Breathe, hide your feelings. Sky took a deep breath before dropping his expression and painting it with a new one, a soft smile. "Yeah." Sky softly replied before looking away. If you don't show your feelings, everything with be alright. Skylar's face immediately dropped once Alex left. Sky got up hesitantly and walked to the bathroom. He then quietly rummaged through his drawers, finding a facial razor. Freezing, he stared at it for a second before his body went into autopilot. He didn't stay in the bathroom for long because he wanted to put on clothes before Alex got back. Quickly, he got out of the bathroom and rushed to put on a pair of black sweatpants. His thighs hurt, but there was nothing else swarming his mind. Like he thought earlier, it would numb the pain he was feeling inside. He then sat down on the edge of the bed as he waited for Alex to come back.

Unaware of the inner turmoil and the thoughts that were going on in Skylar's mind, Alex nodded when he got an answer. If he played the part of a dutiful friend, and as long as he could be there for Skylar, then it didn't matter how he really felt, or his own pain and confusion. "I'll be right back then." He said and then with that, he left the room and headed for the kitchen. The bag with the drinks and snacks that they'd gotten from the store still rested on the table where he'd left it. A part of him felt guilty for abandoning it there and not at least trying to put everything away, or moving it out of the way and out of sight. Shaking his head he made his way towards it and moved to fish out his drink and the soda that Skylar had gotten. It wasn't long before he had them and moved to head back towards the room. It wasn't more than a few minutes before he stepped into the room and made his way over to Skylar. "Here." He said his tone warm and a small smile on his lips as he offered his drink to him once he reached him and the bed where he sat.

Skylar grabbed the drink from Alex's hand before motioning Alex to sit beside him. "Thanks." Sky said before opening his drink and chugging almost half of it. A small smile formed on his face, content with the fact that his mind was quiet. It was weird though. Alex wasn't in there, it was empty, and he kind of liked it. Sky's expression faltered for a second as he thought, but then he was quick to brush it off and look at Alex. He took a deep breath and looked at his drink before taking another sip, humming in satisfaction from the taste. He then screwed on the cap and set it down on his beside before turning his attention to Alex once again.

Alex let go of the drink once Skylar took it from him and when he was motioned to sit next to him he didn't hesitate to do just that. Letting out a soft sigh of contentment he sat down next to Skylar and moved to open his own drink. Bringing the edge of it to his lips he took a big swig of it before he screwed the cap back on and turned his attention to Skylar. He watched him a moment before he offered him a smile, not at all aware of the fact of what had happened in the short few minutes he'd left the room to get both his and Skylar's drinks. Keeping hold of his drink he let it rest in his lap before he looked away from Skylar and towards the door of the room. "Are you still tired?" He asked after a moment of silence as he glanced back at Skylar. If he was, he figured now would be a good time to actually try and rest instead of attempting to get Skylar to talk to him. Perhaps that's where he had gone wrong earlier, what had resulted in the souring of the mood and Skylar's irritation.

Skylar's gaze reached Alex's, and he let his expression soften up. Sky shrugged his shoulders in response to Alex's question. "Enough about me. Are you okay? That was something." Skylar said, a little concerned about Alex. He also nudged Alex's shoulder as he asked the question before he let his hand rest on Alex's thigh. He kept a soft smile on his face and refused to let his gaze leave Alex. He glanced down at his lips, but not for long. He had no clue what was going on in Alex's mind, but he knew that a lot was probably going on. Skylar had just taken him on an emotional rollercoaster.

Alex took note of how Skylar's expression seemed to soften. And when he spoke he hadn't missed the hint of concern in his tone. "I'm fine." He said with a nod, though he wasn't entirely sure he meant it. He was still trying to come to terms with what had just happened, what he'd seen, and how he had been left feeling. Not wanting to upset or burden Skylar with that information though he moved to take another sip of his drink. It was confusing, how Skylar was acting like everything was okay now, like he hadn't just had, for all intent and purpose, what Alex would call a breakdown. When his shoulder was nudged he chuckled faintly and gave a shrug. "I'm more worried about you than anything, Skylar." He admitted after a moment of silence as he looked up at him. He felt the warmth and the weight of Skylar's hand on his thigh but he didn't take his gaze off of him to look down at it.

Skylar shrugged again at Alex's words. "It was stupid, don't worry about it." Skylar replied, giving Alex another small smile. "Im sorry again, it was so fucking dumb. Let my thoughts get the best of me." Skylar said, in hopes of making Alex not worry as much. Sky absentmindedly rubbed Alex's thigh before looking down at his lap. Now what? What were they going to do now? Maybe it was time to call it a night, sleep everything off and then things would be better in the morning. "Maybe we should just call it a night, unless you want to watch something or eat?" Skylar suggested, returning his gaze to rest on Alex's.

Alex kept his gaze on Skylar and upon hearing him suggest that it was stupid, that letting his thoughts get the best of him was dumb, he frowned. "Don't say that..." He said firmly before he could stop himself. "It wasn't stupid." He added, ensuring that his voice was a little softer. As confusing and concerning as it had been, he supposed that he should be thankful and relieved that at least Skylar had expressed himself instead of bottling up his emotions and closing himself off. When he felt Skylar's hand begin to rub his thigh he glanced down at it for a brief moment. A small smile threatened to pull at his lips but he was quick to swallow it back. His gaze returned to Skylar when he heard his question. "I'm not really hungry... but we can watch something if you want to, or we can call it a night and get some sleep." He responded after a moment of thought.

Skylar glanced at his tv for a second before looking back at Alex. "Hm, well I guess we can watch something. I can't promise that I'll stay awake." Sky said, letting out a quiet chuckle before moving to turn on the TV. Before Sky got into bed, he almost pulled down his pants, but quickly remembered he couldn't. Playing it off, he shrugged his shoulders and climbed into bed with the controller for his PlayStation. He signed in and then went to netflix. "You can pick my love." Skylar said in a soft, loving tone as he handed the controller to Alex. He then slipped under the covers on his side and waited for Alex to come join him.

Honestly, Alex would have been perfectly fine and content with going to bed and getting some sleep, if that's what Skylar had chosen. Though he had no intention of admitting it, the past couple of hours and the whirlwind of emotions he'd been yanked through had thoroughly exhausted him. Instead of eluding to that though he chuckled faintly at Sky's words and gave a nod. "I'll be sure to try and enjoy the movie for both of us then, should you fall asleep." He said, his tone affectionate. When Skylar handed him the controller he hesitated a moment before he took it. "Thanks." He said, doing his best to ignore the way his heart seemed to leap upon hearing Skylar call him his love. He remained sitting until he finally settled on Jurassic Park. It was a simple movie, perhaps not the best for a "date night" and yet nothing else had really caught his eye. As it began to play he moved to climb into bed, settling beneath the sheets next to Skylar.
