I have a little lab x shar pei that takes down the 120 shepherds with ease, a cur, ridgeback and little yappy dog as well as two 120 pound Guardian livestock dogs at the barn. At least during the day the rooster keeps unwanted people away.

Lol! The only aggressive rooster I have doesn't even come half way up my lower leg. He's tiny. That and I keep all my chickens in the back. My largest boy is... 180 pounds? My lightest is around 120-130. Maybe more for both of those numbers. And my puppy has nearly outgrown the large boy in height. So, yeah. Good luck ta anyone who tries anything. :`)

I wish!! I want a doberman so badly, such badass dogs *^* . Original Rooster is a massive Lavender Orpington. He came at me while I was feeding and knelt down, knocked me to the ground and I now have a scar next to my eye from the fucker. He nailed a UPS driver for going off course to the gate to look at the 4-wheeler and ripped his jeans x.x I hate the rooster, only comes after people and just watched the GLD kill 17 hens Friday.

I honestly want a belgian malinois, but I wouldn't have the time for it. That or some small dog as it's been some time since I've owned one. And oh my- Most of the roosters I have are mixbreds. The small, aggressive boy is a frizzle-polish mix. Though, we got unlucky so he has neither the frizzle feathers or the pom-pom head of feathers. Also, I'm sorry, 17 hens?! Holy smoke-

Aww I want a frizzle! His kids seem to be doing a better job then him though, so that's good. Yeah... I came home after work to see him out. I jumped out of the car knowing very well that he'd most likely been at the coop. My 17 hens all buried under the dead oak trees, most of which had been eaten. Damn dog is lucky to be alive and to still have his balls, which won't be for much longer

Lol! Yeah, there's a reason we keep all my dogs separate from the chickens. Especially considering that the two of them have a higher prey drive then my hunting dogs. Beagles ta be specific. Gets a bit tricky, though, when it comes ta my rooster. He's incredibly friendly and runs up ta me all the time. However, that means he jumps through the fence in the morning when he sees me. Even when the dogs are out. :`)

For the most part he is kept in his pen with the alpacas, but of course, I left for eight hours and he got out. My sister couldn't be bothered to go and see what the noise was about. I'm very devoted to my chickens :") To the point where I've chased foxes barefoot in the snow at 4 AM to get a hen back. Neighbors dog jumping on them? Chase it away while throwing shovels at it as the ridgeback would destroy the poor puppy. I've called animal control for my chickens without a second thought. At least my lab is great with them and let's them ride on his back through the garden xD

I'm getting ta that point for my chickens. Well, specifically for the nice ones. I fear whenever my nice one jumps the fence. Thankfully, he kinda likes being carried, so he's easy ta grab. Anyway, Imma head ta bed myself. It's a... a tad late where I'm at now. Night. ^^
