I wasn't sure if I was talking to her or just realising it myself. "he'll be fine. he'll be fine. he won't die. he's strong. he can survive this. he has night. he won't leave the pups. he's fine. he's fine..." I continued muttering comforting things to myself. I probably looked insane but I needed to distract myself from freezing in terror. Wander... "Hello" I managed to mutter, stuttering as I spoke "Nice rabbit. Looks very dead" What am I even saying? "I mean-" I gave up and sighed, looking back at Ace with concern, tears in my eyes. |
