I finish changing and just sit on the edge of the ledge, my legs swinging over the side. I watch Pierce and Alex and sigh. I wish I could go sit with Skylar, but he obviously doesn't want anyone bothering him. I pick up a shard of glass and study my reflection, wondering. What had happened to Darcy? Why were the defenses down? And most importantly, where were the monsters? |

I close my eyes and squeeze it, making it blue. I pet Alex's head before pushing myself um and shifting to a hawk to fly up to Lyka. I perch on one foot while I hand her the cup with the other, smiling. |

Alex Wolff || Thunder Student || Animal Shifter || F - I watch Pierce fly away with the cup. I shift to a human and wrap the blanket around myself. I take a spare and go put it around Skylar. I let him be. Then I go huddle agaist the wall and try to keep warm. |

I jump as he lands and snaps me out of my thoughts. "Thanks!" I say, admiring the cup. I smile at him. I'm almost glad that this happened, so that I would get to know him better. I pet his soft hawk feathers, admiring their beautiful colors. Then I realized that I hadn't been talking to Alex much. "Hey, do you wanna come up?" I call, stroking Pierce a bit apologetically. |

I turn to Pierce and reply, "I have no doubt you could melt that, but it's my cup! Melt this instead." I handed him a shard of glass, melting the edges a bit so it was smooth and wouldn't cut him. Then I shifted to a bird too, a kestrel, even though it was smaller than the hawks. |
