Very brief and non fleshed out backstory for Celestine, going to expand upon later. Also if anything goes against the lore, let me know and I'll work something else out :) Celestine was once a member of an incredibly powerful clan of dragons up in a far off kingdom. They were known for their immense pride, looking down upon all those they thought of as lesser. Celestine was practically considered royalty among them, the darling of his kin. He lead their soldiers, and was expected to one day become head of the clan itself. Celestine was, however, overcome with hubris. His land had been plagued with wicked spirits for a millennia, sewing discord and fear. He believed that he would be the one to purify the kingdom. During his battle with the eldest spirit, he was gravely injured and struck from the sky. He was not killed though, for the spirit had other plans. As he fell, a terrible curse was placed upon him. His form changed to that of a human, albeit still with influences from his previous life. The spirit cushioned his fall with a pillow of wind as he descended into the ocean. Celestine was picked up by a fishing crew, whom he thrstuff cheeksened into bringing him back to shore. Dragging himself up to his Clan's layer, he begged for the mercy of his kin after his failure. The highest members of the Clan -- the people he had been raised by -- cast him back out, rejecting him for his failure and weaker body. Dejected and angry, Celestine declared that they would regret ever turning their backs on him. His passion fueled, he left hidnest on the first merchant ship that arrived at the port. He changed his name and inesttity, too ashamed for anyone to know what had befallen him. At the next port, he caught wind of a mysterious artifact that had the ability to reverse any curse and cure any ailment. Tracking down a ship heading to locate it, Celestine vowed his loyalty to the crew. To this day he is determined to break the curse, but what happens when he has to make a choice between his old family and his new one? |

The moment I posted that I noticed some mistakes noooooo... this is very crusty writing by the way, not really cleaned up at all Oh also, how long have they been searching for the treasure? I'd imagine Celes has been on the ship for a few years so depending on how long it's been I might need to rewrite some stuff. That was really just an outline so I wouldn't be too bothered by fixing stuff up |

don't have lola fleshed out very much, like at all aside from an appearance ref i made for her. but i do have a little TEENY backstory tidbit . essentially, in her homeland, whatever that is when i eventually work it out, she studied under a. wizard of some form. of physics form. magical physics. as a catfolk lola doesnt have THAT much natural magic, and she's not that interested in using magic. but she's real interested in theorizing about magic and all... but then she abandoned that life to plunder booty! or whatever. who needs to be an academic when you can be a quartermaster? . lola is one of the longest-running crew members and has a real eye for the prize. the prize being whatever money she can get her grubby paws on. with her job being distributing out the loot they get among the crew, and bartering eith ehat nobody particularly wants, lola tries to keep it fair. but nice pirates might get a lil extra. . also, she's real stuck about proper titles. there's only a few crewmates she's on a first-name basis with. she expects to be called ma'am or miss newbery and nothing less, and she'll refer to other crewmates the same way. . she's also a bit. mean. well, she's a pirate that kind of thing is given but even to her crewmates she's rather cold. sometimes she takes real joy out of teasing someone who isnt in the best place . but she's a pirate so i mean there's worse she's doing on the side. like brutality. |

I just wrote 900 words of backstory for Siansa in first person just to realize it sounds cringy *^* |

Nooo that's all good!! Cringe culture is dead, I personally don't mind. Especially when you're just writing for fun!! :) |

page 4 has the base idea for the magic system, me n los campesinos are building off it in private. Page 13 has a rough idea of geography and location names. most of this has just been bouncing character ideas around and more ways to explore the plot. I've briefly mentioned when I'm thinking of posting the official sign-ups, probably going to be when i get confirmation that everyone is caught up, lore is finalized (mainly magic related), etc etc also i think I'll have sign-ups be Open to the public but this group gets first dibs on roles 💯 just to see if we can fish in more crew members speaking of dibs DIBS ON THE NAVY CAPTAIN!! because me n los made a cool magic lore idea for them |
