i have two stubborn lesbian OCs and writing relationships has never felt more real with them,, like when i'm writing about them getting in arguments (because romantic couples fight face it-) it just,,, feels more real, you know? i'm horrible at writing not stubborn characters >> |

Oh, no. My stubborn OC's aren't like that, and there's always the possibility to change their mind. Or they can change their own mind, once they realized they've goofed up. Like with the new OC I'm working on that you read the personality of. Robine. Someone she cares about could fall ill and she could be the only one able to get them the cure. She'd take it seriously, becoming fiercely determined to ultimately complete this goal. Shes partly a character that has the tendency to act on her good intention, while being able to be strongly stubborn and dead-set on something, especially so for another person that means something important to her.

Edit: She obviously has breaking points, as well. Points where she can be more fragile. :P

Yeah, there are different kinds of stubborn. Those that hold grudges until an apology is made (coughmecough). But once there's an apology said, I drop all frustration just like that. Yeah, it's not great. There's the kind of stubborn that lends itself to a complete lack of an open mind, and vis versa. There's a stubborn towards one's self, likely pertaining to one's personal standards - so, perfectionism - which also pretty accurately describes me. Unwillingness to try new things, etc. Stubbornness isn't just one trait active in every decision and life choice. |
