Arrow | Female | KILO dog | Terrier cross | #47 | M: Tysta, Hero She dashed a few steps away, pink tongue lolling and tail wagging. Her back was to the entrance Ginger had entered from, but she perked up her ears at the sound of her metal footsteps, and whirled around rather quickly. "Commander Gin!" She cocked her head and sat down, ready to listen to what the commander had to say. Even though it was something she didn't want to hear. Her perked ears flopped back down, and she shot an annoyed glance toward Tysta, who mouthed her an apology before she trotted out of earshot, gesturing for Hero to follow. She kept her eyes on their commander and Tysta, hoping to be able to decipher what was spoken between the two by their body language. Commander Hoffen of Foxtrot | #34 | Male | Schnauzer/Wolf cross | M: Kämpe, Foxtrot His stance stiffened at the harsh judgement of his regiment. She was right, though. By Beta's standards, Hoffen had started to go soft. He needed to fix that if he wanted to stay alive. "I assure you they will perform excellently today, Commander." He responded, tone as calculated as ever, though he shot an unreadble look toward the dogs in his regiment, hoping that they would understand that their performance was vital, especially with whatever had happened to Axel. Hoffen nodded to their commander, then turned toward Foxtrot. "I expect your performance to meet the Commander's highest standards. You know how this works. Stick together and don't let a teammate down." Edited at January 7, 2020 03:17 PM by Grimm

Tysta | Male | Kilo Dog (Siberian Retriever) | 48 | M: Arrow, Hero, Ginger Tysta willed himself to stay still, forcing his tail to lie flat rather than swing about like that of an enthusiastic puppy. But he could not geap the jubilient gleam in his eye at bay. His first mission. "Of course, Commander. I will not fail." He flashed a grin, dipping his head in respect before backing away. He didn't quite give her the chance to say anything else, but it did not seem as though she had any more directions for him. She would most certainly catch up and tell him if she had any other points to make. "If I'm not back in two days, come looking for me!" He called over his shoulder, before extending his limbs into an easy trot. His paws snapped with energy as he began to ascend the long dirt tunnels upwards. He tossed a friendly greeting or two to any bystanders, before spilling out into the light above. Well - perhaps light was the wrong word. Yes, before spilling out into the gray above. Wind slashed through his coat, and his breath froze in air before him. It was freezing. He began to prance, muttering under his breath as he warmed himself up.

Kämpe | Female | Cheif Cull (Doberman, German Shepard, Australian Shepard cross) | 24 | M: All Kämpe turned away from Hoffen, smoothly making her way to her own regiment. "Bravo." She addressed them, tail lashing. "I will wait to explain tactic until we are safely out of earshot. Hold steady, and remain still." At her final words, the lights slowly dimmed, until the only thing of visibility was Kämpe's fierce, cold, fiery blue eyes. The female felt the ground beneath her turn to cold, cruel ice through sensors in her metal claws. The wind whipped up into a roar, snow filled the air, and a slight hail pelted her back. The conditions were miserable, however, being primairily metal, she was not affected. Slowly, the night city materialized about her, giant, towering, oppressive. She knew, that if she were to reach out, she would feel the wall beneath her touch (via sensors under her skin). Everything was just as real as it could possibly be. Even the scale of the city matched the exact size of the one outside the training center. It was strange, the science behind it, but, alas, Kämpe supposed she would never know. She waited for her regiment to collect itself before turning to face them.

Hero // Male // Kilo Rebellion // Wolf/German Shepard // 39 // Mentions: Tysta, Arrow, Ginger Hero dipped his head slightly when Ginger appeared, it wasn't a sign of submission, only slight respect. "Greetings Commander." He growled in a silky tone. He narrowed his eyes slightly when Ginger said she needed to speak to Tysta alone, a mission? waving his tail slightly, Hero turned away silently and padded off. So, yet again, he wasn't needed. Hero didn't expect Arrow to come up to him as he walked, he had see the strain in the other dogs grin as she greeted him. Hero simply padded into the training facility and sat in the shadowed corner, glaring around with emotionless eyes. Despite the fact that Hero acted strong and like a complete loner, he was... lonely. It wasn't that Hero didn't want friends, he just found others extremely hard to trust, and he didn't really know how to talk without making others uncomfortable. Hero actually envied Tysta's, Arrow's, and Commander Ginger's friendship. It seemed unreal and impossible for him to get that close to anyone ever. Of course, Hero would never admit to feeling anything. Hero was supposed to be deceiving, a liar, and someone no one trusted. He made himself this way so he wouldn't get hurt, that's what he was scared of. Getting hurt, again. He couldn't trust anyone, and to do that, he couldn't get close to anyone, and to avoid getting close to anyone, everyone had to hate him.

Zadolt | Male | Australian/German Shepard mix | Foxtrot | 28 | Mentions: N/A As soon as Kämpe turned away, he let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding. The culls may make him uneasy, but the lead cull was downright creepy. Of course, she was supposed to be, as the head cull; Beta's most terrifying weapon. He relaxed his stance, letting his head droop slightly. He knew that the Bravo dogs would be strategizing, coming up with a plan to defeat them. And there was a fifty percent chance they would; they were more disciplined, more likely to follow a plan precisely. He knew exactly why Kämpe would prefer them, and he didn't blame her. Yet, surprisingly, that was the least of his worries. His biggest worry was where commander Axel was. Of course, he didn't like the commander, but it would be unfortunate if he was replaced. And it would take a while to find a replacement, which would mean seeing more of Kämpe, which he didn't really want; and general curiosity was also a cause for wondering the commander's whereabouts. Skydda | Female | Dog (Mudi) | Bravo | #23 | M: Kämpe, Axel (indirectly) Skydda stepped into the training area, a jolt zapping her body. It was a familiar occurence, something that always happened when one entered. The blue merle lined up immediately, ears pricked in anticipation of orders. Her dark brown eyes watched Kämpe as the Chief Cull spoke, voice edged with a metallic sound. As she listened, Skydda sat a little straighter when she heard that Kämpe was commanding Regiment Bravo, her regiment, in this exercise. Her eyes were emotionless, but underneath there was a little confusion. What had happened to Commander Axel? Somehow Skydda hoped that he was fine, perhaps it was a flicker of loyalty that had shown momentarily. While Skydda had been wondering about Axel, Kämpe had approached Regiment Bravo. The Mudi female nodded silently, watching as the night city materialised around them. The conditions weren't welcoming; snow blurring Skydda's vision a little, wind whistling loudly in her ears and some hail that landed on her and the ground. A game of Hunt was one of Skydda's favourite training exercises, especially when she was on the chasing team. As a Mudi, she was born to chase, run and herd. Doing those things brought a little joy to the quiet female. Adrenaline started to pulse in her veins. She was ready for Kämpe's instructions. She was ready to chase, and to win.

Ginger | Female | English Pointer/Broken Cull | Kilo | 46 | Mentions: Tysta, Hero, Arrow
Ginger watched Tysta trot away, her eyes were the only thing giving away her worry, though they did darken with this shout, she had hoped he'd be able to keep it a secret from everyone, the shout was enough to make any dog wonder where he was going and what he was doing. Sighing she turned and made her way to Arrow, Hero and the others, all waiting, in some way or another, for the training to begin.
"Alright everyone, I want you up and running laps now!" she started every training session like this, running was a great way to warm up and build stamina; plus in the fight against Beta's dogs, speed was more important than strength. She watched as the dogs slowly started their uncoordinated run; though for most it looked like a lopsided trot. "Arrow, Hero, come here" a thought had come to her, as those two were some of the best in training, disregarding some certain traits. She needed someone to watch, especially with Tysta out; though she hoped against it, he could be caught, and she didn't want to be taken by surprise. Hero // Male // Wolf/German Shepard // Kilo // 39 // M: Ginger, Arrow Hero started running on command, his pace steady and swift. He was already ahead of everyone when he was called over. Annoyance prickled Hero's pelt, but he changed course and easily trotted over to Ginger, his keen eyes searching, he saw a hint of worry in Ginger's eyes when he met them, and his annoyance turned to curiosity. "What do you need commander?" He asked in his quiet smooth tone. His amber eyes revealed nothing as he gazed at his leader, his fur was smooth, and his back straight. "Never show any emotion. Anyone could be watching, don't give yourself away." A small voice rang in Hero's mind, reminding him of what to do. Hero sat down silently in front of Ginger, waiting for a response. He scanned the room for Arrow, aware that Ginger had called her over as well, of course. No way the commander would trust Hero to do something on his own.

Kämpe | Female | Cheif Cull (Doberman, German Shepard, Australian Shepard cross) | 24 | M: Skydda Kämpe regarded her regiment coldly. Well trained warriors indeed; but it was time she tested their ability to think for themselves. First, she would do well to unsettle them. She paced, eyes narrowing on the dog of her choice - 23. "You are not to question the wherabouts of your normal commander, as much as I see you would like to." It was a guess, but an accurate one, nonetheless. Meant to unsettle her. She turned away from 23. Kämpe rarely burderend herself with the names of others. Somehow, in the part of her mind that was still dog; something about her past - she felt as though she would let someone down, by knowing their name. Names meant trust, respect; and something about holding such a trust seemed foolish. She was a cull - she had no mind of her own. She would only end up hurting those that trusted her anyway. Which was perhaps one of the multiple reasons she remained so cold. However, in this moment of thought, the female's demeanor shifted. For once in her life, she was not cold, condescending. Just... neutral. Her programming made a saddened facial expression quite difficult so as not to display weakened. Quickly, the female drew up her guard, voice catching slightly in her throat. "I will give you little direction. Consider this a test; do not fail me. You may go." A sharp stab of pain shot through her mind, and the next words fell from her maw in a metallic tone, oddly robotic: " To recap. You will rely primairily on senses other than sight; however, bare in mind that there will be street lamps. One regiment will attempt to corner and disable the other regiment. You may take individual prisoners - said prisoners will be 'disabled' through combat. No blood is to be drawn, rather, a pin will be sufficient. After five seconds on the ground. The 'prisoner' will then freeze in place. Yes, literally - a pinned dog will not be able to move. All aside, the regiment that gives chase should be able to catch the other regiment - it is only a matter of time before the other gives out. The 'prey' regiment will run, hide, spread, counter attack, or stay together and fight - It doesn't matter, as long as you hold out for as long as possible. Commander Hoffen of Foxtrot | #34 | Male | Schnauzer/Wolf cross | M: Kämpe, Zadolt, Foxtrot Hoffen's upper lip curled into a snarl as he spoke. "Foxtrot, I expect us to win. Bravo is shaken without their...leader. We are not going to lose again. We are a team, that is our greatest asset. Run together in small groups, protect your teammates. Do not get caught." His tone was more threatening than usual, Commander Axel's absence hanging heavily in the air. With sharp brown eyes, he scanned his regiment, eyes landing on the Aussie mix. "Twenty-Eight, do you hear me? We stick together." As much as he trusted the other dog, he knew that he had a tendency to be a loner. A dog disobeying was the last thing that needed to happen in front of the lead Cull. With a flick of his ears, he stalked down the line of dogs, "Remember, you will not be able to see well, if at all. Use your ears, nose. You did not undergo extensive scent training for nothing. Use it, Foxtrot." With a low growl and a sharp nod, he turned to Kämpe to indicate that he was finished with his regiment. As the scene of the training room twisted and faded, transforming into the dark streets of the city, Hoffen took place next to his regiment. Edited at January 14, 2020 08:04 PM by Grimm
