Merlin | Alpha | Male | M: Everyone except Recon,Doji, and Dev The large brute came to his bearings ignoring Echo’s nudge. Though it brought him back to reality. He was beginning to disassociate from what was going on. Maybe from the lack of water? Or he was still in shock. Maybe he wanted to act like he was alone and not be around others. Anything to daydream or twist his reality and dream to escape his responsibility. He shook his body releasing the tension that stuck his fur like snow in the winter. Though it didn't help relieve any of the pressure he felt. He lashed his bushy tail and it remained curled to his back. His fur began to bristle at everyone's small talk. He just wanted to get going. His head was pounding against his skull. He tightly shut his eyes hoping it would just blur away. Though it didn't fade away like he hoped. He began panting to help relieve the headache and cool himself down in this heat. His yellow eyes looked out to the direction of the river again. He felt Timber jump off his back. That means everyone was awake. Good, that means time for water. He ignored anyone trying to speak to him. He was done with the small talk. It was time to move and get everyone a drink of water. He had a plan after that, but he wanted to make sure everyone was well adjusted. Then he could say his plan. He looked back to the orders. He barked loudly for everyone to hear “Everyone to the river! And if anyone goes off by themselves, you will be punished. I have a set in stone plan. I will tell you all at the river when everyone has a chance to get a drink and calm down. Now let’s go. If you wanna stay behind and be left for dead, be my guest. I'm sick of doing their own thing and if your actions have consequences due to your own disobedience. That’s your own fault.. I want a headcount after we get to the river and everyone gets a drink. If you leave off your own after that. No one will come find you.. Now let's roll out.." Merlin was out of character being fierce and ordering everyone. But times have changed. Merlin knew he was harsh. But their luxurious world has crumbled now. Time to face their new harsh reality. He turned his back to head to the river without hearing anyone’s protest or complaints. His tardiness to Recon’s howl aggravated him even more.

Doji | Female | Subordinate | M: Dev and Recon Doji didn't get to listen to Recon fully as she listened to Deverick. He was not fully coherent. She quickly sprang to her paws. She was dizzy and off balance but she ignored the feelings. She quickly grabbed the scruff of Deverick's and pulled him to the water. She started to fling water on his water to cool him down. She barked "Sorey Dev. You are just overheated.. You are not okay.." She looked at Recon worriedly. He was in worse condition she was. Though Doji did something unexpected. She went to Deverick and laid next to him. She laid her head on the top of his neck.
She remarked "Don't take this action the wrong way, kid. I'm all soaked from the river. I'm cold enough to cool you down."

Nightingale - Female - Subordinate - M: Timber, Group Night turns at Merlin's cry. She trots after Timber. "Jeraboa just woke up. I bet he is even more clueless." Nightingale slows to a walk when she is near the group, looking back to make sure Jeraboa is coming okay. (Bad English) Jeraboa - Male - Low ranked subordinate - M: Group Jeraboa turned. He was about to answer, but his brother darted away. Jeraboa hustled as fast as his leg allowed. Which was moderately fast, but not as fast as the rest of the group. Doing his best not to stumble, he follows at the end of the group. Trying the entire time to catch up.

Timber - Male - Subordinate - Mentions: Night, Merlin (D) Jeraboa, Everyone else (IND) Timber looked back, waiting for Night and Boa to catch up. "I guess once we reach the water Merlin will tell us." He said, beginning to trot again. "But we have to get there soon before he leaves us behind..." His paws hit the round hard from sleep, but he ignored it and continued to the sound of water. The stream was long, but narrow and easy to cross. He stopped, looking around almost everyone was there by now, except Night and Boa. He waved his tail and sat down. The water was cool, lapping against his paws. He could feel the odd tingling in his head leave, and his senses returning.

Recon | Beta | Male | M: Doji & Deverick "Take it easy Doji," He rumbled, the relaxed state he had been in earlier, had immediately disappeared, tense muscles and determined eyes replacing the softness he had shown moments before, "We dont want the poor guy to drown." The beta waided into the water, ignoring the way it seeped into his skin and he wasn't quite sure what brushed against his leg but, he couldn't afford to care. Recon stepped over to Deverick's other side, using his muzzle as a shovel to gently splash water over the subordinate's back. "How you feeling, kid?" He asked after a moment despite Deverick was only a few months younger than him. The water weighed down his fluffy brindle coat, dripping down his sides but for the most part, it seemed to just roll off of him.

Lidiya - F - Subordinate - Mention(s): Anubis ~ Lidiya was about to ask if he was alright, but then decided not to. He seemed fine. Plus, she usually wouldn't care, would she? Instead, she nodded at Anubis. They really didn't have much of a choice but to follow Merlin as the entire entourage wound down the slope towards the river. Now she was thinking it, she did need quite a bit of water. And then some. So it wasn't entirely because she had to, but more of she also needed water too, as she reluctantly stuck to the back of the group as the ten or so wolves as they moved down the slope, heading for the river that - from the brief moments that she had tuned into Merlin's yap - his Beta had discovered for him. Fancy that. He didn't even do it and was now leading the entire pack to them. Looking behind, she angled her head a bit, in silent question for Anubis to join her side. It wasn't many wolves in the pack that she was able to talk (almost) freely with. They either disapproved of her, didn't like her, and/or their goals just never matched up with hers. Anubis was... slightly different in that regard. At least, they both had similar thoughts and opinions n the majority of the pack. Especially the Alpha, who almost felt as if he was now taking credit for something he didn't do. Lidiya sighed and kept following, like she had to. ~~~ Deverick - M - Subordinate - Mention(s): Doji and Recon ~ Deverick's internal marching band was getting better, but it still was present, which was the issue. Rather than repeating "I'm fine" again to the two of them, he decided to break for it and tell them really what he felt. They could have just ignored him, after all. "Hot. Achey head. Tender legs." Really, that was - in a nutshell - what he was feeling right now. Which was such a great way to start off, was it not? Even he could see that most of the pack wasn't in such a condition, and briefly wondered what was in the sedative he had been given. Plunging his head below the water - holy gods, the water felt so cool to his achey head - he simply stayed there for a bit. He wasn't trying to drown himself - just revelling in the cool that the water brought him. But all too soon, he had to raise it again, and the headache came back. If only there was a way to remove it, that would be quite nice. "Just... give me a minute." Deverick looked back at the two of them and saw the rest of the wolf-dogs following Merlin to the spot that Recon and Doji were earlier. "They're coming," he said, jerking his head at the others. "You can go ahead... I should be able to join you in a minute." Edited at November 4, 2024 04:39 PM by Boeing

Echo/Subordinate/Female/Mentions: Pack Echo quickly made her way checking on everyone and started walking to follow though she was also keeping a eye on everyone even Merlin who didn't appear to want to talk. She was eager to get to the water as fast as possible. Echo was tired yes but she was trying to help Merlin. Her panting started to get faster and she was beginning to feel pain from not drinking but she made sure to keep walking while cursing the sun. They were going to water soon. "Just keep walking", she muttered to herself quietly. Echo kept on counting heads though she had a feeling that Anubis would wander off which wouldn't surprise her. She was here in case anyone needed her. Edited at November 5, 2024 10:07 AM by Feiella

Sable/Female/Subordinate/m: Inderect: Merlin and the pack. direct: Kiran Sable followed Merlin’s orders and went with the pack to the water. She was getting thirstier by the second. She saw Kiran walking up next to her and trotted along side her. “I’m fine thank you. Just a little worried now that we’re out here and don’t have anything to protect us from the predators,” She knew that Merlin would have a plan once they arrived, so for now, she just had to trust in his leadership like usual. Her mouth was getting unbearably dry and all she could think about was drinking. When she finally heard water close by, she felt ecstatic. She wanted to run toward it but remembered Merlin’s command and stayed with the group. He had been stricter than he usual, but she understood it was what the group needed right now if they were going to survive.

Anubis | Male | Subordinate A| M: Lidiya The white male followed Lidiya as they neared the river. He found a perfect perch to bend down to drink some water. He hated water, but he slowly climbed himself into the cold water letting out a deep sigh of relief. Anubis slowly came out as his fur started to weigh down from the water. Anubis shook off the dripped water sending a spray of water around him. He looked at Lidiya and invited her with a nod of his head to lay or sit beside him as he laid on the cool grass. He watched Merlin come out of the grass. He scoffed, “So what’s your plan, alpha.” (not my best, but more descriptive and longer posts now)
