Not what she was expecting but the day has been unexpected. The heat was slowly getting to her but she did her best to stay calm. As nice as the other fox she had to get back to her farm.

"Would you like some berries for you and any other foxes that might enjoy some? Maybe your mate or friends? I have other fruit otherwise", offered Nightshade.

She had grown too much fruit so far.

Nori fluffed her fur slightly, trying to get airflow between the hairs. "My mate might like some, but I have no clue where he is. I might bring some back for when he returns. You said you were a trader, anything I can give you to trade for some fruit?" Nori asks.

Yellow eyes regarded the other fox carefully before turning, walking to where she hid her berries then walked back to Nori and dropped several berries in between them. The brown and white vixen thought about Nori's words.

"I'll take information but there I would also take prey. Either of those would be fine Nori", explained Nightshade to the gray vixen.

If Nori didn't have anything or want to tell her anything then Nightshade offered the gray fox a second option. Food is always a option that the red fox wouldn't find taking.

Nori considered the offer. "I do not know much that would interest you. I can provide my knowledge or herbs and toxic plants. Or my paws in aid when you need them. I have a squirrel hidden in the forest as well." Nori says. She sniffs the berries. The appetizing scent wafts up her nose. Her stomach grumbles.

Thinking of the offers carefully before dismissing the herbs as she does grow some though away from any fruit, as curious as she was about Nori's first words about knowing Nightshade had her curious but not enough and she quickly dismissed the paws in aid. Last thing she wanted was a annoyed or angry leader.

"I thank you for your offer of help when I need it but I rather not have a annoyed or angry leader coming to my farm and they might not be happy about that offer. The squirrel will be fine Nori", said Nightshade to the gray vixen.

Nori walked off. Coming back, she placed the squirrel on the ground and pushing it forward. The sleek grey fur brushes against her black paw. "My offer of help still stands anytime you need it. I can deal with my leader." Nori smiles and takes the berries.

Taking the squirrel then turning around and she ran back to her farm where she checked on the garden before going into her burrow with the squirrel. She ate the squirrel and went to curl up to go to sleep. At least the trade had gone well and the other fox had been friendly.

Firestorm found a mossy boulder in the sunlight and hopped on top, then layed down. His eyes were half-closed in relaxation and he tried not to doze off. He didn't want to end up like the main character of a cautionary tale a mother told her kits about unobservant foxes getting scooped up by eagles. He yawned and layed there for a while, but eventually he realized he wanted to do something more active. He wanted to do something fun with one of his skulkmates.

He returned to camp. "It's beautiful out!" He said. "Anyone want to go hunting with me?"

Chestnut returned with his rabbit that he had caught just as he heard the words and turned to look at the other red fox. Putting his rabbit down as he started listing off names in his head.

"I've just returned from hunting. Not sure where Nori or Candy are", said Chestnut placing a paw on his rabbit.

"Okay," Firestorm said. "Should we look for them?" His paws itched to get going. He supposed he could just hunt by himself, but he found group hunts more fun. They could chat as they searched for prey.
