I had to rehome my ferret today. I had to rehome him because me and my mom are moving and where we are moving requires paperwork for emotional support animals.

We already have two dogs and it's only one animal per person. Another reason is transportation, if he were to get sick we would have no way to get him to the right vet as the nearest one for ferrets is an hour away and we currently have no proper transportation versus our dogs vet being down the street at our new place.

I'm sad and I miss him but I know his new owner will take good care of him, he has whole room for himself to free roam properly, he gets to travel a lot now, and he has better access for health. I also get updates about him(and possible visits in the future) and how he's doing so far, and he seems to be settling in pretty good.

One of the worst things in life is losing a pet. Pets are like family, and they are the best thing I have ever had. I'm heartbroken for you, but I'm telling you to take good care of your doggos! Your ferret remembers you.
