Skylar intently listened to Alex's responses. Since he was calmer now, he wanted to be close to Alex. From now on, he vowed to himself not to shut Alex out. Taking a step closer, Sky reached his arms out for Alex. He then snaked his arms around Alex's neck, bringing his head to his chest and hugging him. Letting out a sigh, he closed his eyes before resting his head against Alex's. "Im sorry, I'll try and get my shit together." Skylar spoke softly. After a moment, he pulled away. "You don't have to sleep in my room, you can sleep on the couch if you want to, but I'm going to bed." Skylar said, looking over at the couch in the living room. He didn't wait for Alex's answer, turning around and walking back to his room. Once he got inside, he immediately took off his hoodie because he was getting too hot. Then he took off his pants and put on shorts.

Alex tensed slightly when Skylar stepped towards him. He looked up at him and swallowed thickly before his gaze dropped to his arms. He watched as he reached out for him and then felt his arms wrapped around him, pulling him closer in a hug. He was stiff and still for a moment before he moved to snake his own arms around Skylar in an embrace. When he heard him apologize once more he let himself relax a little and then shook his head. "Don't try to do it all yourself..." He mumbled quietly and then looked up at Skylar when he pulled away. He let go of him, his arms dropping to his sides. When he continued, Alex glanced towards the couch. He'd be lying if he said some part of him, still offended and upset over the argument, wanted to sleep on the couch, but he mainly found he wanted to stay close to Sky. He turned to look back at Skylar and was about to answer only to find that he was already turning around and walking back to his room. For a second, Alex simply watched him walk away before he moved to follow after him, putting a lot of focus into each step he took all the while silently praying that he didn't end up falling over.

Skylar grabbed his LED light remote and turned the colour to purple before turning the brightness down. If Alex chose to sleep in here tonight, he wanted to make sure it wasn't entirely dark in case he had to throw up in the middle of the night or early in the morning. Sky then sat on his bed for a moment, his expression falling as he slightly frowned. What the fuck is wrong with me? He stared down at his arms and the cuts that were peeking just past his shorts. Maybe it's a good idea to stay covered up for himself, but he was way too hot for that right now. Slowly, he traced his fingers over his forearm, feeling all the bumps.

It took Alex a good couple of minutes to get to Skylar's room, and when he reached it he paused at the doorway and took note of the lights he'd turned on. He watched as Skylar began to trace his fingers over his arms and frowned slightly. After a few moments, he slowly moved into the room and made his way over to the bed. "If it's okay with you, I'd much rather sleep in here tonight." He said softly after a moment of silent debate on whether or not to say anything. He let his gaze drop to the marks on Skylar's arm, taking in the sight of them before making a point of looking away. He wouldn't stare, and he certainly wouldn't judge. Doing either he was sure would make Skylar uncomfortable and/or hurt him. When he reached the bed he moved to sit down on the edge of it next to Skylar and let out a soft sigh. It was such a relief, he realized to be sitting. The world continued to tilt and spin but he didn't feel like he had to constantly shift his balance or lean on a wall so as not to fall over.

As soon as he noticed Alex, he found himself trying to hide his arms. "Yeah, it's fine." Sky replied, slightly relieved that Alex would rather sleep with him instead of alone. Skylar moved to his side of the bed, getting under the covers. He didn't attempt to look at Alex before turning his back on him. Usually, Sky would kiss him goodnight and cuddle, but tonight he didn't feel like doing any. Taking a deep breath in, he got comfortable under the covers. His eyes then fell closed, but his mind continued to race.

If his mind had been clear, Alex might have noticed the way in which Skylar attempted to hide his arms the moment he had walked into his room. But it wasn't, it was far from being even slightly clear. His thoughts were all muddled, slow, and heavy thanks to the alcohol and yet trying to flip as quickly as they could thanks to the events of the past several minutes. His stomach hurt and churned with nausea, and his shoulder ached, but more importantly, he found his heart feeling hollow. As if a hole had been dug out, leaving behind an empty cavity where his heart was supposed to be. Hearing Sky's answer to his question he gave a slight nod but fell quiet. There wasn't anything more to say, and so instead he remained sitting a while longer. Only after watching Skylar lay down to sleep did Alex move to do the same. He was hot, uncomfortably so and as a result, made no attempt to climb beneath the sheets. For a few minute,s he rested on his back before he rolled onto his side, his back to Skylar. He winced slightly at the weight on the shoulder he'd slammed into the door knob before letting out a soft sigh. Closing his eyes Alex hoped that sleep would find him soon, despite his racing thoughts and all that had transpired since coming back from the party.

Skylar laid awake for what felt like hours. Turning around, he found Alex's back facing him. Slowly, he got closer to Alex. Reaching Alex's back, he nuzzled his head into Alex's hair, breathing his scent in. Then, he hesitantly lifted his arm and placed it over Alex's waist, hugging him softly. Soon, the racing thoughts diminished. Sleep finally found Skylar.

Alex hadn't been able to fall asleep as swiftly as he had hoped he would. Instead, he laid awake for what felt like an eternity, and just when he'd begun to doze off, he felt the bed shift. Instantly his mind was trying to focus, and though he kept his eyes closed he paid attention to each movement that Skylar made as he rolled over. When he felt him nuzzle his head into his hair and breathe him in, he felt his breath catch. His hand, which had been resting on the fabric beneath him grabbed a fistful of it in response, and his heart lept into a racing rhythm. He didn't open his eyes though, and didn't move, even as he felt Skylars' arm draping over his waist in a soft and gentle hold. He felt the tension ease from his shoulders at the touch, at how gently Alex was spooning him, and as if in response he soon found himself drifting to sleep, lulled by the sound of Skylar's soft breaths and the warmth of his arm draped around him.

The morning sun crept through Skylar's curtains. He didn't wake up with a pounding headache or any nausea, which was amazing, but he didn't wake up feeling fine either. He woke up in the same position he had fallen asleep in. Slowly, he got up, rubbing the sleep away from his eyes. Skylar knew there was a high chance that when Alex woke up, he'd be extremely hungover. He wasn't ready to deal with that, especially if he ends up throwing up. Sky shook his head at the thought. Instead of getting up, Sky laid back down. Putting his arm back over Alex, he held him tight before closing his eyes again.

Alex could have gladly slept the day away, could have stayed in the realm of sleep and far from his cares and concerns in the real world. Unfortunately, as the sun shone through the curtains, lighting the room, Alex slowly began to stir. It started with his breathing gradually becoming more steady, not so shallow. Then he shifted slightly, his brows furrowing as he gradually became aware of a pounding headache. It felt like someone had slammed a sledgehammer into his skull, and the more aware he became of it as he woke, the more painful it became until finally he groaned softly and moved to roll over as if the act of doing so would somehow cure him of his headache. It was only as he was turning that he became aware of the weight and warmth of Skylar's arm around him, of the fact that he could feel Skylar's body tucked up against his own. A small smile managed to claw its way onto his lips, and after several long moments, he attempted to open his eyes. Instantly though he regretted it and quickly slammed his eyes closed when a jolt of pain shot through his head. He sucked in a breath and bit back a pained groan as he did so. Fuck... was this what a hangover felt like?
