Tiger Lily scraped the ground with her claws. She had found a skin's den with a Large fenced area with many shrubs and a few trees. She was now hiding in the foliage hoping that a bird or a mouse would appear. She didn't usually try to ambush prey, preferring to sneak up on it but there wasn't much prey around anyways so this might work out.

Rock curled up next to her to keep her warm. He put his head over her neck to keep watch for enemies. If that cat wanted to strike now was the time to do it. His eyes peered out in front of him. But not behind him.

Ensom saw the two cats lay down next to each other. One of them, who he assumed was Mouse, quite clearly fell asleep. He saw her chest rise slower and slower. The other was still awake, but the tom wasn't facing him. I can't go over and attack... If I do it would awake the sleeping one. I have to move the fight somewhere else... Yes.. He backed up slowly and moved to the next alley over. There, he pushed over a half-full trashcan, making a slightly noisy commotion.

Judging on how fast the she-cat went to sleep, she was tired. So surely this noise wouldn't motivate her to get up. But the tom on the other hand would want to protect her... Curiosity killed the cat. He snickered quietly to himself and he ran and hid behind some trashcans that just so happened to be between the knocked over trashcan and the entrance to the alley.

Mouse' tail twitched a bit as a trashcan fell nearby, but she was too tired to care. She moved in her sleep so she was closer to Rock.

Rock heard the trashcan fall. Was it the murderer? He couldnt take any chances. If he was going to hurt Mouse or anyone else, he wouldnt lwt him. He left Mouse sleeping peacefully and got up inbthe direction of the fallen trashcan. This is it you murderer he thought, racing towards the noise.

Ensom curled his tail with excitement as he heard one pair of pawsteps heading his way. He crouched down lower and stiffly waited for the cat to approach.

Rock finnaly found the fallen trashcan. Nothing seemed out of place. Probably just a dog he thought confused, flicking his ear. He nosed around to see if any food was there, since he and Mouse hadnt eaten in a long time. He felt the air get tense and when he looked up, he looked in the sharp cold eyes of another cat.

Mouse shivered, it felt cold and she woke up but she kept her eyes closed. She was too tired to care. She shifted, trying to get in a comfortable position. Huh, Rock isn't here...she shrugged the thought off, he was probably hunting. She kept her ears open though, just in case.

He stared into the cats eyes. He knew this cat. The torn ear, ugly face. It was the murderer. He wanted to flee, but if he did, he would killvor hurt Mouse. He wouldnt lwt him. "You." He called to the cat. "Why, why have you killed cats, for what purpose?" He remembered Drats body. "You will never kill again."

Ensom growled with disgust. Why had he hesitated too long? "None of your business!" He hissed and lunged at the orange tom. He attempted to knock him over and claw his face.
