Skylar stared at him, ready to burst. Clenching his jaw and fists, he looked down as he shook his head. "No you're fucking not." Skylar replied to Alex saying he was going home. No matter how mad he was at Alex, or should he say himself, he wasn't going to let Alex go home, especially not alone. When Alex left his room, Sky's eyes widened a bit because he realized he was serious. He rushed after him, grabbing a tight hold of his wrist. "You're drunk, so you're not leaving this fucking house." Skylar said with an almost possessive tone. His grip on Alex's wrist was almost enough to cut off his circulation, but he didn't let go, instead, he pulled him closer, forcing Alex to face him.

Alex had heard Skylar's response but he didn't give a fuck. Who the hell did he think he was, telling him he couldn't go home? He'd go home when he damned well pleased, drunk or not. After leaving Skylar's room he moved towards the front door, his steps as quick as he could manage. He didn't bother to try to put on his shoes, he'd do that outside, or a block down. Instead, all he wanted to do was get out of here, put some distance between himself and Skylar, and give himself some room to breathe and to think... When he felt his wrist being grabbed he stiffened his eyes widening. At Skylar's words, he clenched his jaw hating what he'd said, and hating the fact that he loved that borderline possessive tone he'd used. "Let go of my, Skylar." He said, attempting to pull away from him and get his hand free.

Skylar kept his grip on Alex's wrist, and as soon as he tried to free his hand, he grabbed the other wrist and held it just as tight. "I don't give a fuck how mad you are at me, you are not going home. If you really don't wanna be here then I can take you back to your friends or get them to come pick you up, but you are not fucking leaving this house alone, got it?" Sky stated, keeping the same tone from before. He stared at him with a possessive look, almost forgetting everything that had just happened. He wanted to keep him safe still, despite all the fighting that had occurred.

Alex could feel his wrist throbbing from how tightly Skylar was holding it, and when he tried to pull free he tensed as his other hand was grabbed. When Sky spoke he paused his eyes widening in surprise before he tensed and clenched his jaw. That was a cruel offer to make. He couldn't go back to his friends without a million questions being asked, questions he very much would rather avoid. And Skylar seemed damn determined not to let him go home alone. But above all of that, despite the pain in his shoulder, the throbbing of his wrists, and the fact that he suddenly found himself a hostage in Skylar's home, his heart still seemed to miss a beat at the possessive tone and the look that Skylar was giving him. Something had to be wrong with him, like seriously fucking wrong, for him to find Skylar's possessiveness in this situation hot? And attempting to distract himself from that thought he stepped away from him. "Sky, let me go." He said a little firmer this time as he tried to pull his wrists free. "You're hurting me." Skylar's jaw clenched as Alex spoke, shaking his head. With the next thing Alex added, Sky's eyes widened a bit in realization. Skylar still didn't let go, instead, he loosened his grip a little. It was still tight but bearable. Skylar didn't want to risk Alex turning around and leaving. "Choose Alex!" Skylar demanded, his voice a little louder. Every so slightly, he found himself pulling Alex even closer. Why did Sky want to be close to Alex when he had just pushed him away? Sky was confused himself, and Alex was probably just as confused.

Alex continued to resist, to try and get his wrists free from Skylar's inescapable hold. He half expected his words would be ignored, but when he saw the way Sky's eyes widened in realization and felt him loosen his grip just enough for the pain to go away he stilled. When he was ordered to choose he tensed and dropped his gaze. "I can't have them take me home." He said quietly after a moment. It wasn't like he had much of a choice. He didn't want to explain anything, didn't want to find himself bombarded with questions, and he sure as hell didn't want to accidentally slip up and say something he shouldn't. "So I guess I'm stuck here." He grumbled as he looked up at Skylar. "You do realize I'm more than capable of walking myself home right, whether or not I've had a few drinks." He said after a moment.

Skylar finally let go of Alex's wrists, hoping he wouldn't try anything. "No I don't realize because I practically had to carry you to my house." Skylar said, crossing his arms and staring down at Alex. "I know you don't wanna be here, but believe it or not I need you Alex, and I'm sorry." Skylar said, uncrossing his arms. His gaze softened ever so slightly the more he stared at Alex. He let his gaze fall down to Alex's hands, still carrying his shoes. He then grabbed his shoes from his hands and threw them at his front door.

Alex knew better than to try anything when Skylar let go of his wrists. He doubted he'd manage to get far if he did attempt to get out of the house. At the mention of him practically having to carry him to the house he tensed, before sighing in slight annoyance. He hated the fact that he had a point there and that because of it, he was forced to face reality. The odds of him getting home, he had to admit were slip. He would likely end up falling at some point and find it too difficult to stand up. When he heard Skylar speak again Alex looked up at him and then paused at his apology. "It's not that I don't want to be here..." He said starting to try and explain himself before he trailed off and shook his head. It didn't matter. "It's... fine." He found himself saying after a long moment of silence.

Sky shook his head at Alex's words. "No it's not fine Alex. I should be letting you in, I just hate bringing you down with me." Sky spoke honestly, locking his eyes onto Alex's. At least Sky didn't have to hide himself anymore when he was with Alex, even though he probably should. He didn't want Alex staring, but that would be a choice Alex makes. Sky doesn't want to be stuck wearing hoodies and sweats all the time. "I don't even know what to do. I can't turn back to drugs." Sky said, running his hand through his hair. His eyes became tired, and he wanted to collapse on his bed and forget about the whole night. It started out fun, but certainly didn't end fun.

Alex's eyes were quick to snap up and to Skylar's when he heard his first few sentences. "You aren't bringing me down with you." He said firmly. "And even if you were, it would be my choice to make." He said as he watched him. He was grateful for the honesty, more so than he could even begin to express. So instead he let his expression soften and his town soften more. As Skylar continued, Alex chewed at his bottom lip and gave a nod. "I'm... proud of you for not going back to the drugs, Sky." He said as he watched him. He could see the tiredness in his eyes and was fairly certain his own held similar exhaustion. He was worn out and all he wanted to do, now that his attempt to get away had been foiled, was sleep. He wanted to sleep the dizziness and nausea away, the hurricane of emotions, the fight he had with Skylar. He wanted to sleep all of it away. "I don't know what to do either... but maybe we can figure it out together..." He offered, tentatively as if he was afraid even if that suggestion had the potential to cause another fight. He wanted to touch him, to hold him, to kiss him, and promise him that everything would be okay, but he didn't allow himself to do any of those things. After being pushed away once, and with Skylar just now beginning to open the gate for him to walk in, he didn't want to risk or ruin that.
