Leona/female hybrid/Seer Leona nodded knowing what he meant and kept making her way to the stream. She paused for a bit and saw a flash of shadows and a flash of teeth before it was gone. She quickly snapped to attention and decided to pay no attention to it. Not enough information and it could have meant anything. Besides she rather not scare off Ghost. "Secretly I liked the Dusk group before. You have no judgement from me", reassured Leona before changing direction and paused sniffing the air. Did she scent another hybrid and a member from Dawn? There was another scent that she knew however faint. Still she was thirsty. She was heading to the stream no matter what. "Stay alert", murmured Leona to Ghost. Jolene/female dingo/Dawn's beta She looked at Rudd with a calm and neutral look. Cary wasn't back yet but she didn't focus on that. While she would admit Rudd is a good leader however in her mind she didn't trust him but he was still the leader. "No. I went out to patrol and hunt but found nothing about them but I gave my squirrel to Rizou", she replied quietly. Pausing for a bit but biting her tounge and instead had to see how Rudd felt about being the new leader. "We should still becareful. How are you at feeling at being leader in a short time?", she said quietly to Rudd. Edited at February 18, 2025 08:45 PM by Feiella

Carys | Dawn | Seer | Belgian Groenendael Shepherd - The female took a step back as her mate brushed passed her to pace back and forth. The worried look in the male's eyes did not help whatsoever with the growing concern moving through her mind. Struggling to find her own words, Carys sat back on her haunches- her head looking up from the ground to follow the movements of the hybrid in front of her. The mention of exile or possible...death caused the canine's ears to pin flat against her head, a small whine leaving her throat as her gaze turned back to the ground. "Ruslan..." The male had started pacing quicker, his tail thrashing from side to side, and his eyes seemed to look anywhere but at Carys. She was quiet for a long moment before standing, a shaky sigh emitting from her jaws. What was she to do? What could she do? "Ruslan- please," She moved forward, her steps tentative as she proceeded to step in front of him- her head leaning down to brush against his neck. "Look at me." She waited, her breaths coming out in small whines as she spoke her next words carefully. "I... I can't lie to my pack. It's not something I think I could live with- I... Ruslan, I dont know what to do. I'm scared... but I understand if you dont want to be a part of it. It would only put you in more danger..." She pulled back, her eyes rimmed with moisture. Carys didn't know what she would do if Ruslan wasn't there with her when the puppies were born... but she also knew it was a lot to ask of him to stay with her during the pregnancy and she wasnt going to command him to stay if he thought it was too dangerous. But oh how her heart wanted to.

Rudd | Dawn | Leader | Pure Wolf The wolf nodded slowly, taking in the information. No, one death would not completely satisfy the exiled hybrids, but it seems they were in no rush either. Dawn would have to take the opportunity to strengthen itself for when they made their next move. Even better if they could figure out what the exiled were plotting. As Jolene continued, he nodded again, this time in agreement. “We should be careful,” Rudd echoed, “but we absolutely cannot allow ourselves to be ruled in fear either.” His ears perked up at her question. “It is not a very desirable position, in light of… you know.” He looked away, his ears briefly flattening to the sides before rising again. “But it must be filled. There is much to do to… untangle what has been done.” He took a few paces to the camp entrance. “I have already patrolled east. The west should be secured as well.”

Nikolai - Dusk Scout ~ Gah. There really wasn't a way out of this, not matter which direction that Nikolai looked at it. Soooooo... it looked like he had to pretty much just go back on border patrol. Despite having just done exactly that. "... alright, as you wish." Nikolai's annoyance, although slightly violent, was very short-lived. It was his job to simply scout and patrol the lands at this time. Who knows, maybe they'd find something different this time - although his hopes weren't that high for that. Nonetheless, he willingly put himself back into the task that he had just done - patrolling. Despite having woken up before the crack of dawn, he didn't feel sleepy anymore. He was back to using all his senses again to look for stuff that wasn't meant to be there... like the vile hybrid smell. While Nikolai tried to be indifferent on whether the hybrids stayed or left, the one thing that irked him was that they just smelt... off. For example, there was the tiger smell coming from the feline in front of him, then there was... Nikolai would quitely call it an abomination, but really, he'd always say hybrid. Even when it was a losing battle, he tried being neutral. Like how kicking them out of the pack was wrong. But still... he had his own true opinion. He just didn't want to say it.

Jolene/Female dingo/Dawn's beta Quite a mess indeed but maybe it is time for a bit of a walk. Jolene did give him credit though because she was sure that most would have bolted instead of taking leadership after what happened. She studied Rudd and stood up to walk to stretch then head out but paused to look back at the leader. "At least you had the courage to step up. Any others would have ran", said Jolene. The female dingo thought for a bit. Maybe another patrol? Another hunt? Herb searching? She also needed to find Cary before Rudd realizes she may have been gone far longer. "I would like to go on another patrol. While there wasn't anything before I would like to keep patrolling for a bit. I will try to bring more food back since there doesn't seem to be enough. Unless there is something you would like me to do?", offered Jolene almost leaving but paused to look at Rudd.

Midnight • Female bengal tiger • Dusk pride beta - Midnight led the way sticking to shadows if possible. She couldn't share with Nikolai that she was doing this to try to reassure Berite so she didn't attempt to create conversation. Every now and then she stopped to smell the air. She purposely adjusted to follow the trail Nikolai had come from, mainly as a place to start. She stopped at the very edge of the borders. She sniffed around but only caught Nikolai's scent. She continued along the border heading north. She paused for a second. "Remember to keep aware. As soon as I get a scent I want to investigate it. Tell me if you smell anything different." She said as she started to walk again.

Nikolai - Dusk Scout ~ Nodding silently, Nikolai walked slightly behind Midnight along the trail, senses once again aliert. Although, it may not have been his best - he was almost certain they wouldn't find anything new from half an hour ago. Always assume something's changed. It was the scouting motto that he'd drilled into himself, and he tried to follow it to the best extent he could, but really... it has been half an hour. While Nikolai couldn't understand why Midnight wanted to instantly go back onto patrol, he couldn't really argue with it. The more patrols the better. Still, just... ugh. Nikolai didn't really know what to make of it, and although he tried to keep himself alert, really he had been up since before dawn already without a break. He might have had a few small lapses where he wasn't at his most alert, but... it had been half an hour, after all. Plus, Midnight would probably sense something off first, given that she was in front. It wasn't an excuse for complacency, but he felt damned close to it. Still listening, still watching... just not with the exact same attentiveness that he had had earlier.
