Yeah I’ve heard about a coyote with rabies since I moved to where I am now, and I haven’t been here for long. I probably should’ve worried more about how that stray cat was acting now that I think about it

If there’s a chance of rabies, it’s not just good to call someone who can deal with it, it’s important to do so to prevent it from spreading. Hopefully someone that will put it in quarantine and watch for more symptoms instead of dealing with it in other ways

Makya's eyelids drifted shut, and his body relaxed. He'd just have to hope Chasm would be there when he awoke. He never slept for long anyways.

Chasm's muzzle rested on the ground as he himself drifted off. Here, with Makya, he forgot that he would probably be punished for not completing his patrol. His tense body relaxed as he fell asleep, breathing slowly.

In what felt like only minutes, Makya awoke again. He felt refreshed, and he could actually walk now- though running would be a bit of a stretch. He notice Chasm was still asleep, and Makya curled up against him, waiting for him to wake up so Makya could help him make up for his lost patrol time.

Chasm opened an eye ever so slightly at feeling Makya against him. He smiled internally and tried to control his heart rate. He didn't feel like ruining the moment, so he closed his eye again, pretending to still be asleep.
