped to around 300 pounds. In her younger years, her body was packed with muscle, her chest being broad and her entire stance being powerful. She still radiates power, but she is not the great, mighty creature that she once was. The hue of her coat has changed little over the years, remaining a lovely color of golden-tan. Some parts of it have gotten lighter or darker, respectively, throughout her lifetime, but not enough to make her a completely different lioness to when she was younger in terms of appearance. The main aspects of her that have changed is the darker grey on the sides of her muzzle and head, alongside a pale golden-cream chest and underbelly. Her eyes are a pale orange-olive hue, a mix of the color of the sun and the pale green plants. Personality: Kleio is many things. She is complicated, intricate, a network of emotions and traits that make up the Second in Command that make her fit for her role within the pride. Age may have dampened her body's capibilities, but it has failed to dampen her mind. She remains a steady creature in the pride, standing proud in her role. She's a dependable figure, both to those personally close to her, and to the rest of the pride. She is dependable as both a leader, and someone to talk to if they need her to be. She strives to remain as such, even after she's retired. Young lions will need elders to guide them on their way through life, and she wants to be one of those elders. In a similar fashion, the lioness is loyal and selfless. She would give up her life to defend the pride without a second thought, would put herself in harms way if it meant protecting another member of her pride, or someone she cared about. Once you have her loyalty, it is practically unwavering, and she is someone who would stand beside you through thick and thin, someone who would answer to your every beck and call, do everything to please you. Once you have her loyalty, you have her as an entire creature, likely for the rest of your life. Even if you mess up, she would do her best to understand that, to see past it. You have to really mess up for her to even consider switching loyalties. Kleio is a being, like many lionesses, of a protective nature. She is perhaps bolder than most, more daring, more ferocious and commanding, but every lion and lioness has an underlying protectiveness, whether they realize it or not. They would all protect what they think is theirs, and her protective trait is just, perhaps, a little more pronounced than others. It works well alongside the passionate, loud, fiery side of her. The side that comes out when it needs to from the, otherwise quieter and observant, lioness. The loud part of her could be considered brutish at times, shoving her opinion and words down your throat if you just aren't getting it. If she needs to force you to co-operate with her orders, she's not afraid of doing so. She tries to never give an order that she doesn't believe in, that she wouldn't follow if she was given it by a higher-up. Having a quieter side doesn't take away from her boldness, though. She offers her opinion and thoughts often, often without it being asked of her. Her input is given freely, her words spewing forth. But quantity doesn't take away from their quality, and she's still someone worth listening to. If you ask a specific question, you could get valuable wisdom, or you could get rambling about some other topic for a few minutes. It's a gamble, but a worthwhile one to some people. Similarly, she is brave. She knows that bravery is not the absence of fear, but continuing to do something if you are afraid. She does her best to push past fear, to continue to do what she needs to do, no matter how much it hurts her. She is respectful. To who? Everyone that she thinks deserves respect. It's a two-way street, in her mind. If someone isn't being respectful to her, they sure as hell won't get respect from her. She'll show respect to those that have earned it, and give extra respect to higher-ups that have earned her respect. Of course, she believes in giving respect to those higher than you at all times, but if they haven't earned it than she'd give nothing but the baseline. My Guardian Name: Vilma Meaning: "Determined Protector". Age: Six Gender: Female Rank: [Temporary] Guardian Desired Rank: Huntress--wouldn't say no to a promotion, but otherwise is content Appearance: Vilma is a creature of similar stature to what her mother used to be in her prime, but larger. She is broad and powerfully stanced, muscle filling out anything that could be considered soft or cuddly, other than her pelt itself. Every part of her could, perhaps, be described as mean, less-than-lean, and definitely a fighting machine. She stands, when at her full height, at 3'10", making her a monster in terms of size. Perhaps not the largest lioness to exist in the pride, but definitely someone to be careful of pissing off, her weight clocks in at a good 380 pounds. She is in the midst of her prime, and her body certainly looks like she is. Her coat is gold, perhaps a rusty shade of gold. It is dark, looking not unlike her dam’s coat. Truly, Vilma may very well be an exact replica of what Kleio was in her youth. Her coat is neither long nor short, not too fluffy and not thin enough to consider her sickly. It is an amount of fluff that could cushion against her muscle whilst cuddling, especially on her chest and underside. Her lower hind legs have a light spotted patterning, similar to a cub, that have not left her since her own juvenile times, and her chest has a light golden hue. It is not quite light enough to be considered cream, but definitely light enough to see the slight shift in shades. It extends downwards into an underbelly, and up to make the underside of her jaw lighter than the rest of her. Her eyes are a fiery, bright hue of topaz. Personality: Passionate, stubborn and fiesty are just a few words that can quite easily describe the lioness. When she believes something, in someone or something, or that something is right or wrong, Vilma throws her everything into believing that. She's confident in herself and her opinions, putting them out there with little worry or concern for how others around her feel about them. If they don't like them, they can leave her alone, simple as that. There's very few that can even begin to change her beliefs about something, purely due to how much of herself she gives to believing in who she believes in. Vilma can be loud. She speaks up if something bothers her, if she thinks this or that aren't being taken care of, if she thinks that something needs to be done better. Truly a trait that she got from her mother, if something is bothering her, the lioness is going to speak up and she's not going to be shy about doing that. If something bothers those close to her, she's going to speak up on their behalf, even if she's paid it no thought. If ignored, Vilma simply gets louder until another physically can't ignore her any longer. She's stubborn in that manner, and many more, and simply won't give up. She's stubborn in more ways, too. Once she's set her mind on something, it's difficult to deter her. Near impossible, if you will. Similarly, if she's decided to believe in someone, to trust in someone, to be loyal to someone, it's very difficult to make her see them in a different light. You have to know exactly how to say it to her, exactly how to show it to her, so that she'll go away and think it over again instead of following those she trusts. It's hard to get her trust, but once you have it, she trusts you with everything. For those close to her, Vilma wants to be trustworthy, and she is. She would keep a secret locked away in her heart for eternity, would stand beside you in every confrontation, would be someone that was there for you when you needed her to be. If you needed someone to vent to, she's there, if you needed advice, she would do her damn best to give it to you, if you needed someone to go fight your battles for you, Vilma is damn well going to go to war for you. She's protective and, at times, can have quite a short temper. She's protective of what's hers. Her cubs, her mate, her land, her pride, whatever is hers, whatever she has claimed, she'll defend it to her death, and try to defend it from even beyond the grave. If you try to hurt who or what is hers, try to separate her from them, she can grow irritated, aggressive even, and her being a lioness of a short temper isn't exactly out of character or unheard of, either. To her cubs, Vilma is a devoted mother. She lets them do their own thing for the most part, but the moment that they need someone to lean on, the moment they need someone to protect them, to shelter them, to stand up for them, Vilma is there. She'll let her cubs play with each other, with her paw or her tail, she'll let them run around on the rocks and jump between them and, hell, even get hurt sometimes to learn not to do something (you can't tell a child not to do something, they'll do it anyway). But the moment her cubs are calling for her? The moment she hears their calls of pain or fear? If you are the cause of those cries? You're going to see a side of the lioness that nobody ever wants to see of a mother. She's there for them, she's present in their lives, but she refuses to loom over her cubs' shoulders. She wants them to know that she's there, that she's always going to be there for them, that they can come to her with little problems, with big problems, with problems that are, perhaps, small to her, but big to them. She wants to be the mother that her own mother was not. Crush: None, maybe open Mate: None Cubs: Open to five two month old cubs, sire TBD. Other: Credit for Images: Svenimal on DA. Stock Images.

My Heir Name: Ziba Meaning: "Army; Fight; Strength" Age: Six Gender: Female Rank: Heir Desired Rank: Queen Appearance: Ziba, although not a small creature, is not the largest lioness to exist. She stands at 3.8 feet at the shoulder, physique sinewy beneath her coat. She is muscular, not someone to be thought of as physically weak or slight. Whilst her body might not be particularly broad or noticeably too much bulkier than average, Ziba is certainly not a lioness to be described as dainty or frail. Her coat is a golden-tan color, leaning more towards the golden shades. The tips of her hairs seem to have a slight grey tint, giving her an almost silvery outline in some lights. The darker hues of her coat are still plainly seen, though, and when she’s in direct sunlight, it’s almost as if she radiates the rich hue of her pelt. Her chest is a creamier shade, rising up to the underside of her throat and jaw, and down into a paler underbelly. Not shown in the images is the scars that adorn her figure. Although not quite an elder, she has a good few years left, Ziba is not the young lioness that she once was. Her body is not clear of scars and old wounds, and she’s had her fair share of muck-ups whilst on hunts or in fights. It’s not so much that it drags all attention away from the rest of her, but there’s enough of them to bring acknowledgement that she’s experienced. Her eyes are a mixture of a pale orange and olive, something being a mixture of the shades or switching between them depending on how the lighting hits them. Her scent is a rich, earthy smell, like the smell that the dirt released when one was digging mixed with the scent that floated into the air when it rained. Personality: Ziba is one of many traits--some inherited, others learned over time, applied in different situations in the form of ‘masks’. By nature, she is quiet and observant, a little reserved and off to the side. She is one to appear and disappear as quickly as a breeze rises and dies, moving with the same quietness. She thinks more than she speaks, offering what wisdom has accumulated in her mind if someone were merely to ask. Perhaps friendly would not be the way to describe her, but unapproachable isn’t the word that comes to mind either. Maybe it could be worded in a way to say that she is approachable in the way that quiet people are--they sit and they listen, they do not speak, they allow one to vent until their thoughts, opinions and advice are asked of. Friendly? No. Approachable with your problems? Yes, definitely. The most common ‘mask’ these days is the one of the Heir, or Future Queen. She dons it in the presence of the pride, a fierce and protective soon-to-be-leader. The traits of the mask have melded somewhere with her own, offering her a determination that she hadn’t grasped as a younger lioness. Once she’s set her mind on something, there’s very little to deter her. Likewise, in her protectiveness, there is almost nothing the lioness wouldn’t do. She is bold and dangerous, although still quiet and holding that reserved quality. She is resolute and ferocious in the way she acts, willing to put herself and her body on the line for her pride. She wants to lead, not with an iron paw, but with an aura that offers power and, sometimes, encouragement. At times, rare times, one might see the Heir be softer. Her walls may lower for a split second, the thorns that adorn the roses in her mind turn their edges blunt, and the pride may see a different side--a warmer side, a calmer side. A side that is soft like a flower, instead of hard and cold like icebergs or ferocious and protective like a fueled blaze. Admittedly, some members of the pride see this side more often than others. Namely, her family, and perhaps a future mate. They see the softer eyes, the warmer heart, the gentler side of her that is rare. All of that being said, Ziba is not a pushover. She may be quiet, may be soft at times, but she is still ferocious and fierce--she is still an Heir. She knows her rank, and she knows it well, and she has never allowed disrespect shown towards her, or any other pride members. ‘Treat others as you wish to be treated’ was what she grew up with, and is the message she has tried to instill within those around her over the years. She often steps between disagreements, before it gets too loud or descends to blows, and tries to get it to settle peacefully. But as ‘open’ as she may seem with the pride, there is much that not many members know. She is still reserved, even if she is required by rank to voice her opinions. She takes a while to trust someone fully--and, of course, if you break that trust? With Ziba, you get no second chances.
